  1. Love me Uscis cannot deny the Aos after the vawa approval , but if a new information or proof come up and you never told them about it then just in this case they can deny the AOS. For example the petitioner before having the vawa approved got marriage and uscis didnt know about it well they will deny the AOS once nobody can get married before the vawa decision,or in the interview the petitioner say she or he is reunited with the abuser then uscis may deny the AOS case. THey won't deny right away they must submit to vawa unit to review the new information obtained. If you dont have any news or anything hidden in your case they can't adjudicate again your case.

    Sandranj, quick question for you..

does one need to be divorced before the AOS???

  2. DEWAVe,

That's really great man..I, on the otherhand, didn't have an access to her passport and her naturalization to proof her citizen.

Because of that It's been 2 months+ since I sent my package and they never give me NOA nor Prima Facie.

Even though I have her SSN and Driver License copy..I did ask them to look up her status for me..

But since October 4 2012, I never get anything from them..try email, phone call, follow up letter.

I barely have food to eat..at this point I can't apply for work permit either since I haven't got the NOA yet.

Good luck and hope your journey is going smooth

    Don't give up jessy007.

Have faith in the Almighty.I hope you get a positive response really soon.

  3. I Get very sad when i log into this forum and see people questioning our motives. this forum has been my safe haven, i always log on to vent and get encouragement from

here. For some reason lately i dont feel too safe here, everybody here has their own story and i pray to God that no woman/man has to go through some of the things i went through. If you guys dont hear from me for a while its because am staying away, but i will still post if anything changes. Thank you all for your kind words, may God protect us all.

THIS is why i felt compelled to say something about verysadguy...

    nothing personal!

stay safe yagana..May GOD protect us all.

  4. Yagana, can you post up your basic timeline please?

verysadguy....are you fishing for your wife here?

i read in another forum that your other half used and scammed you..

i do not have anything against you but i do not believe that your presence on this vawa forum is for the sole purpose of "helping " us.

i get angry at fakers and posers!

please stick to your investigation and leave us alone....stop asking people their timeline when you only have one objective : finding your wife who i assume from your other forum thread used you and has filed vawa!!!!!

good luck anyhow ,i do not condone what she did .nobody should be ever taken advantage of!

  5. I have been lurking on this site for awhile, and I have some comments and questions. We all know that VAWA marriage fraud is a growing epidemic in America now. I wonder how many of you so called "abused spouses" are really only trying anything you can to get a green card to stay here? If you were abused, or your marriage didn't work out, why not just go home? Is there another reason for filing a VAWA AOS? Could it be money? If you have no family here, or culture here, why stay? And if you entered into your marriage only for a visa to paradise, then I hope the USCIS starts cracking down on this marriage fraud so many are doing. I dealt with this fraud years ago, before it was advertised on the web as an easy ticket to american residency, and I think the entire VAWA law needs to be reformed. The fraudsters are making it very difficult for honest immigrant spouses to obtain a visa. Just my observations.

Thank you for your observations CurlyHoward.

Sorry you got scammed....now take your comments elsewhere if you have no intentions of helping anybody on this vaw

    thread...

Good luck to you in your futur endeavors. God bless you!

  6. thank you ,yes i never give up absolutely, do you think appeal better or refile again winch solution ?

i need keep my EAD card cause i don't like lose my job and my school etc....

to my understanding appeals take for ever and are usually a waste of time because they "almost never" reverse their original decisions.

so best bet is to refile. you should have 30 days from the denial to do so...

maybe try sandranj this time, you know she is a lawyer!.

The Almighty be with you ...

  7. Thanks Guys. Somone and 37shells, did you have biometrics when you applied for your i765? How long after you turned in your application did you get the biometrics appointment and approval of the Work permit? Thanks!

    Congrats resignedtoinswhim!

i received my biometrics notice within 3 weeks or so of filing...and the work permit 3 weeks after that.

they are working fast when it comes to the 765 i think...(they need our tax money i guess!! )

  8. Oh well thank you!!

I remember on I-360, they asked if I filed With I-485 and I checked no because I was planning on waiting till I-360 approval but now I change my mind.

    Can I just send -485 and 765?

Or do I need to write a cover letter?

Jesse...Sandranj already answered to all your questions !

She advised you to WAIT ! On page 18 she gave you an example of a cover letter sample detailing what you need to write when filing for your 765....

Take your time and re-read all the posts from the beginning till finish.

    good luck.

  9. somone California is the best State to get public benefits. You will be able to get medicaid and food stamp in California with prima facie.

If you suffered physical abuse and have at least a police report you can apply for "compensation for relocation" California makes a lump sump of $1.500. They won't give for victims of mental abuse, you need to prove that you were physically abused and you need to have a police report as well.

SAHILKUNDRA ...this answer was meant for you :)

  10. I applies same time as you but haven't even got my NOA yet..I filed I-360 alone

sorry to read about this Jessy007...hope all will be sorted out really really soon.

i did pay for my i465 ,yes, and it took about less than 2 months for EAD..i had to re-file bcz i had made a mistake! So when you look at it ,still not bad timeframe wise.

Hang in there!you will be fine,God is in control, always!
