  1. After nine long years, my hubby finally has his visa!!!!!! Praise Jesus!!! Thank you, Soloenta, for all of your time that you have put into this forum. When I read that you were starting this forum, I RAN from the NVC Filer's forum to your forum because I knew that you were such a compassionate person and had a genuine concern for each member. Once again, thank you for all of your help! I continually pray that you will be reunited with your hubby soon. Peace and blessings!

  2. Giving up after only just filing last June ? Seriously ? It took us 5 years from meeting to finally being together. We were in AP for 16 months

and then our case was denied and returned. We filed again and were approved. It was a rough journey. If you can't handle your delay for 6 months then

yes it is better to quit now. Not sure why you even started in the first place with that 'giving up' attitude.....perhaps it was not a real love but a fling because

true love endures all, especially a few months or year of waiting.

Just shaking my head at the instant microwave expectations when it comes to some people's visa journeys.

Reality check....yours is not a nightmare but the normal procedure, come on, one months of waiting after the interview ?! :bonk:

It's been 10 years since we met and we are still not together in the States....

  3. Not necessarily. DNA testing takes about 2 months time. When they get results you are called in and given results and told when and where to go pick up Visa.

The interview was already done they don't ask for DNA unless you have been approved. You just are pending DNA results. Hang in there almost there.

Thank you, dwheels76! I have been crying like baby at my desk for over an hour! I can now wipe my tears and continue with my day! God bless you!

  4. Hello all! Here is an update of my case: The U.S. Embassy of Senegal requested DDC to email the DNA results on 3/3/15. I just checked the CEAC site and it stated that my case was updated today, 3/9/15, but I am still in Administrative Processing. Does this mean that they are going to request more information/documentation/proof from us? Should I give the Embassy a little more time? I am soooooooooo tired; I'm just tired. Please help. Thanks.

  5. OMG WHAT IDIOTS, why do they employ these morons in the first place if they are good for nothing. Did you talk to a supervisor, was this fixed OMG they could drive a saint to murder. Really enough is enough someone needs to fix this travesty! t2615.gif This is just ridiculous kurby2.gifCan't wait to see this has been fixed! t5063.gif

The worst part is that they scheduled my hubby's appointment for 2/23/15!!! Why does it take a month to do this?!? This is so frustrating! I did contact my local congresswoman's office and I will hopefully hear back from them this week with what the Embassy will do...

  6. Hello everyone! I just wanted to update you all on my current situation. The DNA package arrive to the US Embassy Dakar on 1/15/16. I received an email today stating that the DNA Center sent them the wrong test!!! I called the DNA center and they told me that they sent the correct test to them. The Embassy told them that they should have received a test for three people...why would they need it when they are fully aware that my hubby is the only one that lives in Senegal and we live in the USA?!?!? Some things I will never understand!

  8. Sorry just saw this.

WOW. No you can't fight it. It happens all the time. The reason they are asking because they are questioning the validity of your relationship. In a word they want to know Is he the father.

I have seen this recently. I have had 3 friends who had to go through it so it happens. Get it done soon as possible. It's going to take about 2 months to get done and results back to embassy.

If you just want to get this over and done with just comply. Choose one of the AABB labs in your area. Once done. Then they will contact him he will go to embassy and take a swab also. They will send that to the lab. They will run the test and once they get the results they will call him in and give him the results. Visa given.

I am so sorry this is happening to you (remember delayed not Denied). If you need any help or guidance what lab let me know

Thank you so much, DWheels! I will get it done A.S.A.P.!

  9. Hello all! My hubby had his interview on December 18, 2014. They told him at the interview that he will receive his visa once he provides phone records and complete his vaccinations. :clock:

Today he submitted the requested documents to the Embassy. He was then told that our family will need to take a $600 DNA test to prove that we are the parents of our daughter. :wow::cry:

I was 5.5 months pregnant when I left Senegal. Our daughter has been with me ever since. Why is this happening? I have looked on this website to find a similar situation; I've had no luck. :ranting:

Do I have a good chance at fighting this? What should I do? Any advice would be helpful. :help:

Also, today would be a great day for some encouragement...I am really overwhelmed and feel like this will never end...

    Peace and blessings.

  11. Good afternoon! My hubby's interview is 12/18/14! :dancing: I am sending his interview package to him on Thursday. I have two questions:

    1. Should I send original photos or colored photocopies of photos as proof of our relationship?

    2. Is it better to send an email document of interview package to hubby for him to print out, or should I send it to him via DHL?

I am at work and just thought of these questions, and have been unsuccessful in my google search. Any KIND and RESPECTFUL response would be greatly appreciated...thank you!

  12. 40 days since my husband's interview. Still in AP. I've emailed the embassy twice asking for an update since they originally told us they would be in contact within 1 to 4 weeks, but they have not responded to either email. This is seriously killing me.

They are really bad about responding to emails. I always email twice a week and in the subject line I type SECOND REQUEST along with my hubby's case number. That usually gets their attention...
