  1. You need to chill out, actually you are being quite rude. Just because you told the OP what you think the truth is, is no reason to be rude and condescending. Often a status will change to AP for a day or so right before it's issued. It does not automatically mean the OP is destined to be in AP for months or years.

To the OP: there is no way for anyone here to know exactly what is going on. Seems to me they just didn't get the visa printed in time. The only way to find the real answer is to email the IV unit at the embassy, and/or call the DoS(there is no such thing as the dop that you keep referring to). Best of luck and keep us updated.

Hey thanks alot & I also thought the same they were being a little mean, I emailed the IV at the embassy and is waiting for a response from them. Hopefully they just forgot to stamp it and thanks alot , I will keep you guys updated on what they email me :)

    Hi OP,

Everyone is in Administrative Processing until they get their visa. So please try not to worry too much for the sake of your peace of mind. If the consular say you are approved, you should be approved. It seems like their printing didn't catch up, like others say.

I understand your worries as our case status on CEAC site was "Administrative Processing" for some time.

    Best,

    JJ

Thanks guys you make me feel better when everyone says nice things :) Im trying not to worry and hopefully as soon as the IV at the embassy emails me back I'll let everyone know what happens :)

Oh haha & sorry i meant DOS not DOP ..

  2. Wow I tell you what GOD sure had plans for me that I never saw coming. I have had opportunities that few people have had on this earth. GOD has blessed me to share time and space with a woman that he designed himself, just for me. I've not only been blessed, I have been divinely favored. Thank you GOD for my beautiful wife Zoila.

I also believe in God and will pray for you and your fiance.

    Aloha Ke Akua

Awe! Good Luck on your journey guys and life together!! :) Yes God plans for us and we must accept whatever he plans. The feeling of being far away from the person you love is really hard! Thank you so much I really appreciate it :)

  3. You need to understand that they will tell you anything. You need to also understand that god does not grant visas. Look, you still have a long way to go, try and relax. All you can do is wait.

Its ttrue that god cannot grant visas but still god is the one who knows whats gonna happen and i ttrust him and I pray everyday so everything tto go right! Thanks anyways for answering my question I appreciate it :)

  4. No one is being mean! Because you don't like the answer does not make it mean. Would you really rather people lie to you, and say there there, it's all right?

Ok first of all i called tthe dop before reading your posts! So that does not mean I dont like the answer! I am.just telling you what they told me and thats all !! And thanks I dont need you to tell.me its alright! Whatever god wants will happen there u go :)

I'm sorry for being so "mean" (really,... you think that's mean? You must've been cuddled your whole life), but I was just trying to give you a dose of reality.

    Ok :)

  5. You asked a question, somebody answered it based on the information you posted, and you are not accepting it. Why ask the question in the first place if you already know the answer?

Based on what you wrote, it sounds like you are in AP. The embassy people are stupid for the most part, they either don't know what they are talking about ot are just flat out lying to you teling you there is no problem.

Ok why are you being so mean when I didnt even say anyhing o talk to u! Instead I was just saying no because I called them bwfore I read the posts and was just trying to tell them what they ttold me and not be mean! Thanks anyways but the dop said no ap :):)

"Then I checked on the ceac website for the visa and it went from ready to administrative processing!! What does this mean? Will this take long???"

That is what you asked. That is the question I have answered. If the website says you are in AP, you are in AP. Plenty of people before you have been assured they are not, when they are.

Ok thanks, I called dop she said hes approved thanks anyways :) :)

  6. You are in AP at the Embassy level, for further scrutiny. There is no time frame for that. It can take days, weeks, or months. On a couple of occasions people in high fraud countries are waiting longer than that. All you can do is wait.

No I called dop they told me his visa is approved and that just wait soon they will calll u and it doesn't seem that he is on ap!

I don't know for sure, but I would guess they just got a little backlogged in the processing and had anticipated having the visa ready earlier. If he asked and was told there were no problems with the visa, I'm sure they will have it ready for you very soon. Definitely call if you haven't heard in the next few days.

Hopefully thats whats going on!!! Thanks

  7. Hello everyone, so my fiance had his interview October 16 on a Wednesday and everything went well and got approved, and the consular gave him a pink slip to go pick up his visa the next Wednesday which is today October 23. He went to pick up his visa and on the way there the embassay called him and told him to not come because the visa isnt ready yet, my fiance asked her if there is anything wrong but she said no everything is fine and we will call u to come get it when its ready

Then I checked on the ceac website for the visa and it went from ready to administrative processing!! What does this mean? Will this take long???

  8. Thank you so much! Your post was indeed very helpful. We'll get to collecting those documents right away then.

Does anyone else have any input on the issue of filling out my fiancee's name as it appears in the passport? Again, form DS-156 requests in item #7 that I type my fiancee's first and middle names as they appear on the passport. However, on Lebanese passports, no middle name is present. Should I include her middle name anyway (as I have in filling out all other forms during this process)?

    Thank you!

    Ur welcome !! :)

  9. Hello all! I've read numerous threads on this forum prior to making this one, but this is my first formal post. I'd like to begin by saying that this forum has been endlessly and continuously helpful in making me understand the process of the K-1 visa. That being said, I have some questions specific to the case of myself (a U.S. citizen) and my Lebanese fiancee. Thank you all for any answers in advance!

    1. I am currently in Lebanon alongside my fiancee. We went to the US embassy in Beirut yesterday and acquired her package with forms to be filled out including DS-156 (filled online), DS-156K, etc. Is it okay for me to fill these forms out for her with her next to me (and me explaining everything), and then have her sign? The English used is difficult for her to understand.

    2. The package requests three documents whose names in Arabic we're having trouble identifying: civil record, family extract, police certificate. Does anyone know the names of these documents in Arabic?

    3. I am currently a full-time student and do not have any income. I understand that a sponsor fills out the affidavit of support, is that correct? Should I include with my fiancee's package that she takes to the interview a letter written and signed by me that explains my circumstances and the sponsor's relationship to me?

Thank you again! And sorry for the long post. I look forward to reading your responses!

Hey! I applied for a k1 visa for my fiance in lebanon also! We got our noa2 about a 2 days ago and im already preparing all his papers for him even though im far away! I could try helping out a little bit maybe we could get helpful information from eachother because I dont see many people here who applied for a fiance from lebanon.

    1. Yes you can! Anyone can fill in the form but make sure it will be signed by her and not you.

    2. Family Extrct - " ekhraj ed 3a2eleh - اخراج اد عايله

Civil record - sejel 3adleh - سجل عدله

And police certificate is if she was living in another country and she would get a different civil recoed from there.

    3. You should be above the poverty line for them to approve her visa! My parents will be the affidavit of support and they will fill in the form for me.

    4. I think her fathers name would be the middle name thats how it will.mostly work out I guess!!

I hope that I helped you out cause my fiance will b3 coming here soon also !! :)

  10. Yes anyone can fill out the form, online and then print it out. The online form is not submitted online but is merely there to generate the bar code that prints out.

Even if im in the usa and hes in his home country right ??? Thanks alot

You can fill it out for him if you like but it has to be all your fiance information and signature not yours. Your fiance will take it to the interview. Form Ds-156 needs to signed and dated but Ds-156k should not be signed, that will be signed when instructed to do so at the embassy.

Thank yoouuu very much i will fill it in for him and send it to him !! :) thanks

I am a february 4 filer and got transfered from vermot to texas on june 21st & on july 8th I received an rfe which was about 2 weeks ago and they replied to me by july 19 saying they received my rfe papers and they will be reviewing them and then BOOOOOOM ON JULY 23RD MY PETITON IS APPROVEDDDDD !! I WANT TO TDLL MY FIANCE BUT HE IS SLEEPING NOW AND ITS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT THERE BUT I CANT HELP IT HE WILL BE SO EXCITEDD!! THANKS EVERYONE FOR HELPIMG ME OUT!!! Soon I will be seeing my fiance just one small step and he'll be here hopefully !! :)

  13. Hmmmm sounds like maybe texas is formatting differently since they are new to the I-129F petitions. I'd definitely call the number listed tomorrow and get more information, especially since the sheet they say to send back isn't there or perhaps it's there but not on the colored paper it's said to be on. Mine was on standard white background paper.

Okay thank u so much and I have one more question.. do u think after I turn in my rfe that it would take long to get my approval :( ?????
