I have been in AP for almost 7 months now and can feel how painful this AP is, BTW how did you find out that your case in Naples and not Washington? I may try as well.

my 7th month of AP starts today! Althought am not from Morocco I guess being a muslim male is the major thing behind this AP of mine.

I hope we all get out of AP sooner rather than later.

the message on the main page can be different but as long as it says you are under AP the difference of the message does not mean anything!

Any way wax update ah ma jiraan?

It can be changed according to my experience, you just need to email NVC and provide the reasons why your fiance cannot attend his interview in Kenya.

How often do you see the change on the "Status Updated Date"?

What does the change mean?

It seems every time you call DOS 1 202 663 1225, there is likely a change on the "Status Updated Date". Does it occur to you in the past?

Whenever they respond to an inquiry either email or telephonic one they will update the status updated date, so in that case I guess it means nothing but when they update for their own then they must have been working on it, but you never know what kind of work they are doing on it but at least they are looking at it.

Mine has been updated twice in April (8th and 15th) without me sending an inquiry.

wow, that's great! I thought the website will only say Visa Issued only after they have the passport and stamped the visa on it!

when my husband was in AP we were told to check the status online and contact them when the status changed, which we did. They did not contact us first.

I had had my interview on 5th Feb 2013 at US embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the interviewing officer said while your case looks strong you are still being put in AP

so am out of Ethiopia now and my phone is off, do you guys think since my phone is out of service the embassy will email me when the AP is over????

i was told during the interview that the embassy will CALL me when the AP is done,

I would like to go to my home country while waiting their response.

Should I ask them to contact me via email when the AP is done since the phone number will be out of Network?

if your fiance lived in kenya only for his/her life you guys will only need to apply Cerficiate of Good Conduct from CID headquarters in Muthaiga... If he/she lived in another country for more than six months then thats when the rule comes into play.

as Jagira said, it looks like your visa will be issued soon, I have seen many cases that changed from AP to Ready then from Ready to AP before it finally changed to Issued!!

anyboday out of AP after having their status updated date changes in every few days?

you are right, whenever they make inquiry about the applicant they update their website, similarly whenever they respond to the applicant's telephonic or email inquiry they update their website...........i am wondering whats the point of updating if the status remains unchanged!!

For all of those that are in AP in Naples US Consulate in Italy.. share you experiences and time lines!

I'm an Italian born citizen married us citizen in US. Been put in AP for God knows what reason... been in AP since Feb 27th '13. CO told me to wait 2-8 weeks then they will call back.

Never trust these people, I was told that I'll receive a call within a month am already in AP 40 days

I agree. Mine changed after I spoke to 2 of my congressmen and asked them to inquire about my case, the date changed from November 5, 2012 to March 12, 2013. Its ridiculous.

And the other thing I noticed is whenever they respond to my emails they update it.....
