How long did it take τ̅☺ get my passport/visa in Lagos GSS document collection center? I did my interview in 10/12/12, and my flight is booked on 24th of Dec and I need τ̅☺ know if I can get my visa before then and the consular office told me τ̅☺ go and receieve my visa on 19th Dec and when I check the status of my passport it is telling me that no status updated available yet ... I really need τ̅☺ know when and can I get it before my flight date????

Hello Vj i am here again.. I GOT APPROVED TODAY AND I am here to know what i will need to take along to pick my visa up at the Gcc document collection... i was only given a printed A4 paper for me to pick up my visa at the address on the letter and the heading of the letter is the collection of an issued immigration visa.. So can you tell me all i need to go get my visa or i will just go with the letter only.. thanks for your help and support

There is nothing so hard about this interview and those CO are human.. all they ask of you is confident and talk to them like you are expressing yourself on how you feel about your man/woman.. and what you really know about her.. it a simple case.. if you really want her and love her and as well want to be with her.. you should have know one thing or the other about her and why you want to before making your decision to be with her... confident and straight answer to it ... the embassy is not hard the way you think or the way ppl thinks... ppl get the denied bcos they cant get their fact straight.. and upon everything just give your very best and leave everything to God ... GOD IS GREAT TODAY FOR ME AND I AM HAPPY FOR THAT

According to the consulate website, you don't. Only two DS-156 and 1 DS-156K but do not sign.

i am filling out the D230 form right now .. and i fill it out to the stage where it was write that dont write in this line.. the consular office will assist you in filling it.. i want to ask is that .. is it okay to fill it to that part and leave it to the instruction there.. or i wont even fill the part ii of it at all..???

I wish τ̅☺ know what how I can fill out the DS156 .. Will it be fill online at the us embassy site or I will download the forms and fill it manually on PDF file.. I have been trying τ̅☺ gather some thing up but I will like τ̅☺ know since my case is already it way τ̅☺ lagos if not in lagos.. Should I apply for the DS 156 online now or did I wake for the packet 3 bcos the packet 3 is found already in the us embassy in lagos online .. Because this is Lagos they may think you are already married deny and tell you to go and get married. Hopefully they will let you explain I doubt it or they may not even care. Just be ready. They may ask did u have traditional wedding, did ur fiance' pay a dowry all kinds of things. So be ready for why you are calling each other this.

I know with Nigerian men it really is normal my husband was calling me wife and wifey long before we were married.

What about the name for the emails.. that it really matters what name you use for emails...

You do have phone records right? They seem to like the most at Lagos. The rest of stuff is great you will be fine. No worried. It's well.

I havent got that yet and my fiancee is trying to get that from her phone company.. and she told me it hard to get it since she is not subcribing with their phone company anymore.. but she will get then bcos she told me she has some with her as well...

On the age difference one thing i have read and seen is long as your evidence shows a genuine relationship you should be dine. However be prepared for questions that may or may not come up. Be prepared for "why you married someone so much older than you", "Can she still have children" yes they may ask.

As to the affidavits its more important to use from your fiance's side since they have seen you both together in person. A letter from his mom saying she approved and even addresses your age difference can speak volumes. i know my mum in law wrote a really beautiful story I am 21 years older than my husband same age as his mother. I lived with him in his mothers house 6 1/2 months that takes care of my red flag.

Thanks so much and like i said before.. i already have three letters from my fiancee family,and friends in the us.. but just want to do mine incase since my parent are not in the pics that i am presenting for the proof of our relationship... i have the emails, skype, yahoo messenger, even little whatapp text,photos together when she is in Nigeria,facebook chat... as a proof of relationship.. will that be enough for the evidence of our bonifade relationship?

I think that's about 14 years apart right? Well, as far as I am concern love has nothing to do with age for real... But in this immigration process I would advice that you get all the nececssary preparation needed to convince the CO that age is not a barrier to your relationship. I learn from the forum here that the best way you can demostrate this is face time visit together while every other evidences counts as well. The CO are human as well.. and i will prove to them that love is not age bcos age is just a number.. and i am up and ready for the task when i face the CO bcos God has giving me the strenght and it confidence... just waiting for my interview date as i am preparing my document already

it doesn't hurt to include the notarized letter, but like the other poster said it has to be signed in front of the notary agent(not only court house) google notary agent in your area. My Mom did one for me, not sure of it made any difference on our approval, but I had one to include in the package my Fiance took for his interview. Good Luck

I have three notizaried letter already from my fiancee side from her friends, niece and will that be enough .. bcos i was thinking that is only from my fiancee side only...

Notarized isn't asked for required but you say you already have the letters. It's too late for them to be notarized. You would have yo redo the letters and they sign the letters in-front of the notary. Or have they not be signed yet?

If you want them notarized go to courthouse I guess ask around ask that person the letter is from to come with and sign. But again not necessary. The pictures mean more.

thanks for that.. but i need to know bcos the pictures i have here .. my parent didnt show there .... i just have the pics of me, my fiancee, my sister and my uncle... and i dont know if that will be enough and the reason i want to do the notarized letters in case the consulate ask me, if my parent are aware .. i will just show them the letter to answer that question... and again .. we this ages barrier be a problem when i am 28 and my wife is 42??..

Please my case is on it way to NVC and i will like to know if any fee is required for process with the NVC, i am talking about th K1.. please is there any fee that will be required from the NVC from it.. thanks for your support and informative
