  1. As others have said it is ultimately up to the POE officers. My wife and I got married last year and were concerned about a family cruise to the Bahamas since the cruise line was very vague. My wife and daughter both had their AP and we had no issues with customs returing to USA. Customs did pull the three of us aside into another room, reviewed their AP documents (took about 20 minutes) and then thanked us and let us on our way. To be safe we had copies of every document we could think of but the only thing they asked us for was their AP card/papers. Again this was our experience and I'm not sure how it may be for you or anyone else.

  2. A co worker that did a K1 visa for his bride told me that he had to buy a round trip plane ticket for his fiance rather than a one way ticket. He said it was required so in the outside chance that they didnt get married, that she had airfair back home. Is this true? My girl is almost at the embassy interview point and I want to know what am I likely to need. She is in the Philippines and just took her medical.

    Thank you!!

Bought my fiancee and her daughter one way from MNL to US and they're in the air now on the way.

  3. Hi! Thanks for sharing this information. I am going to do my CFO on Thursday and I only got one shot to finish everything since I have already booked my ticket flying back to my hometown the day after. There's no more available flights since it's peak season.

I just have some questions and I want to make sure I got everything prepared. Where did you get the counseling and registration forms. Are those downloadable on the CFO website? Are NBI Clearance and PhilHealth ID's accepted?

    Thanks:)

As Hank said just use his link and everything there.

CFO info is in my link.

Only form online is for registration to receive the sticker, the form for the actual seminar you have to complete there at CFO.

As for ID = passport and NBI will get it done.

Thanks for all the help Hank, used your site probably daily and greatly appreciate it.

  4. Praise God, my fiancee received her and daughters CFO stickers this afternoon after a long day and are ready to fly to the US Wednesday morning!

Here's a quick summary of her day:

    • Arrived at 4:30am Monday morning. She was very nervous at first because she was # 19 in line already then but then she realized not everyone was there for fiancee and she was below the 15 (not sure how many)
    • We were both very surprised the only documents they asked her for besides the counseling form and registration form were a valid photo ID and their visa photocopy, that's all......
    • She had pretty much anything and everything to be safe but wasn't asked for any of it....PLEASE, I'm not advising anyone not bring all documents others have previously suggested as I think we just got really lucky.
    • Got both stickers attached and she was on the way home at 3pm

The only odd thing the interviewer told her was to get an affidavit of consent from her 4 year old daughters father by attorney/official to be used at the airport. Her daughter was born out of marriage (never married, illegitimate), been raised by fiancee all her life but has the fathers last name. I have researched this extensively and always found that the mother, my fiancee, has all legal rights and does not need consent. If anyone has any experience or been told this at CFO please let me know, the last thing I want is them to show up at the airport early Wed. and not be allowed to fly.

Thank you all for the support!!!

  5. if you are still confuse ask you fiancee to give them a call for further clarification.. here is there digits

CFO Manila Location Tel. (+632) 552-4700

Thank u, I will ask her to call. I've gone thru the website many times and just don't understand where it says registration fee at bottom but no amount so I'll have her call. Thanks.

  6. I thought we had everything figured out for fiancee's CFO on Monday but now not sure. Her 4 yr old daughter will attend with her (know she's not required). Fiancee has all necessary documents but we're concerned what documents she needs for her daughter?

Also, I know the counseling fee is 400 php so will they have to each pay since daughter going with her? Finally, I can't seem to find anywhere what the registration fee is for the actual sticker for each of them?

Thank you so much, God bless.

  7. No update on CEAC today. Tried to call USEM 3012000 can't get a hold of anyone. Sigh!

Are you calling for the US? If so try 703-520-2235, US number to the embassy. I tried the number you listed yesterday and gave up but got through fine on the 703.

Hopefully soon it will change, we've been waiting for awhile to go thru the system but it's been steadily moving.

  8. You can try to contact 2GO (once they have the visa) and ask them to hold it for pickup, but odds are you will have to contact the embassy to change delivery instructions

Thanks Hank. I spoke to 2GO and although the have not received visa yet they said the could not change either way. When I spoke to the embassy after they said could only be changed up to 11:59pm day of interview like their website said. It was worth a try though and thank u for the advice. Now hopefully soon 2GO will pick up visas.

  9. Does anyone know if it is possible to change visa from 2go delivery to pickup? I know it says you can within 24 hours of interview but it has been 2 weeks since interview for us and status just changed to ISSUED yesterday. Due to recent events fiancee or relative won't be at address for about week and would love to change to pickup so don't have delay after failed attempted delivery than moved to SM. Sorry if duplicate post, searched everywhere and only saw within 24 hours. Thank you, God bless.

  10. Salamat! Thank you very much. Now waitiing for the NOA 2 and will be starting to go through the NVC process. Do you know know how many days we will have to wait for NOA 2 - DHG?

    Thank you! smile.png

walang anuman po. praise God, without Him I would have lost faith a long time ago. If you've already gotten NOA2 approval I believe it should only take 1-2 weeks receive hard copy in mail. i know it took longer for us but that was because we had an address error. Congrats again.

  11. I just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience having to go back to the US Embassy Manila after their interview to have finger prints done and more specifically how long after complete their visa status was updated? My fiancee and her 4 yr old daughter had their interview on Nov 13 but we forgot her daughters (K-2) NSO birth certificate. They also only took my fiancees finger prints during the interview and not daughters (maybe bc didn't have NOS bc)? Fiancee submitted NSO B.C. same day to Embassy.

Friday Embassy called fiancee informing her that they need her to bring daughter back for finger printing and that they do not need appointment so they will go Wednesday once back in Manila. Since they only called her is their any paperwork she should bring to Embassy? I know anytime the Embassy requires additional documents after interview it takes about 2-3 weeks, just like the NSO we submitted. Does anyone have any experience with how long it took their visa status to be updated after having to go back for finger prints?

We had both got excited b/c one of visa status changed to "ready" from "AP" Nov 27 but realize not very accurate. Thank you everyone for your help and support, without it we could not have come this far. God bless.

  12. God bless and be with everyone affected by this horrific storm. Something I read today made me think of how strong Filipino's are:

"Time to get to know the Filipino people...unbelievably resilient, long suffering, good natured, urber friendly, loyal, ingenius, and a bunch of survivors. At the end of the day, the Filipinos will shake off the dirt from their clothes and go about their business...and SMILE. They do not complain much, they will bear as much as they can. The indomitable human spirit at its best."

By no means am I trying to downplay anything that happened but I've never met any people as strong, friendly and willing to stick together as the wonderful people for the Philippines.

From the US our thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless!!!
