  1. Tier2 officer can help you find out what is going on with your file. It will no be very helpful but you can at least verify if it is assigned to anyone or not. You can also get an info pass to your local field officer and talk to the officer face to face.

You can ask for the expedite with all the supporting documents.

March filer here lots of february filers still waiting too. Pateince and prayer can help us all.

    Good luck.

  2. so today i get call from my senator office tell me that NBC is still working on February case.

So when I got a call from senator office I told her that I have an info pass appointment this Friday.

she told when i go to info pass appointment i need to tell the immigration officer request to have a file transfer to local office

any suggestions should I do this

I think it depends on how busy your local field office is. If its not as busy as the NBC than it can be a good thing.

I called today and talked to Tier2.She said my case is pending and when I asked when will it be assigned to anyone? She repeatedly said it takes 6 to 8 months.

  3. I wrote a program to query the web server recursively. The following is the update as of this morning. Good amount of moving and lot more of February approval. I am happy for them as this is how it should have been - First Come First Serve

Even VJ is preventing me from posting the same data I posted before which is understandable. So, for those who are following this, the count of I129F application touched has gone down from 191 to 121 this morning. This progress is between my previous post and today.

Can you also get the data for I130s? I am just curious.

  4. I'm afraid she just told you that to get you off the phone. They often do that! I filed a petition for a parent in January and still have not received approval! They sent the case to local office in Feb and I am still waiting.

I have been noticing the frustration for those petitioners who filed in March and so on. I am sorry to tell you all but I filed in January and still have not heard..you might have a while to wait.

I agree with smileorange they are just telling you what you want to hear. I was told at my infopass over two month ago my application would be process already. When they tell both my Congressman and Senator 12 month who would you believe.

I agree with you both. I got reply from my congresswoman and they told her it will be 12 months but every single Tier2 officers told me 6 to 8 months. I just hope/wish that she is correct. Only thing I noticed different about her is she wasnt rude like most of the tier2 officers. She was talking pleasantly.

  5. We should call and talk to our representative even if we think it is not going to make any difference. It might not make difference now but it can make difference in future for others who will go through the same process we are going right now.

I called and talked to my Congresswoman's office and they are inquiring my case. Didnt get much information except they said the wait time is 1 year now. I called Tier2 yesterday and today and talked to them. They said my file is still in MSC and I should wait tiill the normal processing time of 6 to 8 months.

Next wekk I will have an infopass. I will do everything I can. If we give up it's not going to change.

  6. Below is the email my congresswoman's office got from USCIS when they inquire about my case. USCIS is giving different time periods to everyone. When I talked to tier2 they said it takes upto 6 months.

After a review of our systems it was found that Case MSCXXXXXXXXXX, Form I-130 received 03/06/2013 filed on behalf of XXXXXXXXXXX is currently pending. The NBC continues to receive I-130s and ship them to the field for adjudication. Based on staffing, our current processing time for I-130s is approximately 12 months.

NBC will review and adjudicate I-130 Immediate Relative requests for expedite (if the file is located at the NBC). If you request your case be expedited the case will need to have met USCIS expedite criteria. Information regarding the expedite criteria can be found at the link below.

    http://search.uscis.gov/search?affiliate=82601b2ec&query=expedite+criteria

We strive to deliver fair and competent service to our applicants and ask for your patience as we continue to process applications.

    I hope this information helps.

  7. Ok we received receipt number from the NBC in KS. 6/04/13. Is there any way to check the progress of our i-130? The MSC prefix of the number will not work on the USCIS site. Tomorrow makes 45 days since we got the letter from them.

132 days since my noa2. My receipt number can not be found on the USCIS web site.

The only way to check it is to call Tier2 or info pass.

  8. I went ahead and wrote my congressman today. What the hell, right? I voted for the guy, he should have my back now too! Although, my email wasn't so much a cry for help as it was a commentary on how awful the visa process is for those of us trying to bring in our family members legally. And how the Immigration Reform Bill recently passed in the Senate does nothing to help us.

Yours is a DCF and still taking that long. That is really ridiculous.

I also called my congresswoman's office and compliant about the Visa process.

  9. hey VJ members,

any one have any update yet? Any one receive their NOA 2? I'm the USC and I filed for my husband who is an Indian national residing for the past 4 years in London. Its going on 4 months since I filed for I-130. Wondering if I should file I-129f? If so, is it any faster with I-130? Or is the approval for I-129f faster? Thanks.

No update here. It seems like everything is froze in MSC. Nothing is moving. I am sure you can file for I 129F but if you are married it will be denied. Just guessing I am not sure.

  10. I gave up calling them. they don't give any info. Only thing thy say is it takes 6 to 8 months to be approved. So I am gonna wait six months and see calling thm. Because there are still so many February filers and jan filers without NOA2. I just feel stupid calling them because their answers are conflicting sad.png

I don't believe them what they say because I had conflicting answers from two different officers. I have no idea how they were giving me two different answers by looking at their computer system and getting my information from the same system.

But I am not going to give up I will call them at least twice a month. Because thats the only way I can find out the status of my file. I can't even see it online.
