  1. Good afternoon everybody

i am just about to submit my citizenship paperwork- yay for me!!!!- I am doing it under the 3 year married to a USC even though I am close to 5 years living here - just a bit slow getting around to it.

okay question is can you submit a mixture of tax transcripts and tax accountant records?  My husband and I did joint tax returns for three years and this last year we filed married but filed individual.

Can somebody please help me with the answer to this question?

  2. My husband is the American, we moved here from Australia August 2013 after living in Australia for 16 years, we left my daughter with the intention of her coming over at a later date. My husband has been her stepfather since she was 13 and she is 26 now he has been in her life since she was 10 years old. She has since gotten married and they would both like to move over her with us. My husband can support her and if we need a co-sponsor we have that also. Is this possible?

  3. Hi,

I am not sure what section this goes into but my friend want to travel here to USA to visit us. She had a red light camera offence 14 years ago that she never received and it went to a warrant but it never went to court. She remember that she should have gotten the ticket so she went to the police station herself and they said yes there is a warrant here. So she paid it on the spot.

Now my question is - would she count this as a criminal offence? It is only a traffic violation nothing ever went to court? She asked the police if she should put this down on her ESTA and they said oh yes... Well she got denied straight away. We told her that it is only a traffic offence and it wouldn't matter.

What should she have done... She is going to try and do ESTA again but wants opinions on what she should have said. Please answer so we can get this moving.

  4. We were asked that question - to prove domicile for my husband (USC) and he still had a US bank account and his social security statements went to his cousins address and the last thing we did was to contact a real estate agent in the area you are choosing to live and get them to send you an email that she/he is looking for a property for you... We attached that email to the paperwork and we got approved.

We have been living in Australia for 14 years and we got approved.

  5. Hi, my husband (USC) and I lived in Australia when we applied for my I-130. Once we went through the process we had to prove that we had $75k approx to get my visa approved. Now that amount could be in assets (not cash just assets)....eg the pending sale of our house. Once we could prove that we got my visa within 10 days. Our visa journey took 10 months but that was after a couple of Request of more information. We did. Not need a sponsor with reaching the amount of money we needed

We have been married for 12 years so my visa was a IR-1

And no we stayed together the whole visa journey...

  6. Hi DavidR,

I came to the USA. On the 31st of July and they told me 3-4 months for my green card. Anyway it has now been nearly 4 weeks and I received my welcome letter yesterday and I received my receipt to say that I have paid my Immigration Visa fee. So I should have it within 4 weeks.

You are working I wouldn't stress too much...they should have stamped your passport when you came into the country.

  7. Hi,

I hope you can help. Back in April I was granted my IR-1visa and my husband and I had planned to move to the USA by the end of May. So I followed the link that came with my approval email to pay my $165 immigration visa and the link took me to Pay.Gov. All went through well and I have the confirmation email to say they had received it and it was confirmed. The money also came out of my bank.

Now we got delayed leaving Australia and didn't leave until the end of July. So I was just surfing the visa journey website and I have noticed people paying their immigration visa money of $165 to USCIS ELIS website.... Was I given the wrong information or has other people paid their money for their immigration visa to this website?

Please help me. This is driving me crazy, have I wasted $165 and will I have to pay the money again.

  8. Hey Tammy, yes time does seem to drag on but it is worth it. I am just moving to Texas. We are in Hawaii for a short holiday before we start our new life. We are luckier than most we lived our life together in Australia anyway, so this is just a different place to continue our life. We just moved from Brisbane.
