Thanks! Was it at Bentnick Mansion's?
Yep! I had to look that up because I was used to it being called Knightsbridge. lol. Sucks there's only 1 medical place for the entire UK!!

The next three weeks are going to be busy!
My medical is tomorrow, and it's 18 days now until our interview.
Excited and nervous at the same time. Sorry if I will be away for a bit from the thread.
Congrats on all approved visas, interview dates, and those who got case complete .
Good luck on your medical! If you get Dr. Cole, that's the same guy my hubs and bdrew's hubs got!

Welp, $165 paid and booked her ticket - Aug 31.
k.dlg - you'll have to post your IAH entry experience to see what kind of mood they're in working on Labor Day weekend.
Yesss!! She lands the day after us! Oh yeah, I definitely will. I'm still unsure what line we should stand in. I called Houston CBP at IAH and asked and they said Visitors, but after reading reviews on here of POE, some said they stood in Citizens line. Ah well, I guess I'll just ask the day of.

So 12 more hours to go till the interview getting nervous for real try to relax now while ironing....lol
EEK! Exciting!! You'll do great! So excited for all my Sept peeps crossing the finish line!

Haha def! It's always good just to be prepared just in case! You learn this very quickly going through USCIS and NVC.. Thankfully the interview is the scariest, but you make it through . That's so cute about the pictures. . London tends be usually quite nice. Never really see any issues with them. I'm so happy y'all finally get to be back together.. Woohoo! . Just two more weeks until your hubby's POE date!
Oh yeah, he was definitely nervous, but he was in and out within an hour. Yepp!! Thank you, and good luck to your hubs on his upcoming interview! I fly out next Friday and we'll be coming back together, toasting champagne on the flight back home.

I'm quite calm about it, beyond excited that it's FINALLY happening!! LOL! I was teasing my hubby because he tends to forget things . I'm the "over organized/prepared" one.
haha, we're the same way!! I was so OCD about these documents, and my hubs said that despite all the secondary evidence he took with him to the interview (that I suggested), none of it was needed as our case was already so pack full of stuff I had originally submitted. He said the consulate officer interviewing him was flipping through the pictures I sent and took one out and smiled and showed it to him saying she liked it. I was very proud of him getting everything organized on his end too! I think this process makes all of us stronger as couples since we had to work as a team!

Ah yes, you're right on that account! You'll also need a passport photo for your medical as well as any past medical history or immunizations.
Ack - also your interview letter!
-
I just found out I need a police certificate to do the medical in London, from the website. So I really need to get that done quickly. The rest of the documents are so easy to obtain that I think I will just drop the rest of the cash for peace of mind. I cannot believe how unprepared I am coming off right now. Documents documents documents...... I have no comment.
Thanks for your help.
Daniel

It seems like we make a major error every single no matter how much we read or anything, I feel completely blind with a blind partner. Everything I am doing is reactive.............. how am I getting away with this?
If they get the documents will I be alright, or do I absolutely need those copies regardless of anything? I know the process is very unforgiving.
To put your mind at ease .. my hubby had his interview August 4th and was approved - without any copies of original civil documents because they were submitted to the NVC. I believe we all sent copies of our civil documents already along with the originals, yes? This may just be a reminder to bring them in case you did not provide them already. Sure, it's better safe than sorry, but he wasn't asked for anything other than his passport, passport pictures, DS-260 confirmation, and courier instructions - that's it!

Guys.. we all need to chill. No need to start a discussion on whether people are trying to be rude or not..
Hey girl, just a suggestion, try to stick to newer topics, because this is an old thread from March and I've seen you do that in other old threads too. You're free to research and read old threads, but posting in them won't be helpful. Just a tip if you're new to the site!

I was on FM1960 (Cypress Creek Pkwy) By Willowbrook Mall looking up in jammed up traffic behind some stupid truck or something. And I was thinking of you also like "aren't they coming about now".
You were in my old stomping grounds! l grew up near 249 & 2920. I've never seen it back up at that time, but I swear sometimes that traffic on 249/1960 is worse than downtown during rush hour.
Thanks again for everything that you do, darlin!

Thanks, hon
I can't wait til the entire Sept crew is reunited with their spouses!

My hubby called twice this morning. First agent said they were done scheduling for September so hubby called back right away and spoke with Abby who said they ARE still scheduling, yes, but no date assigned yet for us.
We'll call again after 4pm. I am sooo anxious!
I've got my fingers crossed for you!!
Thanks for the advice. The rep I got was really mean. I felt like crying afterward.
Yeah, some of them are miserable bas*tards, and I'm sorry they made you feel that way, but don't give up hope just yet! Call as many times as you want until the night is over! Funnily enough, it was JOY who gave me our initial date, and that was my first interaction with her, so she's ok in my book!

I have checked from my phone only, on skyscanner and rj.com. I want a direct flight only. The connecting r cheaper but somt want him connecting. I will check from the computer tonight. The airports r amm to jfk. Would prefer amm to ewr but i dont think it is possible.
Yeah, connecting flights and one ways were way more expensive than direct for me when I looked - weird!!
Bdrew612 the weirdest thing happened when i went out for lunch today. It was 2:30pm I am sitting in this Houston heat at a traffic jam. I look up and I see British Airways plane coming in for landing (I am down the road from George Bush International). And it just welled up in me. Just thinking of you all coming home together well my heart was just overcome with joy. .... I know I a big old softie. hehe
Where were you that there's traffic at 2:30?! My dad says the 2:30 pm BA arrival always flys over their house and I said, that'll be me and hubby at the end of the month!!
dwheels Im from Houston too and I think you are a great person !
Yay, another Houstonian!!
You're our Mama Bear! :-)
I actually have a layover in Dallas tomorrow, flying Britiah Airways, too! Thank you so much for all your help, I'll still pop in here with my cray cray nonsense, don't you worry about that!
Too bad you aren't landing in Houston!! But, SAFE TRAVELS!!! I am so excited for you!!!
VISA IN HAND :D
Congrats!!!
I noticed my visa got annotation 212 (g) (2) B. What is this mean?
I posted about this on page 57!

Gotta check ticket prices tonight. Right before the Labor Day holiday seem crazy expensive. We shall see what is the 'magic' date. . (The song This Magic Moment, by Jay & The Americans just started going off in my head. Looool)
Really?? When I looked at Google Flights ages ago, the end of August was the cheapest ... for London anyway. Try googling "(Point A Airport) to (Point B Airport)" (ex. IAH to LHR) for your flight and look at the data trends to gauge the cheapest airlines and prices. Also, look on skyscanner.net!
-
I feel ya!! Wish i had that luxury!!!!
haha. Glad your visa journey is over too!! (Well, almost - still got POE!) lol
-
Ohhhhh. YAY!!! He asked me about that too!!! Thank you !!!! For the added info.
He asked me. What exactly is the I-551? I asked him to please check online and look for a pic bc i am at work and u able to check now. Speaking of which, how do u all stay on top of all these posts??? My connection here is terrible and i am nee here. So, the girl near my cube is always watching me when i grab my phone. Lunch time now.
No problem! I usually check VJ on a desktop! The mobile version is harder for me to navigate or reply on because I'm OCD and like my posts to be organized.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I was hoping they'd say citizens since I'd be traveling with him and we're considered a family, because I do NOT want to be waiting over a hour like he normally had to do on his own in the visitors line. Fingers crossed!
