My husband is five years older than me other then that I don't think there are any red flags, our paper work upto interview date went very smoothly yet unfortunately at the interview he was told about new co sponsor. My first sponsor was my uncle he met the income requirements but I guess he had reached his limit of people he had already helped in the previous years... We were able to find new co sponsor within 15 days from interview. On Oct. 31 2012 I was told it was approved however since then we have been in AP. They requested new docs this year first Ds230 with medical and then after 40 days they called him and requested Ds260 we were suddenly so hopeful however since then our case has been slowing down again. That is my story.

Happy New Year Everyone! Inshallah I hope this is a new beginning for approvals for all the cases who have waited in AP. May Allah shower his blessings and mercy on all the couples and families separated due to AP. Today marks 14 months of AP for my husband, last update was Dec 19.

Hi, just email embassy about the status of your case, they will let you know what you need to submit... Inshallah good luck hope new years brings you 2 togather. We submitted our fresh docs in Nov and still no news even though they update our case.

NO, this is not normar, you need to get your congressman involved.

same thing happened to me 3 years ago, my husbands petition was approved but they never forwarded the application to National visa center. they kept saying oh your application is at this or that office, after 6 months of running back and fourth to different offices, i finally decided to go to my congress mans office. then the staff from congressman's office figured that my application was lost, so they asked for a new application, and transferred the case to NVC over night.

Hi Austin Guy, Is your father in AP? If he is I think its a really good signal of a approval coming your way soon because they don't usually ask for fingerprints, and another member who was asked for fingerprints got his visa right away. Best of Luck!

My husband is in the same situation. We got a call on Nov 24th and they said they were ready to make a decision they just needed 2 passport size photos and DS260 immediately ... our case updated on Dec 3,4,5 and then stopped on the ninth. Wish you best of luck I hope Dec marks the end of your Journey.

Hi brother,

They requested it from me last week by calling me. they also requested 2 photos, a trip to American express was necessary for me because of that ... The confirmation page says the form DS 260 has reached the interview location, however IDK if sending the confirmation is a requirement. Its is wise to keep it for your records, your form should already be in the computer system. I am still waiting on a update on my case its been 5 days....

ds260 is same like ds230 or diffrent?

Ds 260 is the same except it has more questions then Ds230, however its the same kind of stuff yet its processed electronically. Soccer.Player did they request Ds230 from you recently? and are they now requesting Ds260?... That is what happened with me.

I meant yesterday Nov 25th... they requested DS260 and two months ago they requested Ds230 from me with photos.

two months ago the embassy requested new Ds 230 medical and pixs today they called and asked for DS 260 and two new 2X2 photos... Embassy is weird, My wife emailed them twice and they gave same reply about all documents that were updated two months ago are fine. on Nov 19 they told us to stop emailing and to refer to the previews email.. lol and then on Nov 25 they gave me a call today and also updated our date.

I was interviewed in August 2012 and my case started to update on September 5th 2013 till September 12th 2013. Since then there has been np update!

When did they ask you to submit the passport? or was it with them all this time?

Mine was 10/01/2012 and we submitted our docs two weeks prior to Oct 2013, they did many updates around that time however now there is no movement.

Bro dont worry about it. I think you are near ur Issue date. As long as all ur docs are up to date...My cousins was the same status after being in AP for 2 years. His status was "expiring soon for about a week then it changed to to AP for 1 day and it was issued on Nov 14th.

I am so happy to see 2012 case approvals whom have been facing long AP. Congrats to all the September 2012 interviewers on their visa issue news. Now everyone please continue to pray for the rest of us. My case has been in AP for 1 year and 1 month and 20 days. ISB EM used to update my case however I haven't seen any recent updates. A friend of mine got visa issued on 12 of November. His case creation date was Sept. 2009, his case went from AP to Expiring soon, and then back to AP for 1 day and It was issued yesterday poor guy has waited total of 8 years because his wife was a GC holder, and his case was denied because he was deported from US back in 2004. His case is hope for many of us, his oldest son lived 9 years of his life without his father, We need to pray to Allah to make this wait easy for us.

my friend got approved on 10-11-13 after 10 months of AP. Be hopeful guys even though on visa journey it might seem like long AP cases are not being approved its not true, We are just few of the cases embassy has there so many other people dealing with same issue who never post on visa journey. any updates on your visa issuance?..its been more then 4 months now after submitting fresh docs on my case

was asked for new docs two weeks ago and submitted them last week. Case was updated on Oct 8. Yet still in AP. Hope to see aprovals of cases who submitted new docs and have been in AP for over a Year and longer Inshallah.

You are really close to getting a petition aproval letter, just hang in there. it takes about 4 to 5 1/2 months. Mine was submited on 1/30/2012 and it was aproved on 6/03/2012.
