Got my interview letter in the mail today:) May 6th it is... Does anyone knows how long does it take to get the EAD card after they send an e-mail that your card is in production?

Hi:) we have almost the same time line. I just got my online update on our interview date which is May 6th and I also got an update on my EAD card that it is in production. You should let me know when you get your EAD card in the mail. I hope it won't take so long to send it out to us.

Got an e-mail update about our interview date finally for May 6th:) Still a month away ,but at least there is something to look forward to:) oh and still no update on my EAD card. Wondering if I even get that before my interview.

Got our interview date today. At least there is a day to look forward to. Now I am hoping I will get my EAD card earlier.

What are you adjusting from?

F1 visa. I went to college here and then did my opt.

Since it is has not been updated yet you didn't sign up to late, the current status online is what would have been sent in an email so if online it says " in line for appt" even if you signed up for email updates you couldn't have received an appt without it showing online. The mail notifications simpy reflect the online updates and the latest is visible at all times.

For me it was about 3 weeks after the biometrics that I received an interview appt letter.

There was someone here who missed the interview because they never got a letter nor did they receive updates for the interview so it is rare but it can happen. I would stay on the phone until I got someone if it's been 3-4 weeks since your biometrics

That is if you adjusted from any other visa than K1 visa

If you are adjusting from K1 it is a longer process and sometimes there is no interview

Thanks so much for your advice and your input. It really means a lot. Tomorrow is my third week after my biometrics so I will wait one more week and see what happens. I just seriously can't wait to have that letter in my hands and get going. This waiting period has been killing me. They usually say the local office might be busy that's why scheduling takes a lil longer, but I am praying every day that I get an update:)

Hello, for us it did. We got the interview and testing ( case is in line for interview scheduling) then one or 2 weeks later, the status was updated with the interview date which is when we then received the actual letter in the mail.

I sent my AOS package February 1st 2013 to the Chicago office. So i am almost a january filer, but not. Just have a quick question for you all. I completed my biometrics March 12th when i was scheduled. I saw it on the uscis web site that they updated my i-485 to Testing and Interview stage on March 20th. Since then I haven't received anything in the mail, and i am anxiously waiting to get the interview date already. I also signed up for e-mail and text updates on March 30th. My question is when they sent out your interview date letter did they update it and post the date on USCIS web site as well? or I should just wait until it gets here in the mail. I am just worried I signed up for the text/ e-mail updates too late cause it's already day 12 now after they updated to testing and interview stage. I just think that it's possible that we just still in line and the Tampa office is busy.

This is my first post here. I have been reading your posts and trying to match up the dates with my case. The whole process is just really stressful. Got married to my wonderful husband 1/12/2013 and we filed for i-485 i-765 and i-130 on February 1st. USCIS processed my case February 8th in the Chicago office. I have done my biometrics when they scheduled me on March 12th. Anxiously checking my case status on the Web site every day and my EAD is still in initial interview stage My I-485 was updated on March 20th for testing and interview. I have not yet received our interview date in the mail yet and I am so excited to get the date finally. This is DAY 12 since they updated my status and I only signed up for text/e-mail updates on March 30th. Does anybody know if they also change and put the date on the online case status on their web site??? I am just wondering maybe I already have a day scheduled and it is in the mail I've just signed up for the e-mail/ text updates too late. If anybody has any advice for me I would really appreciate it. It has been not fun sitting at home for almost 2 and a half months without having a job or a driving license and my poor hubby is working so hard I wish good luck to everyone on this journey. I am glad to join the February filers group.
