  1. Koekoe, my documents arrived at NVC on April 10, and were not scanned into the system until April 15th. Looks like it takes 4-5 days. Try to call again tomorrow.

    Sukie

    thanks Sukie.

but i can't wait until tomorrow. i know i am too much crazy...

so called today again and one lady confirm that my parents iv packages are received as of today april 21st.

    so i have a question?

my AOS received on april 8.

my IV received on april 21.

so do i need to count 30 business day separately??

can you suggest me when should i call again to hear wonderful words Case complete by hoping no check lists.

thanks a lot for always answering my questions.

  4. Koekoe, I'm not sure any of us can say what NVC will do with this. I, myself, would have no problems with it, but unfortunately, it will probably depend upon the person who reviews your file. As far as your sending a letter with an explanation, that sounds like a good idea to me. But you might also wish to wait to see if the file gets through without any problems without your letter - but have the letter ready to send.

I do not think (my opinion only) it will be a problem at the Consulate in Myanmar, as the people there will have full understanding of your written language and how it is translated into Roman characters.

The only problem I see with sending a letter with your packet is that someone may then force you to get a "corrected" translation to match the birth certificate. But if you DON'T send a letter and they discover the discrepancy, then you would get a checklist.

Just to let you know - in my case, I was born in Germany, and I have always written the state of my birth as "Rheinland-Pfalz", which is, of course, the German. This is how I typed it into my AOS form. I found out that this is usually translated into English as "Rhineland-Palatinate". I'm not going to worry about it, as the person who is reviewing my file won't know the difference!!!!!

Best of luck to you and your parents.

    Sukie

    thanks Sukie

i really have no idea how to do......

i just want to cry hard .

    anyway

thanks for your reply and thinking hard for me.

  5. thanks you fro all of the answer about going back to country to accompany my parents.

    yes. my country is Myanmar.

they are some risk in my country to get visa . so i better go . but i will contact embassy first to get permission . thanks for the info about that too.

today i got civil doc from my parents.

my mom born in HMAWBY ( i believe you guys will not knows).

in her passport it said place of birth HMAWBY.

of course in birth certificate, it is in our native language.

so my mom got her lawyer to translate in english. and the lawyer( notary same in my country) spelled HMAWBI.

i don't have lawyer for my case and there are really really few people to know my language .

so i can't translate in here again

    unfortunately.

my mom can't translate again until next 2 week because we have our country new year and all the gov office including office close for 10 days.

so i am so depress that my case going to be delay because of that HMAWBI instead of HMAWBY.

so i am thinking i will send that wrong translation and making a statement that they both are the same city because we don't have standard english translation on our city name.

    would that be good?

    any idea please.

    sorry for long letter.

    thanks a millions.

  6. Some cases take up to 30 days to be received. I would bet it is sitting out on a loading dock and just hasn't been scanned in yet.

When TSC sent me the text saying the shipped my file.. I was very sceptical because it took 11 months for the USCIS to approve my case, but TSC did actually send it when they said they did and it was received only 11 days later. I think it all depends when you get approved and when they pack up the boxes to be shipped. I'm not sure if they ship files to NVC weekly, bi-weekly or if there even is a schedule. It will get there. Don't worry !! I know they ship them DHL. And the NVC receives mail all day long... so you can call 3 times a day and you might catch the file.

The day found out my file was received, I called in the early morning and it wasn't there yet. When I called back at lunch time it had been received. The next morning I had case numbers that were assigned the night before. Who knows.. maybe they work all night

    we have almost same timeline

i am waiting my parents civil document.

but i already sent my AOS package to NVC.

    :).

  7. no worries :) i did the same mistake like you by the way. I didnt include my middle name too. I called the NVC and asked the officer to unlock the form for me so i can edit and resubmit it but unfortunately, they cant do anything about it right now and was told that i could just do it at my interview. Just tell your daddy not to forget to inform the officer about the correction because if he did, that would cause a delay i guess.

i am planing to go down to my country while my parents do interview.

so not sure it will help if my parents got some problem that they can't explain well

so may be i can inform to the officer while he is doing interview to my parents.

    would that be good idea?

    any suggestion???

  8. same, i did some mistakes too on my ds-260. I was told by NVC officers and VJ Experts that i could correct it at my interview, just inform the consul officer about the correction. I also talked to some immigrants who experienced the same problem with us and they told me it wont cause any delay or denial and that i will be fine because its not a big deal at all. Just tell your daddy about the correction.

    thank you very much.

now i have words to tell my dady back.

    i am really appreciated.

  9. hello all

i made a mistake on ds 260 online form for my dady

i realized i made mistake when i filled out my mom form

my family have three words on name

    say ABC

last name is fine i wrote down C

but for given name i wrote down A only thinking that given name is first name

then i found out that i have to add middle name on the given name too

    what should do??

it gonna be delay in my process?

i don't know how to tell dady on it

i am so so sad. please help me if anyone know how to fix it or have that kind of experience and over come with it

    please reply me . thanks.

  10. Hi! We received the IV invoice email yesterday telling us to pay online, however, 24 hours later it is still not available? Does anyone know if this is normal or how long it could take to be available? Thanks!attachicon.gifimage_02.png

  11. hello

i got really confused!!!! please help.

    I

am filling out i864 for my parents approved i130.

in part 2 , i filled out my mom information.
    in part 3 question 1 , i checked YES.
so i need to check question2 because i my dady will come with my mom . his I130 is also approved. but it said do not included any relative listed on sperate visa petition.
    what should i do?
and if i don't check question 2 part 3, i got one person less on my household people.
me, my husband, my mom and i don't know how to add my dad.
i know i have to fill out another i864 for my dad too. so in my dad i864, should i write my mom info again on part 3 question 2? so i don't know how to count household member on each i864.hummmmmmm

    thanks
