Alright. So I'll dig out my NOA to get the address, unless someone beats me to it. But other than that, I think the next step is to draft up a template of a letter for us to send to the Director? I think if people want to write their own personal letter that's fine. But for people who just want to fill in some blanks, maybe have the blanks as something like "Petitioner/Beneficiary Names" "Case Number" "Application Type" and some additional details like the time you've been waiting and what your estimated time frame is looking like. This would allow people to type in the blanks quickly and just send one off to get the numbers up. I think a few members have typed up similar letters to congressmen so we could base them loosely on those perhaps?
This is the kind of thing that needs to be done with consideration and organisation to be suitably effective. We need to rally together as many filers as possible, whether still waiting for NOA2s or maybe ones who have received them and are still unhappy, family members of petitioners.

I agree a consolidated approach aimed at someone who has the real potential to change the process. On our own we also need to write letters to senators, congressman and Obama.

Yep, need to stay focused and emphasize what the real issue is. The issue is that the CSC K1 filers have been singled out bear the brunt of the added work load caused by 450,000 new applications. No other immigration category other than K1 has been sacrificed in this manner.

    May I suggest an alternative:
Instead of sending a petition to the President send the petition to the Director of the CSC. Despite what a number of people have said about the amount of care CSC has for the the K1 filers (most of which I think is true by the way) the Director is much more closer to making something happen. The Director was given a direct order by Janet Napolitano to implement DACA but I'm sure he/she wasn't told how to implement it. I'll bet sacrificing K1 filers wasn't even his (her) idea. Normally someone in that position would ask for proposals from their staff and approve. Another member of vj has provided IMO undisputable evidence that K1 filers have been singled out to bear the brunt of the DACA onslaught. The director knows what's going on and is far more closer to what's going on with the K1 filers than the President. All the Director has to do is 1. recognize that the K1 filers have suffered enough already and 2. shift the burden from the K1 filers to some of the other types of cases. He/She has power to do that. Now our numbers (supporting an appeal for MERCY)start to have more relavence.
    Just my thoughts.

That being said, if you word it in a way that would give the petition wide appeal (as in someone who isn't involved directly with the visa process would read it and want to sign), then it might be worth a shot.

I don't think the plumbing issues makes a difference. It is not like they take a sh*t anyways because they have their heads so far up their own @sses they have to eat their own ####### to survive.
But seriously we should all reach out to press agencies I would suggest conservative. It does not matter what side you are on but due to this in-depth analysis of this post I-129F Delay at the CSC: A Comprehensive Analysis of the Data it is obiously because of the daca's. A conservative group with their opinions against illegal immigration would be more likely to champion our cause because of this.

Oh how I envy you. My timeline's been heading the wrong direction since I filed. Started off mid August, now 7 weeks later and it's early to late September. Basically my timeline has moved back almost as far as the length of time I've applied. Just gonna have to keep being as patient as I can, and should probably stop checking that thing, because I know it's not getting better right now for CSC filers

I have read alot on VJ about "Congressional intervention" including that USCIS has special people alloted to deal with these requests..Most here seem to be naysayers...well I contacted a Congressman who sent me to the Senator who's office called back immediately. They said you need to show some "hardship" with the delay. Well I am sure we are have them...I wonder though considering their mandate is 5 months...what they will do.. Perhaps nothing...but sending off the letter certainly made me feel proactive. I will keep you posted.

Contacting congressman or senator is something you can do. Personally I still believe people need to come together and contact the ombudsman with a united message about CSC. I tried a little while ago, but not sure how many others also contacted them.

Loving the jokes on this thread, making this wait a little more entertaining. But seriously this whole thing is frustrating for us all and I have just been lucky enough to have had a visit from my usc man for my birthday, now he is home and I read this, been feeling lonely enough! CSC gonna be feeling some squeezing from us all if things don't get moving soon!!!
Let just keep the jokes coming and try to remember the end will come..... eventually!!
Good luck to you all xxx

You mean they've been open the last six months? Could have fooled me.
Next we'll be hearing in the papers about all of these I129F's showing up in the local sewage drains, haha.
It may just be about time to contact the media on the issues the CSC is having lately.

    Thanks JD for your action!
My fiance in California will definitely make action to media too.
I read on a blog that a radio helped to create a buzz about a difficult K-1 case, which led a congress person to give support and she finally received NOA2.
So newspapers, radios and TVs could be our choice.
I hear Mark Zuckerberg is starting a political advocacy group on immigration reform. How about presenting the super-effective K-1 procedure to the Facebook CEO?

I wrote to two senators and a congressman a week ago. Still waiting on a response. Glad you wrote to the media, maybe if they are placed in the spot light, they'll pull out the thousands of I129F from the toilet that they are apparently having plumbing problems with. Your profile picture is beautiful by the way, you two make a very good looking couple!

I just wrote a letter to the LA Times to have them investigate and write about the massive delays currently occurring at the CSC with I-129F petitions. I will continue to write to the various papers and media outlets around the country every day until the CSC starts spitting out approvals. When I see they are still working on July and it is almost April and many people are still waiting for a response after receiving their NOA1 in July and August, it does not exactly fill me with hope that my fiance will be here this year. If you would like to help, I propose that you do the same, contact your congress person, contact media outlets by phone or write to them and let them know about this intolerable situation that is going on with fiance approvals at the CSC.

Lets just be respectful people. We are all dealing with the unknown when it comes to the government anyway which is stessfull enough. People come here to find some comfort through this long process. Lets be a little more tolerant. No reason to get ugly with eachother. We are all in the same boat more or less or have been at one time or another.

Yes. That is the start. General complaint to all your congressional representation. Also to the USCIS ombudsman. Why not also to the White House while we are at it?
Beyond that, press releases to media outlets to see if any will take up the cause (very good idea for VJ'ers in the city/county where CSC is located).
Some have mentioned going to CSC and starting a protest. If we could actually get 100+ folks or so, we could actually get media coverage and perhaps get some dialogue started...
How about a class-action lawsuit? Any grounds for this? Hey you lawyers out there, any idea if this is a possibility? I am a techie, so this outside my area of expertise...
That is a start for some ideas.

I think we need to sign a petition about all these delays. Its not like situation was not bad enough already! Every day their work load gets higher and higher which is causing more setbacks. The way its going we will be lucky to get an approval this year! Petition to the ombudsman???

This is another issue we need to raise in our long litany of complaints. Are they going to make up the processing days? How will the missed work be mitigated? It's not as if they are not already hopelessly backlogged. This is another example of the lack of accountability that we need to be urgently addressing in any way we can. That we just idly by and say "be patient" and "there is nothing you can do" are useless platitudes. Action needs to be taken and now.
