This happened to my husband and i when we did ours too. Two days after while going through it my husband noticed the mistake and i took it to them for correction and was charged N8,000 at Ikeja Registry. Its better to get it corrected so u dont have any issues in the future.

We have been approved omg!!! I'm still in shock how smooth this went!!! Oh pple stop making this look so hard cos it's not!!! But I must admit d scary part is waiting for ur no to be called! Oh my husband and I are overjoyed! Without God it wudnt have bn possible.Thanx VJ family for all ur prayers and help...we love y'all!!!!!Il put up the questions I was asked in my timeline later on.GOODLUCK to those going for their interview soon and be confident! I will go straight to the point. I was still waiting for my number to flashed but a young CO only beckoned me to come... Right then I greeted her and she responded and gave me the ds 230 part 2 to sign... She made me pledge to tell the truth and I did... Then the next thing she did was returned the original of our marriage cert., and my birth cert original with sworn affidavit and 8 of those pics we sent with the i 130... She then began thus:

CO: who's filing for you?

ME: my dear wife

CO: how did you meet your wife?

ME: on a social site

CO: where?

ME: I answered

CO: why did you decide to look for your wife on a social site?

ME: I answered.

CO: are there no beautiful girls in Nigeria?

ME: I answered

CO: do you love your wife

ME: I answered

CO: was your wife married before?

ME: I answered affirmatively!

CO: does she have children?

ME: Yes.

CO: how old are they?

ME: I answered

CO: have you been married before

ME: I answered.

CO: do the kids live with your wife?

ME: I answered

CO: do you have kids?

Me: I answered!

CO: do you plan to have kids together?

ME: Yes!

CO: you do?

ME: I answered

CO: how old are you?

ME: I answered

CO: how old is your wife?

ME: I answered

CO: typing, pull out a slip, u've been approved! Go to the address (she just encircled a particular address on the slip of A4 paper with a pen) on this date or any day after that date to pick up your passport with your visa.

I recommend front loading your petition/application the very best way possible... It only assist the decision makers make a decision before you ever appear before your interview... After you have done all you could, pray and let God. Also prepared for any possible question that might be asked.

While I was waiting I heard a CO denied a guy and told him that his petition will be returned to the office that approved it originally for review for possible revocation. That was horrible! The other guy was asked to get a joint sponsor. The waiting time for your number to be called can be hard to wait, but wait it out anyway! At the end you'll find success in Jesus name, amen!

U made no mistake, i have seen someone on here who was approved without frontloading. believe that all things shall work together for your good. Frontloading is fine but doesn't guarantee a visa, God's mercy and favour does, u can read the reviews on this site and u will know that God's turns things around for our good and those things u actually put ur mind to may not be asked for. I wish u the best.

ErinO, you'll be surprise how easy your interview will be especially if you did frontload your petition/application during uscis/nvc stage... That way, you have helped your interviewer to get the real picture of you and your SO in true love perspective... My interview lasted for barely 3 mins with very simple questions followed by approval-all glory be to God... Yours will be approved also in Jesus name, amen!

Yes go there on the 26th as instructed. It's just a pickup and it's at Lekki not Walter Carrington so it shud be ready as u were told to come on d said date. Congrats!! Pls y'all shud put me in ur prayers my interview is in 2days... Whewwwwwww

Hi VJ family, Please did u write your case number on the upper right hand corner of your original documents when sending it to the NVC with the DS230 form? and if u did what did u use, a pen or pencil. I am kind of worried about using pen to write my case number on my original documents.

I am so sorry about dat. Please take heart, i truly understand how u feel. Do not

give up yet untill u have received the letter u said they sent in the mail. It maybe something u can work out. I would also advise that u and your spouse be very very prayerful. God turns situation around, he has not disappointed me thru the stages of this processing, its been tough but if u hold unto Him in prayers, He will make all things work together for your good. If your husband is only using his own income than I864ez is ok and if he is using support from other members in the family then I864 is required.

Hi VJ Family, how are u all doing? My husband and i just finished having a hot argument over this, lol, but we have settled it, with him assuring me that evrything is going on well. I would just like to know your views about this as well to help my hubby and i be on the right track. Is filling and sending the I-864ez form at the NVC stage the same as filling the I-864 form? are they both acceptable at the NVC because my husband told me he mailed in the I-864ez form and i was saying to him that he was supposed to fill out the I-864 form not the previous.Pls help us and thank u.

I don't know what could have gone wrong dear Kay Kay, but i would advise dat u calm down, take a deep breathe and pray about it. I have realized this process always need God's Intervention too. Don't give up, it will come through.

You cannot use the same Barcode sheet that you used for the AOS. You must use the barcode sheet you received when you paid the IV fee.

Thanks Velrich, i will ask my hubby to go check the payment portal where he made payment becos he said he didn't wait for it to read "paid" after making payment.I hope it will still be possible to find the barcode and print from there considering the fact that he didn't do so immediately after he paid. Thanks once again.

You just need from every country not city. So one is all u need to submit.

Thanks Dwheels and sorry but i have a quick question for u, i am filling out my ds 230 form now and was told by a VJ member here that i will need to use a different barcode cover sheet for submission of this the ds 230 form, that is to say i am not supposed to use the same barcode that i used for submission of the AOS form for the DS 230 form, is this true?

You need just one.Hmmm you can go to the Nigeria police force in ALAGBON(Lagos state)I got mine for 6000naira.

Because i know i can always rely on u all, i want to know if i will need to get two police certificates for the two different cities(that is, two different states but in the same country) i have lived in since the age of 16years old. To print the IV (DS-230) cover sheet to send with the packet, login to https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx.

Click on "Select" next to the row for IV.

Scroll down to view a button to print the document coversheet for DS-230.

Send all supporting documents along with the cover sheet and filled DS-230 form.

Okay, but is the AOS barcode different from the IV barcode? Thanks for the links but the second one is not showing anything, i guess the page may have been taken off.

Just make sure you print out the bar code that should be the first page of your pkt!
