  1. So as we're awaiting our petition's arrival at the NVC, I'm compiling all the necessary documents for the next phase.

My mother has agreed to be our co-sponsor, she's a NATURALIZED CITIZEN.

Problem is she CAN'T find that certificate.

For the I-134, do they NEED a copy of that certificate to go along with it?

If I'm not mistaken (please correct me if I'm wrong), the actual form she fills out ask for the certificate #.

We are freaking out because a replacement certificate costs $340 and could take up to 6 months.

My fiancé will be going through the Ciudad Juarez consulate in Mexico.

    Thanks for any help!!

  2. I called last week and thy told me it was taking 8 weeks. I called again today and I got the NVC Case #!!!! I'm excited for the next steps.

Don't worry everyone, it will happen for you too. Just be patient and remember, even though this is a long process now, you will spend the rest of your lives together!!! So, in the end, all the waiting will be worth it!! Stay positive guys!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

how exciting for you guys ?

I have a question I hope you can answer:

We've received NOA2 on August 7 and I've been calling NVC almost everyday and they don't have out case yet.

    They keep saying "8weeks".

When I call, they only ask for receipt # not birthday or names.

What info did you provide when you phoned?

  3. R.I.P. NVC.

Since July 27, 177 NOA2's have been approved. The number of those received by NVC is 4, which is 3% of the cases. In June that number would have been around 35%. July numbers dropped like a rock. August numbers don't exist. See my other post for the data.

Is this stat a combination of both VSC & CSC approvals? Or which service center are you referring to?

  4. Killer! I'm working with the same service center, so hopefully they'll be running a smilar timeline. Ours was approved 6 days after yours to boot.

Based on the information I'm seeing, the Vermont Service Center seems to be more representative of the 8 week lag, whereas the CSC cases seem to be closer to 2 weeks. This leads me to believe it has less to do with the VSC or mailing time, and more to do with the service center's processing time. This would make sense as it seems like the VSC is hauling #### in terms of approvals and might otherwise be lagging behind?

See? This corroborates my theory a little bit.

We just got approved last week August 7 (from CSC) and I've called about 3 times since but they just tell me they (NVC) hasn't yet received it.

Oh man, I'm hoping ours doesn't take longer than 2 weeks.

  5. Wow I'm still in shock from having seen the infamous "....we have approved this petition"!!!!

I never received a text nor email! :/

By chance I just happened to log on and input my receipt number and BAM! There it was.

I had to check it several times as my eyes couldn't believe it!

Thank you to ALL the amazing VJ members who have helped answer questions.

I swear I know this wouldn't have happened had I not found this helpful forum.

I will send those still waiting very positive vibes!

Don't lose faith! It will happen!

  6. Congratulations to those approved!!!

We are NOA1 April 24 and still waiting. I would like to ask those approved from April NOA1 especially CSC to tell us if the VJ Estimated Timeline was close or ??? Either way it would be good to hear. Ours has yoyo'd from as early as 8-02-13 to 8-12-13 and today sitting at 8-11-13 for the earliest estimate on approval. I hear this VJ Estimate uses Igor's data to calculate, is that true?

    Thanks to all :-)

Yes I wanna know the same thing: to those April filers from CSC, how accurate (or off) was the estimated adjucation date?

    April 24 NOA1 & still no news ?

I'm seriously starting to feel down.

everyday it's always on my mind.

  7. on the same note, it looks like the CSC has a 3 day week to work 12 hours a day and go to sleep for the rest of the week...It has gotten better now that they are looking into long awaiting cases, but still apprvoing applications well ahead. It speaks to their lethargy more than anything and lack of some brain power. Should have known better to have lower expectations. A 4th grader will do much faster if given a paper outlining process than these bunch of knuckleheads. So frustrating to wait and wait and wait...

I can't wait to complete my 5 months and call our Senator's office !!

At this point, I am actually thinking of filing a legal case against USCIS to explain the inconsistencies of processing applications in correct order. I just thought about it..let me see if I can pull my self together and contact my current attoreny and see what our options are for legal action !!

Looks like you're almost at the 5 month mark.

Put in a good word for me when you contact the senator ? as you and I are both in Chicago ?
