Don’t do it. It’s a waste of time.
-
Went to the field office. They asked me to wait. It’s been three months. 7 months since my interview.

Getting infopass appointment is hard. They fill up fast. So far 3 judicial ceremonies have taken place. I doubt so many people change their names do it seems like they are just dragging it because they can. I just need to know what I should write to change the name change.
-
Yes. They told me to contact the field office directly which is what I will do in two weeks. But I still wonder if I should withdraw.
-
I still haven’t heard anything about the oath. It’s been 2 months. Should I withdraw my name change.
-
Seems to be going both ways so far. I see questions about getting German transit visas and Italian citizenship etc.
-
I applied for a short stay visa more than 8 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since. I called their third party customer support to get a visa status but all I get is pending and they discourage us from calling them directly. I was hoping to leave by June 9th for Ireland. What options do I have? I have less than 2 weeks for the trip and they have my passport. Is it too late to expect to get the visa now?

What about home owners insurance ? Joint credit cards? Retirement savings beneficiary?
-
Both events only seem to happen after I relentlessly called and asked for information.

Just a week. However, it’s been 5 months since my interview, which was a year after my application was submitted. I just don’t want to wait another year trying to get a judicial name change.

Atlanta has 3 to 4 ceremonies a week. Judicial is once a month. Not to mention I am unsure how many people they let take the oath each time.
Would it seriously not not be faster for Atlanta?
-
How long does it take to get a judicial oath ceremony in Atlanta ? Can I withdraw my name change now so I can get it faster if the Atlanta judicial oath is slow? I’ve read that people have been waiting for a year or more? Is that true ?

I got an email saying I was in line for oath. From what I hear oath is going to be another s**t show.
I had had two info pass appointments. I went with my husband because I think they think we don’t live together so he came along. That might have helped? Not sure. But yeah showing up might actually help your case. I also went around the 120 day mark.

I tried infopss and would mention the 120 day rule.

We'll plan on bringing the original documents (bills and whatnot) presented in the N-400 application and all new ones since then. Other than tax transcripts, is there any reason we would need to bring documents from our Adjustment of Status or Removal of Conditions period?
Might as well to be on the safe side.

Congrats to you:)
Thanks. I would make an infopass appointment. They seem to help.

In my case I provided on going relationship evidence that includes taxes, insurance, credit cards, 401K, children, utilities, bank accounts etc. at the time of application.
HOWEVER, on the interview letter they did not mention anything about bringing anything but our spouses birth certificate and originals for any prior marriage paperwork. Nothing about Taxes or more evidence, or vacation pictures etc. So to throw that at the time of interview seemed out of left field.

I waited 4 days to get the RFE. I think the IO came to my house because it had "hand delivered" on the letter. Probably to see if we still lived together , which we did. Wish he just came during the evening he would see all the evidence ( like my husbands mess all over the living room and his "man cave" in the basement). I sent via fedex all my documents on January 3rd, 2018. I basically sent anything that showed we were still currently married. Our tax return for 2016 and 401Ks that list each other as beneficiaries, utility bills showing shared address for december 2017, credit card statements showing authorized users and health insurance for 2018, my daughters birth certificate ( which I had already sent before), car insurance for 2018 and some pictures of us on vacation plus the details of a speeding ticket I got back in 2009. I honestly felt like he harassed us because we are an inter-racial couple. I see people with less evidence getting approved and it baffles me. My husband even asked me if he should come and I said no, because I was going to go to work after my interview and honestly regret not bringing him along.

Yeah I had the same thing happen. They did not ask for more evidence during the interview letter and decided to just spring it out of nowhere. I sent my taxes with my original package as well as evidence of an ongoing relationship. Hope you get your RFE soon.

At this point I’ve been waiting 4 months. Should have withdrawn instead of listening to the advice here.
