  1. For some odd reason I can't upload pics but the wording is:

    Card Was Mailed To Me

On April 13, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSC**********, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by May 13, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Okay thanks! Mine will prob update tomorrow since I am a day behind you!

  2. Woo-hoo!! This still feels pretty unbelievable to my wife and I. I guess we won't be convinced until we have that GC in our hands.

Whats the wordage you see on the USCIS website indicating its been sent? Just curious because I am impatiently waiting for mine to switch, hahaha.

I just got my welcome letter notice in the mail today, I can atleast use that to surprise my wife on friday during my birthday dinner.

  3. My wife just called me at work. She got a phone call from the number 816. Yup, just 816. She said it was USCIS, letting her know she did not need to attend the Biometrics appointment set for her today. They confirmed her approval and told her she would be receiving her 2 year GC in the mail in the next 2-3 days. They confirmed that Welcome Notice would come first and then GC. I have not received any status updates though. I did log in to USCIS website and status is still on Welcome Notice mailed.

Good to know the welcome letter comes first, and then the GC separate. TY!

  4. Hi! I think about a week after the "welcome notice sent" message we got an email saying the card was sent and it did come with a tracking number.

Too bad they sent it to our old address in Florida! Luckily our old address is a family friend so she mailed it off yesterday. Can't wait to have that green card in hand!

    Nice! Good thing! lol.

Alright, thats good to know it will come with a tracking at some point. Oh too bad I wanted it by April 17th so I could surprise my wife on my birthday with it. Hopefully it updates soon. :) I thought june was a bit of a late date for them to say I will have my card by June.

  5. It's soooooo great seeing all of these approvals this week!

    Congrats to everyone.

Those of us who already got the GC in the last few weeks... once your status changed to the "welcome notice was sent" did it ever update to anything else like a tracking number? How long does it usually take to get the notice in the mail? Mine says I should get it by june but that seems like a long time for mail. LOL.

For our k1 I remember we could track the visa, so just curious if we can track this GC!

  6. Approved around 530pm est. :)

--- I never once called tier 2 or uscis. I did a few service requests, and emailed the ombudsman three weeks ago.

Almost hit the year mark! So thankful I can't wait to get the card. I plan on surprising my wife with it once we get it! It says I should get it by June 7th but from what I read it takes only a week.

Good luck to everyone else waiting!

  7. Is anyone else just kind of in denial about it at this stage. I am actually rarely on here now because it upsets me too much (either seeing how little progress has been made, or envious of those getting approved). I don't really talk about it any more, the other day my husband made a half-arsed joke about the whole thing and I asked him kindly not to (he wasn't being mean, just trying to cheer me up).

I am pretty much on shutdown though. I can't handle how unfair this is and how f**ked it is and if I think too much I get SO annoyed and so upset and frustrated. I am a control freak personality so this is hell. The only way I have found not to lose my mind is just healthy ol' repression and denial at this point! :(

Feeling the same way! We have just about the same NOA1 date, yours is about a week earlier than mine. I am following your timeline now to see the progress! I hope we both hear something very soon. I see you aren't too far away we are in upstate NY area. This is taking way too long, and its frustrating that we have to both worry about getting a day off to do the renewal for EAD / also that hers might expire before we get the new one ( if we hadnt recieved the GC yet. ) I am so sick of worrying about everything! We also considered my wife going to college, and oh you cant without a GC! So annoying. I try to stay away as much as possible as well because it makes me more upset knowing they havent approved it yet lol.

We should have our GC by the end of April, good luck to us.

  8. It also had the name of my wife, and our case number attached in the subject as well.

Maybe carrie was assigned a large batch of people from March/April - and when you called it hadn't been updated yet in the system that she was working on all of them.

She could very well be working on all of our cases in a large batch.

3 weeks shy of a year, and my birthday is on the 17th of April... Id really like it so when my wife is surprised me on my birthday I can also surprise her. :)

Best birthday gift everrrrrrrrrr. Por favorrrrrrr. :dancing:

  9. I sent mine on 03/17, but still no update from the ombusdman :crying:

I sent mine on 3/20 - our one year wedding anniversary, so the fact they said the 18th was wrong lol ( in my case anyways. )

This sounds like a generic email to me that was just sent to some folks.

Ha!! looks like they sent it out as mass communication because I also just received the same email from OMBUDSMAN...I really hope that we will receive something concrete soon..

Agree! I am so sick of the run around. I was cleaning just a few moments ago, and found a service request later from January that said I would get an answer soon... ( 2 months, still no answer. ) Soon my ###! lol

  10. Just got email from Ombudsman guys..... Check it out:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your request for assistance. On March 18, 2015, in response to our inquiry, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) indicated that your case is actively being reviewed. At this time, USCIS is unable to provide a specific time frame for resolution of your case. The Ombudsman's Office will continue to coordinate with USCIS Headquarters to resolve your case.

Please be advised that USCIS has 60 days to respond to our inquiry. Any available updates will be forwarded to you. Cases that do not receive an update will continue to be brought to USCIS for resolution.

In the event that you receive new information or experience changed circumstances, please notify us by email at cisombudsman@hq.dhs.gov. Please reference 'New/Urgent Inquiry Number XXXXXXXX' in the subject line, and describe in detail your situation.

Thank you for your patience as we work with USCIS to resolve your inquiry.

    Sincerely,

    Carrie Anderson

^^^ I just got the SAME email, from the SAME person! My heart was racing just seeing the email, and then I was like oh great... wait some more. My case doesnt even show that its been touched on the USCIS web since 4/21/2014. Ugh. Hang in there. post-155638-0-53082400-1427820157_thumb.jpg

  11. USCIS has just started transferring cases around again but it shouldn't affect your case http://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/workload-transfer-within-service-center-operations

Experiences on this thread tell us that until you get a letter / RFE from a local office other than your own, your case is at the NBC. If you get told by Tier 2 that your case is not at the NBC it probably is. If you get told by Tier 1 that your case is not at the NBC it definitely is.

In your case they probably ran out of NBC headed paper and used Vermont's stock instead, or moved the printer there.

Lol , that made me laugh thanks! My work out and your sense of humor made my day better. I'm just getting so annoyed with it like many of us others. I'm so thankful for visa journey.

  12. So I just realized at the top of my service request it now shows the Vermont Service Center. I was never notified that it was transferred from the NBC to Vermont. I guess this means we might be scheduled for an Interview soon! Disheartening after waiting for a year. Hoping to hear some news soon! Has anyone been transferred to a field office, or service center nearby / approved without an interview? From what I can see most of the time it ends with an Interview if you are transferred to a field office / service center like Vermont.

EAD renewal notification letter dated March 3rd 2015 shows NBC Lee's summit address and says service center NBC.

Service request email response that's says " no timeframe, still pending review " shows Vermont address at the top.

No notice of transfer, my uscis status still says finger print fee received. -.-'

  14. I sent an email to the mighty Ombudsman earlier today. I noticed a few of you mentioned a form, and I cant find going through all these millions of posts how to get to the form. Can someone direct me if I should fill out a form first? I literally just sent a direct email to the Ombudsman explaining that I have been pending AOS for over 11 months now....

I also got my EAD biometrics date today for renewal, scheduled in 2 weeks. I am rescheduling it though because we just had a 2 week vacation, and I cant get anymore days off work for atleast another 4 weeks.

Hoping I get some good news, and good luck out of doing this Ombudsman ordeal, and wish I would have done it sooner.

  15. Taxes were approved, and went through just fine! That was a relief at least.

However still 10 months pending AOS here!

Our work permit expires soon, and so next week we are sending out an updated work permit request to get hers renewed.

So to all of you April filers who are still waiting, and have a work permit. Make sure soon you renew it! Dont forget that yours is only valid for 1 year. :)

I am glad we kept this forum active so we could stay in touch with all the April filers.

    Have a good sunday everyone!

Please make sure you all fill out your timelines as well!

It helps everyone to know where each stands.

  16. Yeah it is getting to be quite frustrating.

Has anyone here filed taxes yet?

Ours are still pending, and we filed ours married/jointly a little more than 2 weeks ago.

My spouse hasnt worked the entire year, but we still had to file married jointly bc my taxable status is married on my paystubs.

Just hoping we get our refund and it doesnt cause problems that she doesnt have her GC yet!
