  1. Good day! I have a friend who already got her K1 visa on hand together with her 2 daughters' K2 Visa. They only have a few more months to go before their visas expire. The question is, if she decided to go first to the US, leaving her 2 daughters to her parent's care at home and if the kids' visa got expired eventually, will there be a problem if she applies them a visa in the future? TIA

  2. does anybody knows a civil surgeon around California area who will give the shots only instead of doing a remedical exam? i had a sputum exam at slec and my medical condition is under B1 category. does that mean i will have another xray and sputum exam here if my xray turned out to be suspicious again? please help, i don't want to undergo a dreadful and stressing sputum exam again.cray5ol.gif

  3. Did you have to do the sputum test? If there was a TB issue you would have gotten treatment. If you had your vaccinations and the medical file has been sent to USEM don't worry about the stamp in the passport. Were there any notations on the 3025 regarding vaccinations? Your medical is good for 1 year, you do not have to do another medical for AOS - even thought some civil surgeons try to "blackmail" you into getting the physical before they will transcribe the 3025 to the I-693.

yes, i undergo sputum test and then , SLEC wrote B1 at the back of my passport. my friends who had sputum test had this remark on their passport so i guess all those that had sputum exam have it as well. when i had my initial medical, the doctor said i will have 4 vaccs but when i went at SLEC after my sputum exam, they only gave me a single shot which is anti-tetanus. i asked the nurse about it, she said that there are certain times when they give other shots. can't really understand their standard in giving vaccs. she said that i just have to follow up the other vaccs in the US. i was hoping that i'll just have to get the vaccs instead of doing another medical exam so that i can apply for my AOS after the wedding without spending extra money if it's unnecessary.

  4. hi. just want ask those that had sputum exam at SLEC and got B1 medical condition status written at the back of their passport, what did you do when you arrive to the US to before applying for AOS? i know that we have see a civil surgeon. do you have to undergo another medical exam such as X-Ray, physical exam and vaccination? would appreciate your replies. TIA

  5. Is cellphone number will do? My fiancee doesn't have a landline and he's not working right now so no landline from work

they will ask you to provide one land line number no matter what. i gave my fiance's land line at work since he doesn't have one at home, he only uses cellphone. try to get a land line number even if it's not from your fiance's work. CFO only wants a land line number in the US that they can put on your record at their office.

  6. had interview last Sept. 25, 2013, Wednesday, got ISSUED status the following day (Thursday), passport still on post (Friday), passport has been received by consular section and is now on process for delivery status on Monday morning and received a text message from 2GO MOA Monday afternoon. went today to pick up my visa pocket then got my sticker from CFO office.

this visa journey has been an amazing experience for me, i say i learned a lot from it. thank you VJers for all the infos you have given me throughout all this process. it was indeed a big help for me... be back for the AOS application soon.

  7. Thanks for sharing, sis. Can I know when did you attend the CFO seminar? I have been reading blogs and info about it for some time now, and they all indicated that the CFO online registration form is required there.

Yes, I have been aware that I need to know his mom's maiden name and give some land line number. The land line at work is a good suggestion. smile.png Thanks, sis!

i attended July 3, 2013. i registered online too but they never even asked about it, nor mentioned about registering online. everybody will be given some forms to fill up when you get inside the building. the form online is a lot different than the ones they give on the actual seminar. the actual forms has more personal questions about you and your fiance. i just got my sticker today (Oct. 1, 2013) and they required to fill up another form, this time, the form is more similar to the one online.

you can register online if you want to but you'll see on the day of interview that they won't even asked about the online registration.

  8. on my day of interview, they asked us to fill up some forms and never even asked for the registration online. there will be more questions on those form than the ones you fill up online. i don't think it's even important to register online since you will have to do it when you get there. just make sure you know your fiance's mother's maiden name and have a land line of fiance. since my fiance doesn't have land line at home, i gave his land line at work. good luck.

  9. Hello all,

    I need some help.

We had the medical done at St. Lukes.

X-Rays shows a "possible" spot. I think it is totaly wrong.

Now we have to go back to St. Lukes and do a Spetum Test.

My question is this. Do I cancel the interview appointment or does the hospital cancel the interview appointment?

By the way, my interview date of 10/28/13.

    Thanking you in advance.

you need to cancel your own appointment, either through online or by calling USEM. SLEC won't cancel it for you, what they do is rescheduling your interview appointment when your sputum text is done. good luck.

  10. i forgot to mention that your BC, NBI and Cenomar will also be asked by the Filipino Consul. so for clarifications, these are the docs that were asked from me by the Filipino Consul:

    >Passport

    > Visa Payment receipt

    >Birth certificate

    >NBI

    >Cenomar

    >ITR 2012

    >W2 2012

    >Employment letter

hmmm i think that's allgood.gif again good luck!!

  11. i had my interview yesterday 9-25-2013. i checked my visa status at CEAC this morning around 11AM and it was under AP status. after less than an hour, i checked again and says ISSUED (Sept. 26, 2013). i also checked my passport and it says STILL AT POST. i am happy that the visa got issued already but was just wondering if it is normal for USEM to process a visa so quick? i mean, it's like 24hrs after my interview, it was issued already??????

  12. Congratulations! Just a quick question.

On the (DS-156 form) Spouse questions, they ask you to put N/A on the Spouse name but want you to put your fiance's date of birth on Spouse DOB? This is the only part I'm confused/curious about tongue.png

if you are single, put N/A but you cannot put N/A on the spouse DOB since it will require you to put numbers only. after you printed out the form, you can hand written N/A on that Spouse DOB. no problem if you answered the forms handwritten, computerized or mixed. just an additional info, on item# 39 of ds 156, if you answer NO, you should put your name & address on item# 40, "relationship to applicant" can be blank or put N/A. signed it and put a date.

  13. Congrats! It must be intimading to be interviewed at window 65. But you've made it!

which Window did you went with? the American Consul at Window 65 looks so serious, not even smiling at all and asked a lot of questions. even my friend who got interviewed by him after me, she was telling me that that CO asked a lot of questions. not unlike the other Co ( a lady and a Filipino) where my friends got interviewed, it was real quick. they weren't even asked to show anything.

  14. "My friend's fiancee was interviewed today and the American counselor kept asking why did they meet through her brother-in-law. Her brother-in law is her fiancees brother."

    >>> i got confused with this. does that mean that her brother-in-law and her fiance are brothers? which means she has a sister who is married to her fiance's brother?

when i was asked by the American Consul how i met my fiance, i told him that we were introduced by my sister-in-law's sister who happens to be my fiance's best friend. i think the Consul got a little confused lol so he made me say it again.

i hope your friend's fiance will get through with this, USEM might give her a rough time but as long as she can give them proofs that her relationship with the USC isn't a fraud, she will make it.

  15. i had my interview on that same day. i say i've seen some applicant's who were called to Window 72, i can't really tell what were their cases. but what i observed was some were given back their passport with a yellow paper (i don't know what's written on it). i even heard a case where USEM was asking for a DNA test for an applicant and her petitioner (mother & daughter), an applicant who was asked to go back to NSO for some name problems. as with the K1's, most of those that had problems were asked to show additional evidences of income. i don't have any idea on how USEM follows their step of processing a visa, but what i heard clearly from the guy at Window 72 when he talks with these k1 applicant who needs to show additional proof of income, "you need to submit additional income since the one you presented isn't enough to process the petition. if i am going to show this to the American Consul, most likely, you will get denied for being a Public Charge in the US".

another case i saw, one K1 applicant was asked to have another interview (don't know if this is your friend's K1). not sure what went wrong to her interview with the American Consul but when my friend (another K1) asked her, she said that she got nervous. She was called at Window 70 and was given some answering sheets before she will have another interview. on her answering sheets, i saw some questions (i mean it's a lot of questions like more or less 30 items) like write the names of the fiance's brothers/sisters, if they have an engagement ring, what was engraved on it? and more questions. i really feel bad for her, it's all so stressing. i don't know what happened next, we were done and were going out of the building, (almost everybody were done) when we heard her name called again.

  16. Great review, and pretty much how it went for us today. We thankfully were approved in 2 short minutes by the American consular, and kissed in front of the waiting audience lol. So you may know who we are. Congratulations. smile.png

i saw some K1 with their USC on the interview day, but couldn't really tell which couple you were guys. however, i noticed a couple where the USC was asked by the American Consul to have a seat while the K1 applicant was being interviewed. I didn't see if the USC was interviewed as well after that.

    Congrats also!!!

by the way, i forgot to mention that the Visa Payment receipt was also asked by the Filipino Consul together with the Passport, ITR 212 with W2 and USC's Employment letter. make sure that the passport was taken also, i saw a girl from my batch who was wondering why her passport wasn't taken by the Filipino Consul, she later found out on Window 72 that the Consul forgot to take her passport lol..
