Thanks!. My thoughts to you would be to memorize anything you included on your application as they can ask. Study all the questions and answers. Most importantly remain calm and stick to answering only what is asked. My wife reassured me that it was easy as I knew all the Q&A and that the interviewer is a person like me. That helped a lot. Good luck!

Makes sense. I was just worried because of the dates. Thank you so much for responding.

Hello! ROC was approved 07/31/18 and 5 days later I was sent my GC. Today 08/13/18 I received a 18 month extension dated 08/06/18 in the mail for ROC. Is there an error somewhere or is it just a mistake on their end? I didn't get interviewed or RFE.

.we got there late like an hour late because of traffic and rain but we still got in and still interviewing me was really hard on us she acted like she didn't know Spanish and then she wanted him to answer some questions in Spanish and me translate and then after a few minutes she was speaking Spanish to him but there was a lot of time that we spend the nearest like 20 to 40 minutes and guess what we were approved !!!!
I'm so excited and happy for Janet and Adonis!! Congratulations and see you at ROC.

Whats the number you called and how did you know your card was in production? I am trying to figure out when we should expect it to ship. Our case was approved August 7th (online). I appreciate your feedback and majob congrats. I hope you have it in hand today and pop a bottle of champagne.
The number I call is 1-800-375-5283 it's actually the general number for USCIS. I knew my card was in production my checking my case status online at USCIS.GOV. It will update to "ordered new card". I'm definitely celebrating another milestone!! Thanks!
We got the interview letter today. September 1st 8am
Wow I can't believe they are going to interview you guys after waiting so long. On a positive note at least it's moving along. I wish you the best of luck on your interview. Please keep us posted.

Hey I finally have my green card in hand as of 08/19/2015

That is no problem

Hello everyone!! My card was mailed out on 08/17/15 and I decided to call USCIS today to ask for a tracking number. The Tier 1 officer said to me that not everyone receives a tracking numbers and I wouldn't be given one. How is that possible. She was offended when I told her she wasn't giving me the help I needed. I them demanded to be transferred to a Tier 2 officer and she was upset and told me I'd have a waiting time of about THREE hours which I was I'd just get a call back. Well there was no wait time. Immediately an officer answered and provided me the tracking number. I tracked my card and I should be receiving it tomorrow in the mail. Definitely speaking with a Tier 1 officer is a waist of time they don't help what so ever. You have to demand a transfer to a Tier 2 officer.

We called again yesterday and they confirmed it is in fact at the local office. Which one? No idea. Tier 2 agent said there is nothing we can do now but sit and wait some more and that we should have communication soon. My husband's medical expired in June...so we are now crossing our fingers we don't get an RFE for it. If we don't hear anything from USCIS in 3 weeks, we will put a 3rd service request. We are hoping we don't have to go there. This is so frustrating!
Congrats to everyone else seeing the green light at the end of the tunnel! We hope to join you guys soon!!!!!
Hi, According to the USCIS web page, you have another year after applying for AOS, in that case your medical exam expiration date will be in September.
-
Just received a letter from USCIS two days ago that says "potential for interview waiver". Although they did mention that it will take for about 6 months or so, how long did it take for those who had their AOS few years ago??
Hi, welcome to the club, take about a year from the moment that you apply.
-
Congrats a the latest approvals !!!

We were lucky that we weren't asked to redo the medical. My wife had her medical last June 2014 so would have been expired last month. In our RFE they only asked us for relationship proof and updated G-325As.
Hi, According to the USCIS web page, you have to apply before the year of your date of your medical exam and you have another year after applying for AOS in that case your medical exam expiration date would have been in September but anyway congrats!

This sucks! Over 14 months and counting! Everyone is getting the green, but not us
Wow, I'm sorry, about what's happening to you, Waiting without no reason is very uncomfortable, try calling the USCIS and tries to talk to a Tier 2.

Hi all, I'm just wondering for pre-planning purposes- if your medical expires (which ours probably will), is it a possibility to get the medical done in your home country again at the same clinic for the k-1? Or does it have to be done in the US?
I consider the best for you is get your medical exam in USA

As my then fiancé was doing some research to begin our K-1 journey she stumbled upon Visa Journey. I can’t express the gratitude we have for Visa Journey as we relied on it guided and community for every step of our journey. It saved us money as we never paid anyone for help. Thank you!! If anyone needs any help (as a token of gratitude) feel free to reach out.
