I have a question and this is my first time using this site. It is in regards to the K-1 visa process. I feel like a understand the process overall, but I have some questions of concern.
1.) I am in a relationship with a Peruvian citizen ( for 1 year now. yes we have met a few times in person ) who works in Canada as a "live in caregiver."
2.) I am curious if me being a US citizen, with her working in Canada at the moment if we can file for a K-1 visa still.
3.) Our "dream" would be that we file for the k-1 visa... she comes to USA to visit me ( once approved. ) on one of her vacations from working, and then she returns back to Canada to finish her 24 month contract agreement with the "live in caregiver" job she has. ( I am scared that doing this we might get denied because they might automatically assume once married she will not return to canada to continue her job... ) We just want a valid marriage here in the USA, so that once her contract agreement is over we can begin to process to get her over here in the USA to live with me so we can FINALLY have a normal life together.
If anyone could help me with information, or similar issues they might have had like this. Please anything would help.
