  1. Hey Girl! I've missed you! How's everything going!? I am so happy and anxious about the interview! Counting down the days and minutes!!! lol.

  2. Thanks!! The waiting is killing me! But tomorrow's will be exactly 1 month! I see a countdown coming! Lol!

  3. Wishing you the best on your journey! I'm excited to see the outcome as my best friend will soon be in a similar situation!

  4. I love this site, but I hate the rude comments/messages. It seems that the posters here are becoming more rude. I followed this site for months before I joined and now I kind of regret joining :(

  5. Yes you need a letter written/signed by the other parent stating their consent for the child to travel outside of Haiti. The letter must be notarized...

  6. You could get an earlier interview than mine because when we dropped our files at the Haiti Messenger--the lady there only took the copy of the Sogebank receipt (ignoring my protest)... So, they considered us as "Missing Some Documents" and sent a package requesting that we bring the original proof of payment with us! So here's to hoping you get an earlier date :) :)

  7. Happy New Year :)

  8. Received my Interview Date today! February 14: The Day of LOVE :)

No. You just need to bring it to the Interview with you. Since it's attached to the passport, leave it attached :) No more money.

ok thanks! so you don't think they would also tell us we are missing documents as well? another question does this site always post every comment twice?

@dhaiti20: They will probably request that you bring the original receipt. However, your interview shouldn't be any further than mid-Feb. So, no worries. Unless you are missing other documents that they think would take a while to get...

This site hasn't posted comments twice for me--check your settings and see :)

  9. How's it going!? Happy Holidays :) Hope you are enjoying being with your husband!!!

  10. Hi Mrs Prince! Thanks for the comment. Yes, first you drop Package 3 off at Haiti Messenger, then HM sends it to the Embassy, the Embassy reviews it and checks to see if you have all the required documents. If everything looks good then your interview date will be set for about 2-3 weeks from the date of review, if not, then it's about 2-3 months! So I'm crossing my fingers :)

  11. Sent the Package. Haiti Messenger Appointment: January 8. Not sure if I'm sad or happy about this! But since this is the start of the Holiday period--I'll take it for what it is: Another Step Done! Yay!

  12. Welcome to VJ! Thanks for adding me as a friend :) If you have any questions or need any help, let me know!

  13. Almost ready to send Packet to Haiti Messenger. The Dr. took vacation time right after test! Medical Report was supposed to be returned on Dec 3. Now must wait until Monday, the 10th!

  14. Ok, so finally got a reply to my email! Packet 3 RECEIVED!!!!!

  19. Hi Barbie :)

How far in advance do you think I can get the Affidavit and supporting documents ready?

  20. I tried to change it online, but they wouldn't let me do it for someone living in Haiti. So, I called and they told me to send an email to get it changed. Waiting on a reply.

  21. I'm glad he has it though! How exciting!

  22. Wow your timeline is moving fast! Did you get an expedite on yours or it's simply luck and being in the California Service Center? :)
