  1. SOcial Security Number is needed if your wife would take the NCLEX. so if she don't have yet, then she can't take the exam here in PI but once she is there in CO and applied for SSN already then she can take the NCLEX and work if she already has the EAD. :) but while she can prepare for CES without any SSN required then the better. it's also not easy dealing with PRC or probably depends on the people's mood at PRC? lol

Some state don't require any SSN but lately, most state now requires SSN so she better file the soonest time.

About PRC, I do agree with you on that :bonk:

  2. @Monalisapod: is there an expiration for CES?

I'm not too sure tho coz it will all depend on which state your fiancee will apply for her NCLEX. The CES results will be sent to the designated state board of nursing where your fiancee is applying for. After that, the board of nursing will send an email notification stating that she is already eligible to take the exam and that she needed to register at Pearsonvue to receive her ATT (authorization to take test form). Expiration dates for registration at Pearsonvue may vary from different states. Some state allows an applicant to register within one year while other state requires only 4 months to register or else the entire application will be forfeited. As soon as she will receive her ATT, she will be given only 3 months to take the exam from the date of receipt.

  3. here is the CES application instruction handbook. this might give u an idea how to apply for CES. i did not read all of it but i found this in the handbook.

I think it is better to get ready for CES while your wife is still here in PI. then once she is ready to take the NCLEX, she already has the CES report as one of the requirements and much better if she is the one processing the required docs that deals with her school.and not to mention some schools are slow in processing papers.. headbonk.gif

True that! It took me a month to receive my transcripts and list of hosp hours rendered.

  4. Yes, she can submit all her documents for CES at the CGFNS even if she is still in Philippines. As soon as her credentials get evaluated by CGFNS, the Colorado BON will send her an email stating that she is eligible to take the NCLEX exam. It's better that she will process her CES while she's in Philippines because it will take so much time to comply the needed documents for the evaluation.

  5. She can prepare all the necessary documents (e.g. Transcript of Records, RLE hours, etc) needed for submission to CGFNS while she is still in the Philippines. CGFNS are the ones who will do the evaluation (they call it CES). as soon as she will arrive in the U.S., she can start to file for her academic evaluation (CES). She can also take NCLEX review classes while waiting for visa approval.

  6. No, because there have been over 50 approvals in the last 3 days. They are not because of congressmen.

It just appears that the CSC is going into overdrive! they are approving cases at unprecedented rates!

lets remember that the old rate for the last 6 months was about 1 approval every few days lol!!!

Whew! Thanks for the info, its such huge relief to know that:-) My fiance and I did not seek any help from a politician. We decided to wait patiently just like everyone else. I hope we'll get an approval tbis week. keep the positivity goin!!! :-)
