  1. Hey all VJ members on this long journey. :JJ

Just curious has anyone had to do DNA in Jamaica? I’m just trying to get an idea of the cost.

My husband is listed on his daughter’s birth certificate. I’m just jumping ahead to see what the process could be like if they ask.

I recently submitted the I130 for her and him. I know we have while to go before we even get to that part.

    I’m just thinking ahead.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

  2. My fiancé lives in Hanover. We are having trouble getting internet connection.

It’s very hard to just talk on the phone everyday. I’m confused as to what to do.

We talk like 6 times a day but sometimes it hard to be on the phone I’m working 9-5 and I’m in front of a computer.

He says it’s hard to get an internet connection where he lives.

Maybe someone knows something he does not know.

I suggested a modem as it was suggested to me. He said that it would not work????

  3. I just married in Maypen Jamaica this year and we did it through the Registrar General's Department. This is where you file for your marriage liscense and they have a room decorated with a preacher. You have to schedule it, but the whole process (taxes, certificate, etc) was less than $200. It was nice, different than what we are use to here in the process, you stop and sign the paperwork before the rings are exchanged, but it was nice nonetheless and not expensive. I have found it very simple so far filling out the paperwork needed and submitting it to USCIS. I could not afford a lawyer and the information is so self explanatory..I only part I am having difficulty with so far is my phone records, he calls me on my landline and I cannot get a record of incoming calls without a subpoena, but can't get a subpoena without a court case which doesnt exist.

    Good Luck and congratulations!!!

    This sounds grreat.

Can you give me more info on how I go about this.

I want to marry January 18. My fiancé lives in motego bay

    I live in Ny

I went to the registrar department website and. Emailed the form they have

Thanks in advance for your help

  4. I’m trying to plan a cost effective wedding. I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for an inexpensive wedding in Jamaica. I’m trying to keep a small wedding.

I’m thinking some where in Montego Bay.

On another not. I was meeting with a lawyer about the immigration process.

And her work of caution. Was have your fiancé provided you with a police record

So your 100% sure that the filling of the papers can work.

I never thought about this and have known my fiancé since 2007.

I trust his word but her you can never be to sure. He has agreed to get

In for me so we can move forward with out plans.
