Important Info for those wondering! Alright, so paranoid me called CBP in Houston (our POE), and I got through right away to an actual officer, which was nice, and he informed me that torn immigrant data sheets happen every now and then and it's fine, but it IS important because they stamp it with admission. He said to ensure my hubby brings it with him since it's now loose.
I also asked which line we stand in at customs and he informed me it was the visitors line. Good to know! NOW I CAN BE EXCITED!!!
YAYYY!! Welcome to the USA!!

Got to Atlanta last night and my husband surprised me with Champagne, flowers and a American flag, slept like a baby after the party!

I just want to report my husband's visa interview yesterday resulted in it being
APPROVED!!!!
woohoo!!! We are so excited and happy. We even got to have a relaxing afternoon at the beautiful white sand beaches in Barbados, so I would say that the day was pretty good! We already bought our tickets to go to the US for 26 August and are getting into planning mode to be ready in time. There is so much going on in my head right now that I even woke up at 5:30am with thoughts racing despite hoping to sleep in!
I haven't really been on visajourney since we came to Barbados for the medical last week, so I am guessing that I have missed much great news of visa approvals. I just want to wish all of those who have had recent visa approvals a huge

The interview exceeded our expectations, in that everyone was so friendly and were obviously trying to lighten our mood and relieve the stress. I have posted a full review of our medical and interview experience as a review for the Barbados embassy.
Now we are just waiting to have the visa in hand. The information sheet that we were given told us we should get the passport back in 7 days (sounds like heaven compared to the "30 days" message of NVC ). I forgot to ask about the system issues while at the interview, but the CO didn't mention any type of delay. I just emailed the embassy this morning to ask if there are currently any delays so should hear back from them today.
WOOHOO!

As my status is now 'READY' I'll email them again towards the end of the week and see what happens.

The only way to get in touch with the London Embassy is via their contact form. There's no way to re-schedule via phone.

Official CC email received today. Keeping fingers crossed!!!!

I just checked the CEAC site again and in the last few minutes my status has now changed to 'READY'! What timing!
I wonder if I should email them again now or wait a day or so before asking for an earlier interview?

visa changed to issued... wow that was fast

In-laws had their interview today and APPROVED!!! Finally this nightmare is coming to an end! The CEAC website is already showing as issued.. Yayy hopefully that means they can pick up soon.. They said none of the originals were returned???

Online Status changed from in Transit to ready Email to req earlier date send so let's see what Frankfurt got to offer

Personally, I would wait until it shows Ready. London isn't affected by the glitch anymore, so they are not experiencing any delays right now.
Don't worry about losing opportunities, my original interview date was scheduled on June 24th and we got the new interview date on July 17th :-) Good luck to you!!!

Congratulations, so happy for you! Mine it says Issued but a different message under. It says "Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than five (5) working days, please go to http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courrier_information to track your courier waybill." The same message since my interview

Everyone. inform your self .. watch youtube videos (that's how I filled out my AOS package because I followed step by step a video on youtube NO CHECK LIST ) and of course read and read saylin's wiki ..

Okay, he said they kept his pp and the intrvw was like tens mins. Five for four ques amd five to go and make a copy of an original paper. He would not take the copy my husband brought.
The ques:
1. Where does she live?
2. Where does she work and spell it please
3. When and where did you meet?
4. When did you first meet in person?
He said the workers were making jokes, saying that our case is the biggest they have ever seen. This is bc I had included 600 pages, (that were originally 900, before I stretched the margins), of our conversations up to the I-130 application submission. And when my husband tried to give them the additional 2,000 pages, they were like, um, no, no more papers. Lol. He said they were laughing about it though.
I think his comment about, we will know in two weeks, is his way of not jinxing it.
So, we wait until visa in-hand before telling family.

And you probably know there's really no preparing for Houston summers.. You just survive one and then repress the memories until the next one, and start it all over. Though she is Russian, so she is ready to be too hot for a change instead of too cold.

My case is complete, now eagerly waiting for 2nd round of interview scheduling.
