You're probably right. I called NVC and received our case number and the case status says "Ready". I'll see if I actually get another document in the mail. My main frustration right now is getting my income tax transcript. I've moved so I can't request it online and they have yet to reply to the request from well over a month ago.. I sent in another one this week.

No, we were already approved back in July. Our NOA1 date was in early Feb.
I'm wondering why they sent another note saying they approved it today. I was also sent a notice that our file had left TSC and was on its way to the NVC on 8/16.
-
First NOA2 was July 9th and then a very long wait for our file to get shipped to NVC. I was told it was shipped in late August (and have verification). I just received a text from USCIS and this update (see below). I don't get it. Thoughts?
Post Decision ActivityOn September 3, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

It shipped! Got notified today, it was shipped Aug 16th. I did email Angela (her email was shared here before) and had an inquiry with USCIS. Not sure if any of those things helped. Thank God it has moved! Whew.

NOA2 on July 9th and nothing since. USCIS is supposed to get back to me by Aug 29th. It seems like others are still getting quick shipping to the NVC and their case #s.. but maybe they're just the few and they're posting about it? It is incredibly frustrating to get stuck at this stage. It's worse than being in the 2nd batch transferred to TSC.

I called DoS today and they suggested USCIS. I got to a tier 2 (they called me back, 107 min wait) and they gave me a tracking number. I should hear back on/before Aug 29th about where our file is located. I'm hoping that just having someone search will be enough of a kick in the pants.
-
DoS says they look at NVC's database. I just got off the phone with DoS (2 minute wait) and he was very polite. The downside is they still have no sign of our file approved July 9th. I guess it's time to try to deal with USCIS.

Still waiting here. NOA2 on July 9th @ TSC.

Single parenthood is very challenging. Be sure you get a good support system in place - not just your family - to help. La Leche League and other groups are great to visit during pregnancy to meet others.
I'm sorry this has happened to you. I'm also sorry it will tie you together with him for at least 18 years. Single parenthood with a lousy dad/ex is even more challenging.

Don't be surprised when NVC tells you to wait 8 weeks. NOA2 on July 9th and ours hasn't shipped yet. NVC quotes 8 week wait. DoS is unable to help. DoS suggested calling NVC again on Monday and then USCIS and contacting a senator.
I think the timeline should be updated to show that NVC is saying 8 weeks. It's maddening to hear over and over on here that it's a 1-2 week process when for quite a few of us it isn't.
-
Quite a few have, but there are a small minority of us waiting. Our NOA2 was July 9th. I am getting in touch with my senators on Monday.

I called DOS and they were extremely nice (no wait time) and said that my file does no show as received. She suggested I wait til the 12th to try NVC and see if they'll do an inquiry to see where it is located.
However, when she looked up my file it said it was "sent out on July 9th for post-decision activity" -- I'm assuming since this is the date of the NOA2 that is what it's referring to and *NOT* that it was really sent somewhere else. Anyone know?
When I called NVC they said to wait 8 weeks so I'm not hopeful that they'll be helpful. DOS did say that sometimes people's files get stuck at the bottom of a pile of boxes for months because new boxes get put on top of theirs. However, she said that NVC *should* be willing to do an inquiry when I call on the 12th.
It's honestly maddening to see others get shipped off within a week and ours sits for a month. It seems like THIS part should be as easy as first in, first out since they're just reshipping them, right?
Thanks,
Bridget

Well, you got your NOA2 a month after ours and ours still hasn't been shipped. Don't be surprised if you DO get through and they give you the "wait 8 weeks" line. Sorry
-
This is my huge fear with mine. Even though NVC says wait 8 weeks, it looks like the grand majority are shipped fast. I can't think of any reason why ours should be delayed since it seems like it's just a box goes from TSC to NVC. It's going to really stink to wait 8 weeks and then get told it was shipped incorrectly or not at all.
Is there a way to track times from TSC to NVC?
-
Still waiting. I was told 8 weeks.
-
They told me it'd likely be 8 weeks. Hopefully they are WAY overestimating. It just seems strange that cases around (and after) ours have already gone and ours is sitting. I don't get why they'd ship at different times from TSC.
-
Ours still hasn't shipped. NOA2 on July 9th.
-
Still waiting. I was also told 8 weeks.
-
No. We had a transfer and NOA2 on July 9th. I called NVC today and they said to expect 8 weeks.
-
I called earlier to get my case number. Our NOA2 was July 9th. The polite, but business-like, guy on the phone said to give them 8 weeks before expecting it. Hopefully he's just way overestimating in the desire to stop folks from calling.. but I've decided that for my sanity I won't check again til September. November will mark one year apart and I really hope we will be together again before that time. The silver lining to me is even if we're not, at least we'll have a day in mind by then!
-
I just called as well and they're saying 8 weeks. It's disappointing how random the timelines are.. I don't see why my case from TSC should take longer to ship than others that got their NOA2s at the same time. At least the hold time to get a live person was only around five minutes.
-
How did it work out?
-
I did mine like a timeline and also included flight numbers/dates/hotels, plus activities and what family members we met.
NVC says 8 weeks to receive petition?

It's just ####### because the darn thing EXPIRES. I know it's not supposed to be a major thing to get it extended, but there is a time limit on the NOA2. Ours expires in Nov and hopefully London doesn't take too long to schedule an interview after getting his medical.
