  1. Neither USC income ovrseas or beneficiary's income overseas counts.

Take your wife's income and subtract it from the poverty guideline amount. You need to come up with 5 times the difference.

What counts is this: Stocks, bonds, cash, and major assets such as home, vehicle, etc that can be sold within one year for cash.

Your wife still has to fill out the I864, she just has to declare your assets with her income (if any). No matter your job in your home country, your income is considered zero in the US.

Thankyou to make it more clear.

  3. Hi congrats on finally getting case completed. My case has been completed since October 28 2015 and still waiting for interview.. Priority date is 15 September 2014.. Hoping to hear this month or feb.. It's really fustrating to wait so long for an interview to be scheduled:( it's really ridiculous cause everything is completed and they take so much time just for that..or wait for PD to become current before they schedule.

Wow that too much late.may b embassy is overload with interviews. Every embassy have own circumstances.but I prey u have a interview soon. I listen that for CR-1 case PD is not matter, I am not sure how much is it true,

My CC was on 12/30/15 and same letter received today 01/06/16, waiting for interview. Hope to get it soon.

When u get interview appointment later let us know.
  4. Hi everyone,

I am so happy to share that I finally got my green card today, 51 days after POE (at JFK) and 49 days after GC payment at ELIS. I am on IR1 visa and there was no update on the USCIS website and my records were not available at the SAVE database (up until this moment) so I was starting to panic. I could not even apply for my social security number. Every time I call up USCIS they just told me to wait. So finally it's here! God is good!

    Stel

Is it tempreally green card or permanent.
