  1. Their tracking sucks, as does their entire site. That message just means it's in transit to the selected return location.

My wife's passport took an additional 2 weeks to really be delivered. I suggest calling every few days to confirm it's really there before making a trip there.

  2. Nicely done! You got lucky as well. :) As long as you paid the fee it'll populate appointments as they're released.

Truly atrocious software that the site uses. I've never seen anything like this, and I work in IT! They really need to redesign it and base it on when you paid the fee for who sees the appointments first. First come first serve is total bs!

  3. Sorry, I didn't realize VJ doesn't allow you to search through users posts easily. It only goes back a few months on my profile from what I can tell.

    Here's the original post: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/437043-scheduling-the-interview-using-cgi-stanley/

Here's a post from last year that might have more current information: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/580325-scheduling-visa-interview-no-dates-or-a-calendar-guangzhou/

Good luck! I envision many sleepless nights for you to schedule. I don't think I slept for more than a few hours every night for a good week while waiting for more slots to be released!

  4. Unbelievable that this problem is still happening! The system is so ridiculous! :ranting: We had this same problem THREE years ago trying to schedule for my now wife! If you check my post history I detailed exactly what I did to get an appointment.

  5. As others have said, you need to include leases/mortgages. What about Wills or medical powers of attorneys? What about life or similar insurance? What about car payment history if it's jointly owned or joint car title?

The items 4th from last and the last 2 are secondary evidence, they don't show any financial co-mingling primary evidence. It's OK to include but doesn't help your filing.

If you add what I suggested you will have what we had when we filed last year and had no problems, 6 months later got 10 year. Good luck! :)

  6. Very true. It was stuck in AP for 5 weeks before finally being issued only after I got my congressperson involved!

My now Wife just went through this process. For the Visa to be printed, stamped into the Passport, and mailed directly to her home (we paid extra to have it mailed to her house) in Northern China (山西省朔州市) it took 5 days.

Everyone's time will be different. Even if you are told you are approved, you can still get stuck in AP for some time while they finalize everything. Please make sure you check the status of your Visa on the GUZ website. When it says issued you can expect to receive it anywhere within 3-10 days from that point.

  7. FWIW, we were married at the county clerk's office here and received 5 certified copies immediately after the ceremony. We had a great reception the following day and the ceremony was just family and close friends. You might want to look into doing it at the county clerk/recorder's office to get the certified certificate as fast as possible.

  8. Fully agree with this. Never use USPS. They "lost" our I-129f paperwork and then magically found it after 2 weeks and was delivered.

Do not use U.S. Postal Service! They lost one of my immigration packages and didn't even apologize - just offered a refund. I will NEVER use USPS again. Go with FedEx.

The USPS is a bloated, inefficient government agency staffed with lazy, disgruntled workers. People with important packages use FedEx, United Parcel Service, DHL, etc. There's a reason why the business world uses private. Your package is important - use FedEx. (Must send to physical address, not P.O. Box).

    Signed,

    A former user of USPS

  9. This is correct. As of 5/2014 when my wife interviewed she just showed up in the morning and picked up the results in a sealed envelope after lunch.

Please note, the Health Care Center of Guangdong International Travel does not accept appointments for IV Medical exams, my Wife called and spoke with numerous people, and even inquired about making an appointment online. They explicitly told her that she needs to arrive and wait in line, that for these exams they do not offer appointments. The appointments are reserved for NIV applicants. IV applicants need to arrive and walk in.

Even on their appointment scheduling website the Exam selection is limited to (Student, Worker, Visitor, Tourist).

  10. Pictures are secondary evidence anyways, not primary. :)

The wife and I got married at the county recorder's office and was able to get several certified copies of the marriage certificate right after the ceremony. I doubt anyone who is married elsewhere in the county would have been able to get copies the same day! Made for an easy AOS, submitted everything the following weekend. We just got ROC approved so it wasn't an issue. Best of luck!

  11. I took screenshots on my iPhone for proof years ago. I did 1 screenshot for every 2 weeks and it wasn't an issue.

However, like others have said, if you have kinds of proof you're more than likely just fine with that and you don't need to worry about chat logs. Plane tickets, cards, emails, etc are more than sufficient.

  12. Highly recommend tax transcripts instead of returns. These prove that you actually did file taxes since they're from the IRS.

You can order them here, coming in the mail in about a week.

    https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

Also, you don't have any life insurance showing each other as beneficiary? What about investments showing eachother as beneficiary? Financial co-mingling is key for ROC. If you're willing to risk investments/property/etc it makes the relationship look more bona fide in the eyes of USCIS.

    Good luck!
