Update: My husband came to America and I applied for his 3 girls which they to came to America. After that all hell broke loose. My husband started beating on his kids and myself. After I was sworn in as an Officer, my husband stop beating me but mental started abusing me. His 2 oldest daughters moved out of our house and got them a job and their own apartment together. Since I work long hours, my husband started sexually abusing his youngest daughter while I was at work. During the trial, I found out he raped his daughter in our home, tried to scare her from not telling me or anyone by telling her he will send her back to Africa. Long story short: my husband which will soon be my ex husband is serving 15 years in prison and his green card has been revoke and he will be detain from ICE and sent back to Nigeria after he serve his time. He also cheated on me in Nigeria with his wife that I didn’t know about and caught HIV which he did give to me. I am fine, taking my medication and I torn down the house we shared and built a new house. All three girls are doing fine and is happy their father is in prison. Learn from my mistake, get hiv test for your spouse or fiancé and do your research on him or her.

I have a question, once my husband gets here to the usa, should he wait for his citizenship to send for his children or should he send for them after he gets his 10 year green card? Which is the cheapest in the long run and the fastest?

  I was thinking the same thing that it will take longer for the kids to get here as a permanent resident verse a usa citizen. My only concern is his oldest daughter is now 17 years old. In 3 years she will be 20 years old and I don't know if it will take a long process to apply for citizenship like cr1 did( a year process).

  cant aford it right now. have to wait for hubbie to come first. 3 kids and 1 grandson is expensive.
