My fiancé was admitted on k1 but I don't see a I-94 paper she brought from the immigration officer. Is it all electronic now? Where would I find a copy of it so I can use it towards applying for AOS?
Thanks for the help!

I must say that I didn't use any attorney. All the info I found on VJ guidelines was accurate and complete.

We are approved! It took us 322 days from applying then to interview, but anyways it's finally over with a good outcome!
Casa embassy was nice on the day and didn't give any hard-time. Questions asked were very basic and only few.
I acknowledge that this website is a great place to get all the information you need to apply for the k1 visa. Big thanks to VJ staff and all those friends who helped us in any way!
Good luck to you all!

3-4 years to become citizen after green card I believe. Does I-134 has bindings similar to 864?

Mine is at casa since 7/24/13. No response yet. Did you get any answers or response so far?

Did you not see any red flags before or in this marriage? Would you like to share those with other VJ members? I am sorry to hear your situation, which is tragic, but it's important that you share your experience in detail, so people like these be weeded out in time. Thanks

Our case was approved on 6/24/13 in its 7th month, transferred to Casablanca on 7/24/13, but we haven't heard anything yet. I know some people have been called for visa interviews but we are in our 10th month since we applied, and it's just getting more & more frustrating.
Are there any more folks waiting? I tried to call and email embassy multiple times but they didn't respond.

Thanks to all replies.
I called today but it didn't go thru despite trying for 2 hours. In email automated reply they specifically instructed not to resend email as they got the first one. It's just frustrating.

Our case was sent to them by NVC on 7/24/13, but we haven't heard from them yet. I heard that that embassies are pretty quick to start the process after case has been received, but what's causing the delay here, we don't know. What we should be doing at this time besides emailing and calling Casa embassy? I am adviser that they are the one who send the interview letter out and it can't be setup on line.
Thanks in advance!

Is it true for a K1 fiancée visa too?
-
Thanks!
@Simo-Britt. Did you at least get the interview letter? How far was that out?

Our NVC case number is issued and case has been routed to Casablanca, Morocco, approx. a week ago. Can we go online and self schedule an interview date or is it something embassy will schedule and notify us in mail?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks guys! It's getting on my nerves now.

We haven't heard anything yet and we are in 7th month now of waiting.

I am 12/7 transferee to TSC and no news yet, while I see cases been approved from even much later dates. I am very happy for them and wish them all success in their interview process, but we are so frustrated and disappointed. We thought there is a line but apparently not. These approved cases are not the expedited ones. My fiancé is from Morocco and someone suggested that there might be profiling in exercise, but I don't want to believe in that. Can anyone suggest what to do or how to file a service request? I asked USCIS tier 1 and he said 6 mo is "average time" and we won't be allowed a service request until its 8 months old at least. We are in our 7th month now. Thanks in advance folks

Congrats!
We are 12/7 NOA1 and were transferred back to TSC on 5/24-29, but no news yet. It's very frustrating

12/5 NOA1: My case is also transferred back to TX from VSC. I called TX and they guy told me that it could take up to 2 more months since they are processing 10/25/12 cases. It doesn't make sense. I think he is wrong. My fiancé and I feel so down now. I am reading other comments and hoping that he is wrong.

But Texas Dallas office is huge and I wouldn't call it "your local office". I think they are more referring to the smaller local offices. Anyways I am not sure. I am holding my heart in my hands anticipating to hear within next few days!

I am 12/7 NOA1. My case was transferred out of VSC on 5/24, stating that's its transferee to another office. Today on 5/29 I received another notification stating that my case is now transferred to "your" local office.
I am assuming its a small local office we have here which do not do big stuff in usual circumstances.
I hope it's a good thing. Have anybody else received the same notification?
On May 29, 2013, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

My NOA1 is 12/7 and I got the same email at 9 am on 5/24. I originally applied to TX and it was transferred to VSC. Not sure how many more days it may take now.

Ok. Hawaii is a great choice for us. Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem and she will not need an advanced payroll.
If anyone has a different opinion or experience, please share with us.

The more I am learning from comments of you all, the more I am thinking to restrict ourselves to the mainland or may be Hawaii. Off course, we are not trying to cook a trouble for ourselves. Even Hawaii sounds like a risk now.
Thanks again!
K1- name change after marriage
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

My fiancé was admitted on k1. She kept her maiden name on the marriage license. Now we are ready to apply for AOS, but with her new last name. Is it too late or can still be done? Her passport from her home country is offcourse in her maiden name. I plan to apply for SSN in her new last name.
Any help will be deeply appreciated!
