  3. Well, progress!

    My fiance got her medical back on March 12th. The embassy contacted her to ask if they approved her visa quickly, could she travel before it expired on September 12th. Of COURSE she said YES, YES, YES, 1000x YES.

    So, then it gets weird. If you think that the process at the embassy is infallible, then I have some news for you. During her interview, they skipped a couple of steps that must be taken now. For instance, they didn't collect her appointment letter, and they didn't have her do the oath. So, they asked her to sign and date the appointment letter, and send it to them via 2Go, and to stop by the embassy to take the oath.

    And, since it's us, we have problems. She did as they asked, and ran to the local 2Go center to send it off to them. Well, apparently, the 2Go central office in Tacloban is having a meltdown or something, and they are unable to process anything through there at this time. So, the route for the package will have to be Abuyog->Ormoc->Cebu->Manila, and will take *5 business days*. How about no? Does no work for you? *sigh* So, I'm going to book her a ticket to Manila for Sunday, and she'll go to the embassy Monday morning, and do all the stuff that has to be done. They told her that it would take them 2 days to print the visa, but she should be able to pick it up at MOA on the 10th. (And get to the CFO for the sticker), and fly out on the 11th. THAT makes me nervous, but what can you do?

    So, it sounds like we're in the homestretch, but as always, nothing is ever easy.

    wow!! sprint in hurdle game..... congrats!!!

  4. Im planning to have do an early medical on my CR1 visa. Just want to ask what do i need to bring on my medical in St. Luke's. :rolleyes:

    we did early medical too. print out letter from NVC stating case number and visa category. dont forget to bring your passport, online appointment.and 2pcs. 2x2 picture. if you have a vaccination record, bring it too....

  5. Yeah, my husband called last 2 weeks ago, and the lady that she talked to told him to call again after another 2 weeks, she said it's for final decision, but as we checked the status, the updated dates don't change. How many weeks have been under AP? :)

    2 weeks in AP. they rcvd our NSO august 13, forward to CO by 14th and visa issued on 20th.

    im calling 3012000 local 5184 or 5185.

  6. Do you have any update on your case? I had my interview july 11 and they requested for a cenomar which I did in NSO PASAY, they had the document july 22 , then updated dates were july 24, and july 30.. But until now Im still under AP. :(

    our visa was already issued aug. 20 and was delivered aug. 26.

    have you tried calling the embassy? i think you better follow up.

  7. Congratulations. 1953.gif What a relief this must mean to you. Safe travels.

    i dont know how to describe the feeling but i sooooo love it!!!!!!!

    btw, i called embassy today, august 20, and found out our visa was printed 1953.gif :thumbs:

    lady told me 2go pickup is on monday, embassy is open but not sure if 2go courier will pick it up, icalled 2go and sadly, they wont pick up on monday.....

    still happy tho :dance: :dance: :dance:

  8. OK thank you......I quoted anothers response before I saw yours.

    I am on top of everything EXCEPT the Catholic church being involved and their sponsored seminars.

    That I have yet to sort that out, or get a confirmed answer one way or the other.

    a few years back when were applying for a marriage license , only the city health officer gave uns seminar on family planning. civil weddidng was here in manila tho, idk with regards to cebu. but common sense, your only doin a civil ceremony so there shouldnt be church involve. anyways, if thats they want, maybe you should attend, coz they won't give you ur license to marry if you don't complete their requirements...

  9. Hello, I'm making this thread on behalf of my husband. He's confused about some points in the I-864 form and so am I.

    Namely,

    -part 3 item 7;
    I am immigrating alone and no other person is listed in that whole section (only 'x' in the 3.1. for me, obv), so we should list '1' there, in the end? Just checking. thats correct
    -part 5 item 1;
    (this is connected to the previous question) put "1" on 5.1
    -part 5 item 8;
    So, if my SO lives alone (number of household members being ONE) and I'm coming to live with him, so then the household size should come up to TWO. right? But we had to check 5.3. as I AM his spouse, and adding up all those numbers comes up to 3, which is wrong and counterintuitive. I'm so lost. Being both the intended immigrant and a wife puts me in two boxes at once. Should we uncheck something? u put "0" on 5.3 u dont count anyone twice. / 5.8 household size "2"
    -part 6 item 6.c;
    It says List the income you are using. We're separated be an ocean, he's not using anything. Should we even fill this out at all?
    About current income, I just started a new job and my income varies (the specifics of the job), so how should I list the income beforehand? Also, we don't have 'yearly income' thing in Ukraine and adding up my salaries by month puts me, like, below poverty line as I'm swimming in astonishing 1500 dollars a year (different prices and such). And I don't pay taxes yet! So I can't file them. put n/a (in all blank)
    -part 6, item 11/ item 12;
    I have filled I-864a, but did I have to? I am the intending immigrant, so we should just check 6.12? But we received a letter saying I haven't filed I-864a, which I haven't seen in my whole life before that point. dont check any
    - part 7
    Do I even need to fill this out? It says optional, but also refers to a i-864a form, which I'm not sure I even have to fill out. if your spouse is only using his income you don't need to fill this out, just put n/a
    I'm sorry if this is confusing - just goes to show how lost am I.
    I'll be forever indebted to anyone and everyone who will shine some light on this mystery of a form.

    hope this help...

  10. i think you should wait a bit more. some (like in marikina) is only valid for 3months. i dont know with other cities/municipalities.

    NBI tho is good for a year. so if ever she still don't have it, better file it now.

  11. O-M-G!!! I actually fell off my seat. Called the NVC and got the dreaded JOY, and let me tell you, she was LOVELY!!! I'm not joking, she is by far the most helpful person I've spoken to so far.

    I explained that everything has been accepted apart from 1 minor error on the AOS which I resubmitted and was received on July 9th. I asked if given the current delay's to processing times and the backlogs if it would be possible to take the amended form straight into the Consulate interview, thus helping them with processing times and getting my case back on track. She explained that sometimes for something minor, they do what's known as Pre-Approval where they just send everything on once the interview is scheduled without necessarily reviewing the checklisted document, but it's not something which can be instigated, it's up to the reviewing officer if they want to do that.

    She was extremely pleasant, friendly voice tones and told me to have a great day at the end of the call. Is there by any chance two Joy's working there? Maybe because I was her first call of the day (it was 7am and I wasn on hold for all of 15 seconds and got through on the first attempt) she hadn't been put into her usual grumpy mood yet. Or maybe all those complaints about her have paid off and she's finally realizing that friendly service equals friendly customers.

    this was exactly happened to us. the CC us but issued the same exact checklist we responded to... but were still thankful coz were done with the "30 day review". when we had our interview, the CO just asked for the documents , scanned it, put a tick on the boxes and were done...

  12. :ranting: Oh jesusssssssssssssssssssssssss. I am so fed up lol I AM HOPING that I can put N/A if not then I will just send this ####### again, so sick of it. I didn't file taxes in 2011. I did in 2012 and 2013.

    I am definitely going to end up with a head full of gray hair soon.

    Someone please clarify ASAP. :cry:

    we got checklist twice for our AOS, 1st correction was sent to NVC, husband got it wrong again, NVC CC us , issued a checklist and was told to BRING IT AT EMBASSY on onterview.

    don't worry much....
