  1. I just got back from Morocco and they scheduled his interview for May 28th, trying to make a decision if i should go back. I know they do not let you enter with them at Casablanca but am interested to know how many people sent in their passports in with their spouse and were asked into the interview or were able to intervene with favorable out come? A lil back ground we are 6 years into this, our fiance visa was denied I guess i feel a little guilty , for not being there for the first interview and now just leaving want to do whats best at this point. Our two year old son misses hid dad and my husband is beside himself anxious to be here for his boy and me. thank you

  2. Fees paid! Just wanted to let people know what I found out on a thread here about submitting tax forms, I did not claim my husband on my taxes this past year as I did not think it was relevant, but read that you could be denied based on that and found fraudulent so I am now going through the process to amend my 2013 taxes. For any of you still waiting and this pertains to you I would get on it as I am realizing I may have put our case back a month or so to deal with this, better safe than sorry. Keep your eyes on the prize people each day brings us closer to our loved ones.

  3. This step is hella confusing, it says the person immigrating do I have to collect this stuff and send with the finacials or is this stuff my husband takes to his interveiw NVC step 6 ??? seriously when i read the instructions in this sight I always get confused ?????? http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

  4. So I have a question, the Joint sponsorship thing really confuses me. I for sure know I need a joint sponsor as I do not make enough for a family of 4 +1 my husband (the beneficiary). So when we have a joint sponsor are they needing to have enough income for their family ? my husband ? and my family? or just my huband and their family? we have an outpouring of support but want to make sure we do not waste peoples time with this tedious paper work.

  5. Axs, get this we were denied our fiance visa due processing time that means we already went through rigorous paper work, all of this that we are doing again and that was approved with in 3 months but our marriage application is going on 10 months in back ground checks currently, non of this process makes sense and the more sense I try to make of it makes me sooo nervous, better to just step back and wait for the beauracratic bs to do its thing I guess.

  6. Just got off the phone with tier 2 and how discouraging that was, the agent I spoke with in tier 1 said oh you should know something by now and sent me to tier 2 after a hour long hold, an agent informed me that yes the website says 5 /6 month processing times but he is not seeing any less than 8/9 month processing times unless there is special circumstances I called b/s and said sir there are many people getting approvals and why would uscis mislead the applicants by stating 5 month processing times. ughhhhh at this point it is better to be suprised by mail I will let my congress person know my experience and not much else I can do but wait he said specifically it was for security checks I told him I just finished the fiance visa application process to be denied shouldn't they have my security checks readily available insha Allah his alleged 8/9 month processing time turns into 6 at this point.

  7. I know someone else has posted about receiving this response from uscis, any ideas if this is an approval ???? I am a Dec 4th filer

"On June 2, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance."

  8. I am just writing to make people aware of this fraud and his lack of service for those in this community I am not the only victim as I found out later, but was eager to some assitance as most of us are and am thankful to this forum for the free help it offers so beware of Robert Mercer @ http://www.myk1visa.com he has changed this site frequently erased facebook pages, avoids phone calls to those whom he has frauded but will be willing to give you his pay pal info to send him money I did all of my paper work alone and would have loved to have saved myself $225 in not dealing with this crook, And I am one of the lucky ones others are in the hole nearly $1000 dollars lesson learned!! I just do not want to see honest trusting hard working people let this man make money on your back so pass it along I was referred to him and she to was frauded and as he has a so called " money back guarantee" um but I dealt with him Nov 2011 and have seen nothing or had any contact as I have been relentless ok ya'll I just wanted to keep it real as why I come to this forum thanks !

"Victorious sect" is a reference to at least several Hadith. I wish Sofiyya was here to explain it more completely and professionally. But to the best of my knowledge, it basically says that Muslims should stick to their faith and obey the requirements of their religion until Judgment Day, no matter who tries to fight them, because they will be victorious in the end. It long predates any groups who have may have hijacked the phrase to try to give their unGodly behaviors some kind of religious justification.

Thanks for dropping knowledge as I am learning more everyday and I am sure when my fiance reads the post he would educate me to this as well that was my feeling of its meaning but did not have evidence of that to argue our friend James on that issue Alhamdu Allah for ilm.

  10. None of your comments were at all helpful, just judgmental. First you accuse her of being aligned with a terrorist group then you suggest her fiance is only after a green card? COME ON. I was the one who gave her the FOIA request info, which was actually helpful to her. I was not being warm and fuzzy in the least. DHS and CBP interview and debrief me every time I come back from visiting my fiance in his country - so what?? I am not doing anything wrong and have nothing to hide and they are just doing their jobs, by their own admission. She's never going to know why they came to her door. DHS will say their investigations are classified and not divulge. She can only do a FOIA request to try to glean info from consular officer notes from her fiance's interview. That's all.

For your information just because a terrorist group uses a religious phrase for their name or own benefit doesn't mean the Arabic phrase in and of itself is nefarious. For example: Ansar al-Dine means in Arabic "helpers of the religion". It has religious meaning long before some North African militants decided to co-opt it. You are out of your element posting here. While this is America and you are free to be as ignorant and bigoted as you want, people are equally free to call you out on said ignorance and bigotry.

:) you answered the question that has been bouncing around my head this past week to request the report he took down to assure the information was consistent with what was said during the interview, yea the whole guilty for wearing a scarf on your head stuff has got to stop with all due respect to those doing their job, there is no race, nationality or religion synonymous with the term terrorism.

asking someone outright if they are aligned with a group or if they know a name is associated with a group instead of insinuating, like it is a common knowledge, as I do not align myself with any groups , I am for my rights as a human being with free will and thought and anything that does not align with that I question.

It's like calling someone a crackhead for driving down the street where crack is sold

  11. Not hating on anybody! You posted asking if anyone else had a visit from DHS and I responded about what some people might think could be a red flag. If you didn't want opinions on why you might have had this visit I am not sure why you posted. I do think it would be wise to find out all you can on why they chose you for this visit as well as why your K1 didn't go through. Getting married does not guarantee that they will issue a visa later and if there is anything that needs clearing up you should do it now rather than after another denial! And uncomfortable as it might be, it is probably smart to go on here like you have and invite comments like you did. Everyone else that just reassures you and says everything is fine might make you feel warm and fuzzy but it is not helpful to your case to be lured into a false sense of complacency! If everything was OK you would not be having the problems you have encountered. It is important to figure out what those problems are so they can be fixed. Sorry I upset you and your friends here, I mean no harm, was just trying to point out what might be off-putting to the folks who have to try and prevent harm to american citizens.

I am a realest myself, and welcome constructive criticism key word being constructive, I clearly welcomed your previous comments until you took it to far, it was myopic when I am seeking solutions and insight imagine yourself going through the same thing and what would play out in your mind I did not see many talking about this and thought it would be helpful as we are looking for others insight if they too have been in this similar situation. I am not interested in ego stroking, and feel most everyone has been helpful even yourself up to a point. I am getting married for all the right reasons, visa or not :luv: Taking heed to helpful advice, I mean when this happens one wants to know what it all means and if you know there are never clear answers from any of the departments it becomes a confusion hence forums like these. You give yourself much credit, no one is upset a majority just prefer to respect others individual situations. I have found the responses to be educational not warm and fuzzy :D can you please help me to understand how this comment "And his family becoming victorious depends on him getting a USC to sponsor him on a K1 visa? " was insightful or helpful and what solutions can be made from this? I welcomed the visit by DHS to have a chance for my side to be heard remember I am too a American Citizen ;)

Small minds can not comprehend big spirits

To be great, you have to be mocked, hated and misunderstood.

    Stay strong!

  12. I have seen 1 or 2 cases over the years be re-affirmed after being sent back to the states from the consulate. Most people are not contacted, some receive a notice that the application has expired, some one just posted recently (I think destiny64) that she sent a letter to withdraw the application about 1.5yrs ago as they decided to marry and file CR-1, and she just received the letter acknowledging the withdrawal. I think filing the FOIA will be beneficial to your up-coming CR-1 case. And as capri said, you have nothing to hide.

Best of Luck and Congratulations on your marriage!

In my case I received the expired letter that is why the visit surprised me, I informed the officers of my intentions and up and coming trip to marry he kept asking me what my plans were if it were denied, I refused to acknowledge that as why would I plan for our demise strange question and of course one does with life the best they can this process is a day at a time riiight?!?! All good advice you have offered Thank you!
