shtu got a reaction from Omnia in Please Share your "F2a Visa Interview Questions" with your consulate
Happy to share that we got approved today. Thank you VJ for help!
We had a lot of relationship evidence (skype call and chat log, mobile messages bills, 2 photo albums, joint bank accounts, utility bills, join car insurance, boarding passes, and some other) and I (petitioner) was also present at the interview. This is probably why we had only a few questions asked.
    First worker:
    1. Is this our first merriage?
    2. Who is *****? (my father, who is co-sponsor)
    3. Asked to provide all evidence we have and some original docs.
Consul (asked me to wait and talked to my husband only):
    1. How did we meet?
    2. Does the petiotioner live in the US or Ukraine?
Good luck and don't be afraid friends!

shtu got a reaction from FeelingGood in November 2013 F2A Visa Bulletin Prediction
It is bad, because you get visa only if your PD is earlier then the cut-off date posted in Visa Bulletin. Possible retrogression means that cut-off date in November Visa bulletin might become earlier then it was in October VB. Hopefully it won't happen and cut-off date will at least stay the same.

The main document that is referred in this article, is the one posted earlier by America-del-sur. It does have many words, but what I understood is that DOS entities such as Embassies and Consulates will operate until they run out of "emergency" funds. It is not clear how many funds has each Embassy and for how long it can operate during possible shutdown period. Maybe someone got deeper in this doc and can explain more?

No problem! No, the NVC didn't request to fill it online, but we will, just more closer to an interview date.

Sorry, the question was whether NVC does the scheduling only one week or whole month long. Because there are speculations, that ILs are sent out only second week, or only last week and so on.
I want fellow VJ members including myself to have true info about what's going on there.
Some get IL same day as case was complete, some get in 20 days and some get in 60 days. It is totally dependent on Embassy backlog and visa availability (cut-off date). So no, 45-60 days is not a general rule of thumb.

shtu reacted to aaron2020 in I think its unfair to have I-485ers and Consular Processing both in the same category
What's the difference when a US citizen petitions for a spouse as an Immediate Relative?
If the spouse is in the US, they file for an adjustment.
If the spouse is outside the US, then it's 6-12 months.
How does creating two categories help the F2a? Doesn't it leave them in the exact same position as now?
The PD in the F2a category has only been current for 14 days. These people have only ha the opportunity to file the I-130 and I-485 for a short period and that will probably end in a few months.
Is it unfair because all if you are processing outside te US?
Normally, F2a do not normally get to file to adjust concurrently when filin the I-130. In a few months, they would have to wait for a current PD to adjust.
I don't see how splitting the F2a category into two groups will help. If the number if visas are split as well, then it's a zero sum game. The only way for it to be beneficial is to gent more visas, and that's not going to happen.
I think you guys are bitter because some F2a are able to file concurrently and adjust right now.
Instead of being bitter, be happy for those who are just like you who are getting this lucky window where all F2a cases are current.

Hi Mily7, you should ask NVC your case number and invoice identification number. Make sure you give petitioner and beneficiaries emails to them when they tell you your case and invoice number.
You need to have your USCIS receipt number, names and DOB of petitioner and beneficiary when you call NVC.
Once you have case and invoice number, you can login to payment portal: https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/Signon.aspx?node=Signin
And wait for invoice to be generated

to my surprise, I received this response from NVC after submitting the choice of agent in email:
Unfortunately, the principal applicant's assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General does not participate in the National Visa Center's Immigrant Visa Electronic Processing Program. Therefore, all forms and documents should continue to be mailed to the following address:
