  1. Don't send the copy of the NOA2, it is not needed for the interview and amounts to nothing more than a fluff piece. An interview would not be taking place had the petition not already been approved.

I already sent it, the reason I included it is because the K1 guide on this website said to include it. I would rather err on the side of caution with this, now lets see if she receives the packet in a timely manner :clock:

  2. Hi, I was curious if anyone who got their NOA2 have had their cases transferred to NVC yet. WSe got our approval on Nov. 12th and hardcopy on the 20th, but case hasn't been transferred yet and they're telling me on the phone could be 35 days. Hope it doesn't take that long but we're headed into holiday season. So I was wondering if anybody else is making progress?

Hello, mine did not take 35 days. When I called they said it will take 42 days, but it took about 16 days from my NOA2 date.

  3. I am sending this stuff to China for my fiance, she has not gotten a letter from Guangzhou yet but is there anything else I need to send besides these things:

Copy of K1 packet which includes all proof of relationship, copies of hotel receipts boarding passes, photos etc.

    Photos from our trips together

    Letter of intent to marry

    I-134 and all evidence

    Copy of NOA2

Some more recent QQ and phone logs

Is this all I need to send to her?

    Thank you

  4. Hello,

I just realized that the address I have for my fiancee's mailing address in China is incomplete, not enough for anything to be delivered. The case is ready at the consulate in Guangzhou, ready to schedule our interview, but she has not received her packet yet.

The complete address is on the place of residence, and on the address history section of the application. Is there any chance they would notice this and use this to get the entire mailing address?

I tried to call the consulate in Guangzhou like 10 times and it just sounds like someone hangs up the phone.

What do I need to do? What is the best number to call?

I am a little stressed out now...

    Thanks buddies

  5. I had the same things too. It means they will send the letter to the beneficiary soon. After recieved the letter, fill and send the DS-160. Then, you will recieve a email and ready to pay for interview fee.

Hello Ray, how is your application going? I know we have very similar timelines. Has your fiance received the letter yet?

I still am planning to add you on wechat, I just don't have a wechat account so I need to make one.

    Good luck friend

  6. oh wow ! you're already ''ready'' for interview !! it means that the US embassy has your file now ! you can go ahead and pay for your visa fees and submit the DS-160 if you didn't do that already and i think email them to schedule an interview !!

No way.. are you kidding me?? I WANT TO SCREAM! (but I am in my office so I will not)

I want to call China and wake up my fiance!!

    I AM SO EXCITED!! :content::content::content::content::content::content::dance::dance::dance:

  7. Hi, could you please tell me if your status on ceac has changed to ''in transit''?

Hi, I am not sure where to look, I went to CEAC and put my case number and this is what it said in the popup:

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

Is this what you were looking for?

What is next for me? Does this mean the consulate has our application?

Are they going to schedule the interview for me or can I pick the interview date? I am not sure what to do next...

  8. *** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves that phase. ***

    [Moderator hat off]

Read "Reviews: Embassy" and "Embassy Info" (links atop any VJ page) for possible insights about Guangzhou. In some consulates, lack of a ring might be questioned; in others, not.

You say "...for us to fly home together." It might well happen, and we all hope that it does, but never ever presume the granting of a visa.

Thank you, we will fly home together, I know for sure!
