  1. Hi, i need advise on this matter so I can relay to my cousin. She came here 2 yrs ago on a tourist visa and at her US port of entry, she was asked to go back to Philippines. she was found out to have overstayed on her last stay here in the US. I think she got a 5 yrs ban. Her daughter who just became a citizen wishes to petition her mom before the 5 Yrs ban. Is it possible ? And can anyone advise what are the steps? Hope to hear from you guys. Thank you.

  2. We are in the exact same position. I assume you have an issue with reaching or wanting to contact their biological father? I don't have an answer and am currently just entering the NVC process post NOA2.

    I do know that during the process of getting them an H visa before our marriage and AOS, she did get through a process of going through DSWD which included statements from neighbors stating he has not been in the children's lives and other documentation. I understand it can be done case by case. They were approved and were able to visit in the US and returned within the window. We have started though the I-130 process now for the kids. I am just hoping we are able to go through that again for the visa interview in Manila.

    Does anyone here has a copy of how these documents are made? Thanks.

  3. Hi everyone,

    My husband is a USC and is on process to petition my kids (his stepchildren)so they can live with us. I heard that during the interview in the consulate in the foreign county where my kids are, the following are asked;

    1. notorized statement of approval from the biological parent consenting to their child being taken to the US to live with the other biological parent.

    2. notorized statement of approval from one biological parent giving permission to the minor to leave the country with only one parent.

    I would like to ask any help regarding this matter and I would greatly appreciate it. Hoping to read from this post soon. God bless everyone.

  4. Hi, just newly registered here. You know what made me decide to join is I want to give my admiration of your pure intentions and strong willed personality to pursue your desire to petition though the kids are not your own. I can relate the feeling. I also admire one person who married a Filipina (that is me) :thumbs: because of his desire that the latter will see her kids back home. I salute to this person and to you woman. There are few people around this world who has such a good heart. God bless you more and to the person who became my husband. May we all prosper and I also desire that my kids will be here soon. He petitioned the kids as his stepchildren after I got married to him last year. We are on the process of the DS-3032 and paid the Affidavit of Support Fee. Looking at the forums, with God's help my kids will be here by May or June. Looking forward to it and hope everything comes out well too.
