Zoe&Chris got a reaction from Nich-Nick in Feeling anxious and worried.
I would think that the DS2001 would not result in a CEAC update - as long as the updates were made for the packet 3 and the medical then I think that is OK. That is because the DS2001 only tells them you arr ready - there is no information on it that they will use to "update" your case.
If it was signed for I am sure they have it - and it can take up to a month to get an interview date. I would think you would hear something really soon. For me it was 21 days - you are now at about that so you may hear this week but I know that people have said that appointments are given out in sets so deoending on the time of month it might take you a little longer. I also think they are happy with your forms as they have logged them and I think if they had a problem they would have let you know. Anyway, as Nich-Nik has said before, I dont think anyone actualy looks them over until your interview - never seen a case where someone was asked to ectify a forms mistake, they would just tell you at interview.
The offical word from DOS has usually been that it can take 6 weeks so you are well within that processing time. I know it is hard but try to be patient... I think you have done everything right and you are so close now. If you do need to call someone I have always found DOS much nicer and easier and cheaper to deal with although I know you have not found this to be the case so far! I think though this is just bcause you are just in the waiting line for an interview so there is no more info to give you.
Also, with the petition expiry, I think that usually if it runs out because they are slow issuing appointments, then its OK. (Although I'll let someone more experienced confirm this!) You might want to get a new, notarised, letter of intent from your fiance though as I have heard this can be requested in cases where the petition is expired before interview - so thay have evidence that they are still willing to marry you!
I hope you wil hear something this week!

I'm at 46 in total so far... some of them are infuriating! I think this will kill a little of the 8 long days until I fly

Zoe&Chris got a reaction from ZC117 in London 2012- K1s from NOA2 to interview thread
Yeah, that page hasn't been updated in a while, so I wouldn't use that address. (Nich-Nick, how do we get someone to update that page?)
Ok so the phone numbers we're talking about are two different things:
The number you quoted is correct for contacting the embassy in the UK. This helps fo some things, like paying the fee and trying to reshcedule an interview. However, I never tried them at this stage as people on this forum thread report they say they cannot tell you wether the forms are received or not until the interview is scheduled.
However, when the London embassy puts something in their electronic system, this is part of the US Department of State (DOS) also (as are all embassys I assume). You can call them directly in the States on the number I quoted - they're not specifically for London but if you give them you case number they will look on their system. You said you saw your status was "ready" so I assume you have already checked the CEAC tracker - this is also part of DOS.
I saw my status updated date change on the CEAC tracker, so I called this DOS number I mentioned and lo and behold, they informed me that both my forms and the medical had been received. As this is a different service to the embassy number, it costs different (less) too. Feel free to ring both, but from what I've read the DOS may give you more luck at this stage. You will have to ring the other number when you pay the fee, of course, but I have yet to do that. The DOS people have been really friendly every time too, and I've called them 6 times now
