Hi!
Congratulations to all December 2013 Interviews who got their visa on hand already! And to those who haven't been issued yet, just keep the faith.
I think its January 2014 Interviewees turn now!
January 6, 2014 here.
-
how did you get that page?
Through ustraveldocs.com/ph website. As far as I know online scheduling isn't available for regular F2A cases. We were just lucky because our case got expedited and we can schedule it online. But our interview date was waived by the USEM Manila for the month of January. That's why I was able to check the available dates.
Dont worry there will still be more slots for February contrary to what is shown on the pictures. Because some may reschedule their appointment date to January.
-
oh LoL my Bad... hahaha i lost track of the date
so yeah Case Completed Nov 29 that means Possible Interview Date will be around Feb 2014?
I hope he'll be here By March so we can Celebrate our Wedding Anniversary together for the 1st Time..
Just checked the available dates. Its possible that you'll have your interview date for feb 2014.

Hi guys, just an update, our request to expedite was denied by the embassy or consulate, thats what the email said....oh well, it sounded too good to be true to have my sister here sooner than later:((( Hopefully everything goes fine at NVC. Good luck to all!
Sorry to hear that...
Praying for your case. Just have faith. Everything will be fine.
Congratulations again!
Cool! Just count the days then. Haha! My case was sent last October 10 and they sent out a letter last October 22 but I just got it this Monday. So maybe, you can call them again after 7 working days after NVC sent out your case.
Thanks!
Actually I'm calling them everyday. Lol. Well, goodluck to my cellphone bill this month. Haha
The lady nga pala told us that we will be the one to schedule our interview once they received the physical files from NVC.
Yes. The Filipino interviewer just noticed that he is with me after she got all my documents. She asked if he is <name> then said, "Paano ka?" I told her that I asked the embassy rep if I can bring my brother along even though we are in a separate case since he's case was also expedited and she said yes. The interviewer then asked her senior about it and the latter said that it's fine and they will just search for his files.
Thanks again!
Just wondered this one because i can see people with one case being interviewed simultaneously. I just have no idea on cases like ours. Not anymore, thanks to you!
I can see on your signature you have already attended the PDOS. How is the experience?
how old is your brother? Did he took the peer counseling?
-
I was in the same boat as you! Congratulations!
NVC expedited my case without formal request. They sent my case and my brother's (we're not on the same case also) to USEM last October 10. I called them last October 22 and they said that they already received the physical files. The operator asked me if I already submitted the DS260, which I just completed but haven't submitted yet. She told me to wait for their email that day or on the 23rd which I did. I had my medical exam on the 23rd when I got their email regarding the waived schedule and just go their on any work day around 7:30am - 10:30am. I called them just to make sure if I can go their on the 25th since I will have to get our results on the 24th. She said yes and noted that we will be going there on Friday. I got my medical records the next day and prepared all necessary documents. Good thing I brought all the requirements. But I searched for photographic evidences that she's our mom on Facebook. So glad that I uploaded my grad pics last year or else. Haha I didn't expect to have our interview that week!
We went to USEM at around 6:30 and the guard said that we should wait for 15 more minutes. Come quarter to 7 and we approached the guard again and asked if we can go inside. He said to just approach the other guard in the tent. That other guard told me to fall in line to the lady in the middle. There, she asked me if I have an appointment letter and I just presented to her the email and she let us pass through. FF: The Filipino interviewer asked us to submit our birth certificates, NBI clearances, form I-864EZs', W2s and ITRs (most recent but I brought ITR 2011 and 2010 just in case), mom's passport and green card photocopy. We paid for the IV fee there because we haven't paid it at NVC yet. She just asked us some basic questions. What's my name, birthday, who's my petitioner, what's her work, when's her first entry to the US, how did she got her green card, what's her address. She also asked me if I was issued/ denied a visa and what's the reason for the refusal. She also asked if I had any photographs, which I luckily searched last night. She just looked at it and returned it to me afterwards. She made us sign forms. For me, it was a form that stated that I should stay single until I reached US or else my visa will be revoked. My brother signed the same form and an additional one about (selective) military service which is required for males age 18-26(?). The American consul was very nice to us. She just asked us our names and birthday and that's it!
I was nervous at first because it was taking a long time before she said that our visas are approved!
) It looked to me like she was changing our visa status to 'ISSUED' because she keeps on asking a worker there how to change something on the screen. Lol! Then she said "One window left! Congratulations! Have a nice day!" I was like, oh gee!
I keep on hitting my brother because I can't freaking believe it! Hahaha! After a long journey!
We got our visas after 5 days, on time for my birthday! Best ever!
keep us posted! I'm happy for y'all!
Hi Binashi!
I re-read your reply again on this thread. I just want to ask one thing on the interview were you and your brother interviewed at the same time eventhough you have two different cases?
Thanks in advance!
-
Good luck! I went there around 2am but I still have to return the next day.
I hope you all will get Immunization rather than Sputum.
Thank you!
) Did you call NVC/USEM already?
Yeap called them last night (philippines time) and confirmed that our cases was expedited.
Just today, i checked our IV case status at ceac.state.gov from "IN TRANSIT" it was changed to "READY" today Nov5. I called USEM Manila if we can already schedule our interview but they said that i still have to wait for the email confirmation from NVC or USEM saying that our case is ready for scheduling our interview.
-
It's this one: (632) 301-2000
There's no need for an appointment for advance medical. As long as you registered online and have necessary documents, you can go there and have your medical.
Once USEM have your physical files, try to ask them if you can set the interview date online. I checked the site and as of now, there are still 70 slots available for Nov. 19.
Keep us posted! Na-excite na rin tuloy ako. Haha! Hope it's a lucky day for all of us since I'll be leaving the country that day.
Thanks!
Oh, yeah I just went to SLEC's website they do first come first serve basis. And already did the online registration. Will go there thursday @4am and try to finish the medical in one day.!!! It's a bit tiring driving from Pampanga to Manila for two days. Lol.
Thanks for the info! Hope there will still be left slots for us the day USEM received our files. Praying...???
Yes. I will keep on updating this. So that people will have an idea what is going-on on a expedited case and also for future reference.
Wow! Congratulations! Have a safe trip.
Reuniting with family soon.! So happy for you.!!

Haha nah. My mom was just busy with work that's why she just left the responsibility to me.
You can call NVC several times to see if you can yield the same answer from the reps. I called them twice after I found out that my case was sent here just to make sure and both of them said the same thing: We no longer have your case. All further queries should be forwarded to the embassy. We were all in doubt because we didn't send any kind of physical documents. We only submitted DS261 and paid the AOS fee. What will they forward to the embassy? Lol So I asked them if they will still be the one to set my interview date and they said that the embassy here will contact us. But a piece of advice, don't wait for the embassy to contact you. I called them last October 22nd and the rep there told me that they just sent the instruction letter to us the previous day because I am about to age-out. But until now, we haven't received any letter. I don't know if it's because we are in Baguio that's why it is taking a long time before it will reach us or because the PhilPost is so slow. My mom actually received an interview letter there for us last week. Haha!
My dad is also busy but he wont really trust me at all. Lol. Thanks for the advice! I'll call USEM Manila maybe on friday or monday next week. May I ask what number did you use to call USEM?
Just to add if the NVC tomorrow confirmed that our case was already forwarded to the embassy, I will ask an appointment for advance medical at SLEC this Thursday.
and if the Consul will say that we have the freedom to when we want to come for our interview i'll make it on the 19th because it's Mom&Dad's Bday.
hoping it's a lucky day lol.

Yey! So happy I can help! You're welcome! No prob po.
I was also anxious and doubting last month because it felt like walking in the dark. My mom kept on asking me if we are doing the right thing because supposed to be, the petitioner will send the AOS documents and civil documents to NVC. I just confidently answered her that we are on the right track. I don't know if she noticed the lack of conviction in my voice but she trusted me nevertheless.
If we will base on my timeline, I think you all can have your visas by the end of the month and can probably go to the US before Christmas! Let's hope and pray for that!
Best of you, you were trusted. Lol. My parents dont believe what I'm saying (sometimes). Haha. They still want the confirmation from the NVC.
Yeah hopefully. In God's will. Thanks!
Have you called the NVC? Best to hear it from them instead of assuming,
Yes I will. Just waiting for Monday to come. Thanks!
-
Thank you nilo jayr!
No problem po. Glad to help! I was also asked by apple21 to post my experience to the topic I posted in the Philippines forum because I also asked for any advice the last time. I was about to write it when I fortunately saw your post. I dunno if our case is unusual but I haven't seen any timeline like ours.
Good luck!
Yes. Pretty fast, isn't? Just like every other advice from VJers here, be proactive.
) If I hadn't called the NVC, I wouldn't know that our cases were already forwarded to the embassy. (They didn't send any email to inform us.) And if I didn't call the embassy before we went to Manila, I wouldn't know that they already have our physical file and we can go to USEM for interview already.
Haha! I know right?
And also, you can actually bypass the people in the line. I'm pretty sure they hate me for it.
But then, if I am required to fall in line, the guard would have said so, right?
No prob po. Glad to help!
We can do this!
It was really a great help Binashi! Not just for me but also to those who will experience such case like ours in the future. Thanks a lot! I was still doubting about my case before you shared your experience. But now I'm pretty confident that this will going to be very fast!
-
Great, thanks. I think you are right about NVC's purpose, it s like pre-stop before it gets to embassy(since they mail it to emabassy anyway). So, you are taking a short cut, which is great! Just make sure you have everything they might ask for when you go there. best of luck to u guys!
Yeah lol! A super fast shortcut, with people getting checklist every now and then from NVC. Thanks to God he let us skip that part.
??? yeah i already told my dad to ship his aos package to us and our IV docs are almost okay. Just waiting for our cases to arrive at USEM.
) thank you. Likewise Goodluck!

Oh wow! Congratulations binashi!! And Belated Happy Birthday!
Thank you for the very detailed self experience information you've shared kababayan!.
Seeing your timeline From NOA2 to Visa release just took almost two months. ! Great! Hoping will be able to get our visa's that fast too! Just right to start the coming year with our father.
)
What i liked the most with what you have stated is that we can choose any day for our interview. Like a boss! Lol.

As long as you've placed your case number, petitioner's and beneficiary's name and d.o.b. correctly , I think they wont. Goodluck!Cool, thank you nilo jayr. I just sent it. I used my email address but the request was made by my mom. hope they wouldn't get confused:) keeping my fingers crossed! I think you mentioned that you didnt send any supporting evidence yet, are you going to take it to the embassy now?
Yes i haven't sent any documents yet to them just the AOS FEE(status paid) and IV (in process) .
And Yes, all documents will be brought at the Interview. NVC's purpose is i think, correct me if I'm wrong, is to pre-process all our documents to make sure they're perfectly all set for the interview.
-
Do you think I should keep the letter short and formal? thank you
No rule. Depends on you. Just make it clear why you want to expedite your perition. Yes, as much as possible make it formal.
Mine was just around 4 sentences long.
-
Your letetr must have been good:) Thanks for the info, I ll give it a try, since she is aging out and if PD will slide back she might have to wait a long time:((( Hoping for the best! Good luck to you with the rest of your journey!
It may be. But I think it still depends on the mood of the expedite request reviewer. Lol.
Just go for it. No harm. And don't even think of retrogression just have faith. Everything will be on the right place in God's will
Thank you.
Good luck to you too.
-
wow thats awesome!
You are going along on a ride:)))Amazing! My sister is turning 21 June 2014(my mom petitioned her), her case just got to NVC i think, I am thinking if its worth a try requesting an expedite since her PD is current now:) I know they say the rule is something within 90 or 60 days of turning 21. Did you use any specific format?
Really awesome!!
Oh, why dont you give it a try? Yeap a 60 day rule. But when I e-mailed them it was 4 months before she will turn 21. No, not really. I just made my own letter.
case number on subject line. Petitioner's name and d.o.b. & beneficiary's name and d.o.b on the body then the request follows.
) Goodluck!
-
Yes, your file is on the way to Manila. Once your CEAC status shows " Ready" you can call the Embassy to schedule for interview.
Yeah, I will. Can't wait for the status to show "ready". Haha
Thank you F2aSonofLPR!
Congrats nilo jayr! It is super fast!
When is beneficiary's 21st bday? Did you request an expedite?
Thank you KPACOTKA!
She's turning 21 this February.
Yeap. I was the one who requested for expedite. Without them (petitioner & sister) knowing. Haha. I just tried if NVC will approve my request (luckily they did. Lol) (there's no harm they say, so i tried
)
I emailed them 10/3/13 and received a response 10/15/13. Apparently, our case has just arrived at nvc the same day and her case was just entered into their system last 10/31/2013. It took almost a month from email up to approval. Not bad.
-
That's expedite! I knew a case that's same as yours. His sister is getting 21 sooner so she and her younger brother are in the the process of expedite. Congrats!
Really? Nice! That means such possibilities exist. I thought only her case will be expedited and we will be left out at NVC. Lol.
Thank you Jspl13!
-
Oh wow!. This is amazing. I am also hoping for that. Waiting for monday to come so I can call NVC already and to confirm what's going on in our case now
Thank you apple21.

Hello.
I have a question to ask regarding my case. Hoping somebody might help me.
My case went like this,
(Just follow my timeline on my signature)
I just recently paid my IV Fee and up to now it is still in process. But upon checking right now a message got me nervous. It's like this,
"The National Visa Center has forwarded your file to the US Embassy/Consulate General where you are applying for an immigrant visa.
Please contact your US Embassy/Consulate General if you have any questions. If you do not have their contact information immediately available, you may look up their contact information on their website. A list of US Embassy/Consulate websites is available through the US Department of State."
on how I underatand the given measage it seems that the NVC is sending my file to USEM manila. So, I rapidly went to the home page of ceac.state.gov and check my visa application status. Upon entering my case number the dialog box states that my case is IN TRANSIT and a message stating like this,
"Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center"
Though, I havent received any e-mail coming from them as to what is happening to my case right now.
What makes me puzzled right now is that why my case went IN TRANSIT without getting case completed yet. I have just already paid the aos fee and iv fee, but havent send the documents yet.
Right now, I am thinking that my case was affected by my sister's case. That is because we sent a letter to the NVC stating we want to expedite her case because she's turning 21 soon. But i don't know or didn't know that my case and my little sis case will be affected by the expedite request for our older sister.
As I said, I haven't received any confirmation email from them saying that our older sis got approved by the expedite request.
But, I think (also hoping) that she got approved because her case goes like this:
Oct15,2013 NVC received her case
Oct31,2013 case number assigned submitted ds-261
Nov1,2013 aos fee invoce and paid (status: in process)
Nov2,2013 case went IN TRANSIT, ds-260 form showed up but cant start yet because it says waiting fee payment ( showing on all three cases)
So, what do you think guys? Do you think that she was approved and we got affected by her case? Does this thing already happened to anyone here? Hope someone can share the same experience.

Hello.
have been silently following this thread for a while. Congratulations to all those who went CC and those who got the Interview Date already. Goodluck guys!
By the way, I have a question to ask regarding my case. Hoping somebody might help me.

Oct24,2013- CASE NUMBER received!
Hello NVC!
Though, my bro and sis's cases we're not yet entered into their system. Mine and my lil sis got our cases already submtted ds-261 and paid the aos fee.
-
Thank you apple21 and ivyvid for making things clear for me. Greatly appreciated thanks a lot guys.
I have one more thing to ask about the AOS. Does my dad have to send 3 different envelopes for the AOS ? Meaning does he have to produce i-864 with the supporting legal documents x3?
-
Thank you for the fast respone apple21.
With what you have said do you mean older brother wont have his NVC case number any time soon? I think I have read somewhere that his case will also be processed but will not get an interview date until his PD becomes current.
I know one case, it's from our far relatives petition, wherein even though their mothers case is not yet current, the US Embassy gave her visa during my cousins interview. We're hoping that this will happen in our case also.
Embassy Closed - dates through the New Year
in Philippines
Posted
Hi Hank!
"...you may come to the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Check-in Counter (Window 38) on any workday in January 2014 (except on January 2 and 8, 2014; Fridays; and, on U.S. and Philippine holidays) between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. for the visa interview."
That's from the email they sent to us waiving our interview date. I'm not sure if they will resume normal operations on January 2, 2014 though.
