Bro if your spouse applying for you she should have annually income more than $21000.Otherwise you should have find joint sponsor who have income more than his poverty level.
what you need from joint sponsor : A) copy of green card or naturalization B) joint sponsor's latest tax return recent 3 years( ie 2010,2011,2012)and fill up affidavit form i-864.C)copy of social security card
D)copy of most recent 3 paycheck E)proof of address
why i know, i am applying for my wife and NVC they ask all these document and when i submitted all doc after that they schedule interview for my wife on September 3rd.
hope fully u will find all doc.
thank you baral sir

1. I-864 signed by main cosponsor,
I-864a signed by cosponsor's spouse.
2. Per poverty guidelines, 60k seems to meet the requirement for 7 household members.
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf
3. You can write that in section 6, there is a part for your main cosponsor and household members (including spouse). Just ensure to include employment letters and recent paystubs of both.
4. Tax return transcript, current employment letters,recent paystubs, I-864 & I-864a.
Hope this helps.
thank you so much

hi all,
finally i got joint sponsor for my f2a visa. but i m in little confused so if some vj can make me clear, plz.
1:- my sponsor and his spouse jointly filling tax return. so i need to fillup two i-864 form or only one person is okey ?
- some are advise me that one person husband or wife whoever should fill the i-864. no need both of them. correct ?
2:- sponsor's family total 6 member with me total 7 and on the 2012 jointly tax return they have $60,000. this amount is enough for the seven house hold according to us poverty guide. but my confuse is if consular officer make separate the income. thats not enough by one person income so i need to fillup i-864a form spouse too ?
3:- for the indicate individual income (becoz tax return is joint) w-2 form is proved that ? how can i show their separate income to consular ?
4:- my case in running under administrative processing becoz to required joint sponsor. and they asked me to submit sponsor affidavit and tax return 2012. with affidavit form what others papers i need to submit ? this time i should be aware becoz if they required again more papers its takes again long time to approve my visa. thank you all in advanced.
-
now they required me joint sponsor. i m on process so when i submit after that they again review my papers and will be give me decision. thanx.Hi prasila, how is your AP? any news?
-
yes dont use the old one , i sent my papers with old one and they rejected my old I864 so make sure it new one
FYI
There is a new I864 form now. So don't use the old form.
thank you both of you. i do.
-
thanks lot.Prasila,
Talk to your spouse, who is in the US and find a joint sponsor. Make sure the joint sponsor has enough income to cover you based on this poverty guidelines.
-
thank you penguin_ie. and i m sorry about my stupid question for the sponsor. i m going to edit my topic. thanx

hi all,
after 5 days i called embassy today to check my visa status. they told that which tax returns i submitted of my spouse. that is under the usa poverty guideline. that's why they called insufficient income.
so they asked for the joint sponsor. joint sponsor's latest tax return and fill up affidavit form i-864.
i have some questions:
where i will submit affidavit form ? embassy ?
there is different type of i-864 form for the joint sponsor ?
any state living person inside usa also can sponsor or should be same state with my spouse ?
at the last,
anybody can help me for the joint sponsor ? or we can find anyone who willing to help like my situation ?

NVC had sent me IL for 16th July. I was eagerly waiting for the day. On July 1st, I had my medical test. My interview time was fixed at 1 p.m. of 16th July. I reached there before 10 minutes and completed all the security checks. I got my token and waited in a hall for my turn to come. At first, i was called to a counter for capturing finger prints. Again, I kept waiting for the next call. After around half an hour, they called me for general enquiry. The enquiry officer asked me the following questions:1. How long have you been married?- I told him the exact date of my wedding. But the officer asked me to tell him the period that have elapsed since the wedding day. I replied him accurately.2. Have you stayed in any other country for more than six months?- I had been to Dubai (UAE) and had stayed there for 2 years and 3 months. Then, he asked me to produce the Police Report issued by UAE. But, I didn't have one.- The officer also told me to produce the most recent Tax Return Certificate of my Spouse (sponsor). I didn't have this one too at the interview.3. Have you got any photos of your wedding ceremony?- I handed him a photo album of my wedding. At last, He told me that these two documents- a police report issued by UAE and the tax clearance certificate of my spouse, are very essential documents and that I must submit later. He asked for my original passport plus two 2X2 photos. He also kept my documents including photo album for reviewing and then he told me to wait for some time until they would call me again. After having waited for around 45 minutes, an officer announced my name from a counter. The officer showed me the forms and documents and asked me whether those documents related to me. Then, She asked me the some questions.1. How did your spouse entered USA and when?- I replied that she was taken to USA by her father through Immigration Visa.2. Is you spouse Citizen or LPR?- LPR3. With a doubtful expression, she repeated the question- Is your spouse LPR for sure?- I smiled in a confidence and replied 'yes'.She verified my documents once again and browsed my photo album. In that album, I also had kept my Credit Card of Bank of America that my spouse had sent for me. She showed me the card and asked me whether it was mine. We are using the same bank account jointly and I am using a supplementary card. I use this card to withdraw amounts as per my need. I told her this. I also told her I had remittance record and chat log of Skype and Facebook. But, She didn't asked for these records. Then, She returned to me all the original documents I had submitted to the NVC except Passport and 2X2 photos. She handed over to me 221G paper and made it clear to me that I should submit the tax return evidence. The 221G paper also indicated the same requirement. She told me, they would call me again after the submission of above evidence. She mentioned nothing regarding the submission of UAE Police Report. The next day I went to the embassy and submitted the tax return evidence. Although, 221G paper didn't mentioned the need to submit the UAE Police Report, She asked whether I have brought police report too. I replied that I hadn't. She told me to wait until would confirm whether it was needed or not. After a couple of minutes, She said that it was not needed.I returned home. Today is the fifth day. I have been waiting for their response.

I want to ask you one question, did you take your academic certificates and your work experience letters in interview? I am wondering if it is necessary or not!!!

i submitted on nvc but almost one year ago 2011 tax returns. so they required for the latest one but they didn't mention any thing on the IL. if they mention i can prepare before my interview appointment date. i ask embassy before my interview that time also they didnt tell anything about that. but no matter, i submit already and waiting for the next call by embassy.Didn't you submit that during NVC process? Does your interview letter mentioned anything about that the missing tax return paper and asking you to bring in interview?
As you said you already submitted the paper and is under review then it will be fine. Good Luck.
