  1. Btw I couldn't find my local loomis phone number until I checked yellow pages. So just a suggestion for those who are trying to locate it.

Also, the guy was completely useless. I asked about visa pick up from Montreal, then he says "it takes 3-7 days to arrive" (which I don't believe at all) and I said from Montreal to Ottawa?!! You've got to be joking, then he says "OH!! Oh, no, just 1 business day." I don't think he heard me say "Visa" in the beginning.

Then he said to wait until I got an email to check the status. Grrrrr.....here's hoping it comes soon

I got same thing wait for email. It doesn't make sense because their is no way for us to track the waybill once it leaves Montreal. The only thing we are waiting for is for our local depot to get it. Once they get it. I guess Montreal sends the email that its ready for pick up and then we present the waybill number to the local depot. grrrrr...

  2. I emailed the consulate this morning and received this,

    Good afternoon,

    Thank you for your email!

Please note the visas was issued on July 2nd, 2015. You will receive an email notification when they are ready for pick up at the selected Loomis location.

    Best regards,

I'm guessing this means they sent the kid's visas with mine and the Ceac website isn't reflecting the change. I still haven't received the Loomis waybill, I just called the generic Loomis number and she isn't showing anything in their system yet. Does anyone know how I can track down a waybill number?

I am in the exact situation. The problem is there is no contact information for the Saskatoon branch. I even did all the google searches. I don't have anything reflected in the us-visa info website either. Caligirl got hers last nite so I hope at least by close of business to get mine. I am just a little nervous because no way to contact anybody...

  3. nothing for me. I got issued same time as you. I checked Loomis website with the reference number. But my wifes email is the one used. Loomis told me last week they would email as soon as a waybill is generated. But i have heard sometimes this doesn't happen. Also none of the Loomis branches specifically the one we are waiting for in Saskatoon have a local phone number. Could this process be any more painful than a chinese torture technique by putting pins in somebody and waiting for them to bleed to death. I hope by the end of the day we hear something. My wife lives 2 hours from saskatoon and specificallly took off work on wednesday to drive a pick it up but at this point who knows.... Good luck to us...

  4. ok so last night my status changed

    from

    ISSUED Pending AP

    to

    ISSUED

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than five (5) working days, please go to http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courrier_information to track your courier waybill.

    hey caliber,

I noticed mine changed today to same thing. Did you get an email or waybill number? I checked the link at us visa-info but didn't see anything. I also put the reference number from loomis but no luck.

I think we will have it next week for sure. But at over 2 years in this process who knows Ive seen everything in this process.......

  5. my status updated to June 26 today. Now its gone from June 16, 23 and now 26 in ready mode. This process is so fffd up. I think these french people want their own independence from Canada anyway. And are pissed off they still have to correspond in english and not french. My wifes interviewee was really rude. And threw her papers back at her after she didn't need them. They really don't care 2 cents about us. Its curious on so many levels why Montreal is the only place that issues immigrant visas and the fact you have to stay at least 10 days there if you want to do your medical before your interview. Good luck to everyone. Hoping no more curveballs to deal with.

  6. 4 MONTHS IN AP... NO NEWS AT ALL.

Wow Im so sorry. Your situation is similar to ours. My wife is a filipina who got her Canadian citizenship and lived in Taiwan for 2 years. We are over 2 years in the process. The MTL embassy received my joint sponsor on the 16th of June, because they would not take my assets as income on my AOS during my wifes interview. I hope you hear something soon. I would try to get your husbands congressman involved, but who knows if it helps. However it did help with our case at the NVC as the Taiwan police clearance cut off on the page and they would not do anything until my congressman inquired. I waited 4 months just for that approval. Anyways good luck

  7. Hi all,

I had my visa interview yesterday at the US Consulate in Montreal. I am being sponsored by my husband who is a US Citizen. However, I was given white 221 (g) and was told to send one missing document. Basically my husband lives with me here in Canada and hence his parents are providing the affidavit of support. We had only completed I-864A and not I-864. The 221(g) request the we complete I864 and submit it to the US Consulate. He has kept my passport and everything else. Has anyone ever been through this and what is the experience like? How long does it take? Any information will be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

My wife received her 221g on May 15 because I did not make enough income in 2014. I had plenty of money in the bank and also brokerage statements from stocks that I own but the CO would not approve it because only he only said bank accounts count as income. If I had known that I would have sold some stocks and put it in my bank account. And I had to get my dad to do a joint sponsor 864. His taxes were not done so I had to wait until june 5 for the CPA to finish. I sent my wife the original 864 along with all my dads 1099s. Also it can only be sent from Loomis and Loomis does not have a US branch. So had her go to Fed ex and than Loomis to mail it which she did yesterday. So it seems like the end of July is the timeline now but who knows maybe an t was forgot to be crossed somewhere so that will add another 5 months to the wait. What a nightmare this process has been! Yet if you are from south of the border you can walk across and get full benefits, pay no taxes and get free healthcare. I know because I have coworkers who are Mexican who tell me this. Yet still have been over 2 years in process because of this bureaucratic nightmare. Good luck to all . Sorry for the rant....

  8. still waiting, checking progress on ELIS but nothing yet.

I went to wells fargo and they had no problem taking my passport stamp/visa to open a bank account and a secured credit card.

Good to know. I also bank at wells. Glad one less thing to worry about. How is the rest of your transition going? My wifes interview is next friday? Any tips for what else to do when arriving in states. Thanks in advance.

  9. you may not need a smog check, depending on where you will be living in CA. (urban vs. rural).

I will be living in Los Angeles. I almost certainly will need one. Did you import your car from Canada to Cali? Any trouble at the border?

    Thanks for your responses

Vehicle registration showing you are owner (no car loans).

Thanks my wife is paying off her loan before we cross

  10. I know we have to get a compliance letter from Nissan Canada. And then we have to schedule an appointment with Canada customs and US Border Patrol when we cross to show the paperwork for moving. Finally I think California will require a smog check in order to get it registered. Am I missing anything? Anybody out there that has specifically moved to California? I know we have the strictest emission standards. I just don't want any unknown problems since the car is such a big expense. Thanks in advance.

  11. yes you have to create an account first and then provide your ds 260 confirmation number for theIR1/ CR1 applicants. Then it will prompt you to a page for which loomis delivery location you would like. Somewhere in there it also gives you a registration number which i have but don't know if it will be needed for interview.

  12. Decided to go for it on my own with my wife. She gave me her passport information and just went through the process at the immigration visa link. I guess everything went ok because at the end it had her appointment information listed. By the way you also need the confirmation number from your DS-260. Hope this helps someone

  13. Ok having looked at the various threads about how to sign up for Loomis and also researching the website myself I am thoroughly confused and don't want to mess up my wifes application.

First of all I think they updated their website as of Feb 1, 2015. The old information seems to no longer apply.

Then the link page takes you to the non-immigrant visa page no the immigrant visa page.

Once I got to the immigrant visa page it asks for name, email and password. It doesn't specifically ask you to create a password but I am assuming so. Can all the recent folks who already completed help a Canucks husband out. Please offer step by step guidance as it seems the government wants to make everything as confusing as possible. Thanks in advance.

  14. I just checked ceac and my status switched to ready from in transit. Guess its time to sign up for Loomis. I need to reread the links here about Loomis. The link from the Montreal Consulate information is very confusing.
