  1. Hi everyone,

My fiance set an appointment with CSC tomorrow in hopes of expediting our case. As the NOA2 is almost in our hands, I am getting anxious about the interview so I asked him to email me a copy of the entire package. Now my problem is, as I read through it I noticed that he got some of the dates wrong. My fiance is in the US Marines and has been moving a lot since we've met so I understand that he did not remember the dates exactly.

On his answer for question 18 on the 129F:

    1. He put there that we met on October 2011 on Myspace, when in fact it was on September 2011 and this was evidenced by the screenshot of the very first message that he sent me.

    2. He said that on his first visit to the Philippines he stayed until January 3,2012, but he stayed here only until January 1st, and this was also evidenced by the flight itinerary that he submitted.

If I am gonna be asked about this during the interview, would in matter that he made a mistake on the dates? would they take it against us that he didn't remember the exact dates? is this ground for my visa to get disapproved?

Does anybody here had the same experience?

  2. We are staying in prayer constantly...

I just received (Seconds ago) a response from the USCIS following me putting in a Service Request on the 9th of Jan and received the following...

    --------------------------------------------

The status of this service request is:

Thank you for your inquiry. We have updated your address in our system. You should receive a duplicate receipt notice within 30 days.

We are experiencing a longer processing period than what is currently reflected on our national website. Your I-129F, Petition for Alien fiancé, is pending review. We recognize your interest in a final determination on your pending petition. The California Service Center is committed to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to finish reviewing your case as soon as available under our resource constraints. If your Form I-129F remains pending 120 days or more from the date of this response, you may call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 to inquire further about the status of your pending petition.

    Thank you

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I was told the same thing. So I guess it's a standard reply they have. Last night I tried filing an e-request and it said that an inquiry was already made and i have to wait for 30 days until i can file an e-request again. so 120 days or 30 days I'd like to call after whichever is earlier. haha. I really hope we all hear from them soon coz all this waiting is so frustrating.

  3. Hey! I learned about this from someone else on VJ. To elaborate on what cazzers said,

    https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

If you already have an account, sign in. If not, sign up for one. Then, click on your receipt number and change the number by one going up or down. If this petition is the same kind as yours (K-1), then copy the receipt number, and go back to your portfolio. Click 'add a case to your portfolio'. Do this for all the cases you find until the next number you enter is a different type of petition. This is how I found my group. I hope that helps and that you receive you long awaited NOA2 soon!

    Emily

Wow! this is really helpful. I found my group but it doesn't look good. out of 13 cases only one has been approved on January 22. :( i hope whoever has our cases would start working on them now. :bonk:

  4. ..i'm sorry to hear that..we got ours few days before we hit the 6th mo.,we are july 17 filer.. I assume you guys already called for follow-up right?..

..i don't know if what i did helped.. i asked for an online update on the USCIS website and after a more than a week we got our NOA2..

...i also have read previously that there are people here who asked for service request by calling..and got their NOA2 after a week..i just don't know how they did it..

..waiting patiently is the best thing to do but i know it isn't easy.. hopefully you'll get the approval soon..

..try to find ways on how to enjoy each other more..that's what we did, it helps with the frustration of waiting.

lucky you! congrats! ours was filed July 17th on CSC. we filed a service request last Jan 3rd got a reply after 2 weeks asking us to wait 120 days more. **sigh :( i hope it wont take them that long. We have no RFEs so I don't know why its taking them too long to do their jobs. I feel sorry for those who filed earlier before us. Guess we all have no choice but to wait. :(

  5. Is there anyone from CSC who has been approved particularly the JULY filers??? Latest case approve was on Jan17th. All this waiting is getting really frustrating. So please update your timelines just so we know that CSC is making progress. thanks. :)

  6. dear u should ask this kind of question to your doctor to get an accurate answer. obviously most people here aren't medical professional

and to answer your question if you could take those shot in advance i doubt it. because u need to take those when u got here in the US..

    goodluck

Oh ok. Thanks. yeah I was really planning to see a doctor about this one. Coz the shots are required during the medical exam before the interview. I just wasnt sure if I can have it done before that and just have a medical certificate or something that would say that I already had those shots. :)

  7. Hi, quick question. My fiance and i would like to get pregnant right away. But as i was reading the requirements and guidelines of the vaccination, it says there that vaccines includes live vaccines which may cause birth defects/deformities when given to pregnant women or to child-bearing women who may become pregnant within four weeks from receipt of the said vaccines. So i am just wondering since the list of vaccines required is already given, can i just have those that i haven't had yet in advance? So by the time the visa gets approved, i wont have to wait to get pregnant?

  8. I was just wondering. maybe we could all do something to make them work faster on our cases. it seems like they've done nothing the whole december and they were just sitting on out cases giving us the run around. Maybe if we could all blow up their phones everyday then they would start working on the cases filed in July. I saw cases filed in August that were already approved by December, and if they are working on first come first serve basis then that just aint right! :bonk:

  9. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/355134-poverty-guideline-for-2012/

You will have to copy and paste, I don't know how to do a link. There is a link in the first post that shows income requirements. These will change soon for 2013.

    i got it. thanks a lot. :)

We are good. Now I can stop worrying about it.

Hoping to get our NOA2 soon. Good luck on your Visa Journey. :)

  10. Hello VJ member,

My fiance recently got denied for a k-1 visa because my income was too low. I did included a co-sponsor but Bangladesh consulate told us in the day of the interview that a co-sponsor for a k-1 visa was not accepted and that this was only validated for a I-130 petition. The officer also told my fiance to get marry with me and to filed the I-130 petition and that they were going to change my I-129f petition to a I-130 petition. But I am not even sure if this is possible or that means that we have to start all over? if any one has gone through a similar situation what did you guys did? feedback will really help on this situation.

Hi. I'm sorry to ask you this. i know its personal, but i just have to ask what u meant when u said your income was too low? did they tell you what should be your minimum income monthly or annually to get approved? i would really appreciate your reply to this coz im also worried about the same thing. please just send me personal message. thank you. :)

  11. yeah. so my fiance called USCIS again today and the lady gave him 2 email addresses, she said to set an appointment for a meeting, let them know about our situation that he is in the Marines and might get deployed soon. We really hope that speeds up the process. *fingerscrossed :clock:

  12. For whatever it's worth, we have issued two service requests (late December and early January) and have not heard anything back from them yet. Your above response appears to be generic one if you ask me. Note that we have an Immigration Lawyer and he issued the first service request; I issued the second on myself. If we hear something I will update you all. I really doubt that they will go too much long on the July Filers, especially another 120 days. Let's just keep our heads up and hope from sore more momentum soon at the CSC...

my fiance said he had made like 6 service requests already since September. haha. I guess the only thing that's gonna make them work on our case is if we keep calling them that way they will remember that they have work to do. I've seen cases filed in early August that has already been approved and it sucks coz they said they work on first come first serve basis. But its good to see some July cases being approved already. I just hope we don't have to wait 4 months more. Our NOA2 is coming soon I can feel it. *goodvibes good luck on yours too. :star:

  13. its very upsetting to find out that cases filed before ours have been already approved on December of last year. :crying: We filed the K1 on July 15 got the NOA1 through email a couple days later. However the hard copy of the NOA1 was returned by the post office. We called USCIS and they sent it again and it was received around 1st week of September. Up until now we haven't received our NOA2 yet. We filled a service request on Jan 3rd and heard from USCIS today asking us to wait for 120 days before calling them again to inquire on our case. It's really very frustrating for us coz my fiance might get deployed to Afghanistan next month, which i really pray not to happen. :( DOes anybody here have any suggestion on what we should do to somehow speed up the process of getting the NOA2???

  14. We filed our K1 application on July 15th. I think it was the 24th of July when we got the NOA1. It has been almost 6 months now and still no NOA2. Based from my readings on VJ the delay is caused by Obama's Dream ACT. It is really frustrating for me and my fiance to hear this news not to mention that he might get deployed to Afghanistan next month. We called USCIS on January 3rd and we just got a reply today saying :

"We are experiencing a longer processing period than what is currently reflected on our national website. Your I-129F, Petition for Alien fiancé, is pending review. We recognize your interest in a final determination on your pending petition. The California Service Center is committed to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to finish reviewing your case as soon as available under our resource constraints. If your Form I-129F remains pending 120 days or more from the date of this response, you may call the National Customer Service Center.."

meaning we need to wait 4 months more. Does anybody here knows anything that we can do to speed up the process? Please. We are willing to do everything just to be together soonest.
