  1. I called the NVC this week and my case is now complete. I looked at the visa bulletin but dont see any thing for US citizen sponsoring foreign spouse. I asked the NVC they wouldnt' tell me. So now I have no idea when the interview date would be.

    I just want to know a rough estimate when that would be. It's not too much to ask, is it? I'm not asking for an exact date, i'm just asking for a rough estimate.

    My priority date is March 20 2012.

  2. I got an email today from NVC requesting my wife to submit this document, "JUSTICE OF RECORD CHECK #2". Has anyone received the similar request? I looked on the NVC website(civil documents) and dont see them mentioned anything about this document.

    ______JUSTICE OF RECORD CHECK #2 (VIETNAM):________________________

    For Vietnamese residents, non-Vietnamese residents, and foreigners currently residing in Vietnam:

    Requests for a "Justice of Record Check #2" (Phieu Ly Lich Tu Phap So 2) must be made at the

    Department of Justice office located in the district where the applicant currently resides, or at the

    applicant's official residence. The official residence is registered in the "household registry" (Ho Khau)

    issued by the district police. The processing fee to request this document is 200.000VND per applicant,

    and the record check takes approximately 10 working days to complete. The applicant cannot grant

    authority tom someone else to request the "Justice Record Check" on his/her behalf.

    The applicant should be prepared to present (2) sets of the following documents at the time of the

    request:

    1. Completed application form (Form 03/TT-LLTP.) Please check the box in Justice Record #2;

    2. Applicant's National Identification Card or passport;

    3. Proof of residence location and length of time the applicant has resided in Vietnam, such as the

    househopld registry book (Ho Khan), the temporary residence registry book, the permanent residence

    card or a residence certification from the local People's Committee.

  3. Hey everyone, I need your advice please.

    I paid $2000 upfront for this immigration office to do the sponsoring from A-Z.

    The paper had been approved and forwarded to NVC. The immigration office received the letter from NVC on August 3 to make a payment(AOS and IV). They didn't for 2 months. After 6 phone calls from me last week, they finally made the payment last Friday. That's two months late.

    So I'm in the process of getting my money back from them. Not the whole $2000 but only whatever paperwork they haven't done.

    So I went to the NVC website and the status said, "PAID"

    now what do I do next? I have no idea what I need to do next. I read the online forums but there are so much info that I'm lost.

    what documents do i need to send to the NVC now?

    thanks.
