  1. My friend needs advice on his situation. He is US citizen, marrying a Philippino women and sponsored her to the USA via CR-1 to California.

    After getting her 10-yr Green Card and Social Security Card, she went back to Philipine blaming on her mom getting serious sickness. But my friend just found out (via some of her relative words) that she actually had her true love man in the philipine and came back there to live with him (while still married to my friend in the USA).

    Question is: if my friend filed for divorce in the Philippine (where they married) and granted, could she come back to the USA after that (since she already had 10-yr Green Card)?

    Thanks.

    If I am the husband,I will definitely talk to her personally about the relatives accusation.I won't just sit there and think about the divorce when everything seems unclear.

  2. Wow that would suck. I hope they didnt lose the fingerprint cards for us as we filed from overseas about 8 months ago. I called the military helpline and they told me that they can't look up the case number from the first letter we got. It has to be from the fingerprint letter (which we will never see because we sent fingerprints with the package). It is so frustrating. I may have to call again in a couple of days.

    It looks like we are in the same boat.Maybe we should just wait for a couple more weeks and see if we hear from them.thanks! Good luck !

  3. I don't want to scare you but, follow your biometrics. I heared about some people who missed their biometrics because the letter didn't come and USSCIS canceled their green card. Follow up. Don't travel either, so you don't put yourself in bad situation.

    The citizenship you apply for 90 days before the third year from having the green card. I assume you got the green card on June 22, 2010, you applied for ROC on June 23, 2012, You can apply for citizenship on June23, 2013. Good luck

    Yes I called twice,unfortunately they can't find my case. They had to collect a lot of informations from me as they need to make an inside inquiry regarding my case. The gentleman I had spoken the last time gave me a confirmation number,and told me to wait for 15 days.

  4. The citizenship filing window based on marriage to a USC opens 90 days prior to the 3rd anniversary of the date you became a permanent resident—not 3rd anniversary of marriage. Look at the "Resident Since" date on your GC and add 3 years.

    Yes, it's possible. If your ROC is still pending (unlikely, but possible) they will expedite it once you have an N-400 pending.

    Thanks!

  5. Has anyone applied for I-751(ROC) got their GC yet?

    I don't have my biometric yet,and I'm getting nervous about it.

    It's been 5 months now,I called the USCIS and I spoke to a gentleman who told me to wait for 15 days,he said if I don't get any mail from USCIS I have to give them a call again.

    Strange.but my GC is expired,and have 1 year extension.

    Question about Citizenship;

    We are soon to be celebrating our 3 years of marriage,do I have to apply citizenship 90 days prior to our 3rd year anniversary;

    or is it 90 days prior to my first GC 3rd year anniversary ?

    What if I am eligible to apply for citizenship,but my ROC still pending,is it possible to apply for citizenship?

    The reason I'm asking is because my passport is already expired,instead of applying a new 1 I rather just get a US passport and travel back with hubby

    To see my family.

  6. Thanks for the response. I asked because I got curious. I got curious because I read and article over the internet about how the wives used to be hundred years ago. They cook for the family, take care of their family, do everything for the family and they are labeled as "submissive wives." Hundred years ago woman don't work but stay at home and take care of their family needs. Right now Woman work and some husband stayed at home to take care of the kids while wife work 1 to 2 jobs. So, I wonder if in this case are guys can be labeled as a "submissive husband?"

  7. What really is submissive wife??? Is it when you try to do everything to make your man happy before yourself? is it when you let your man do anything that makes him happy? Is it when you are trying your best to show how much you love him? Is it when you think of him before you think of yourself? Is it bad to be a submissive wife?I am really just curious.

  8. Hello everyone, I am new here and a mommy to be. I filled to Removed the Condition of my 2 years geen card on June 20,2012. But till now I don't received any Biometric notice,it's been 2 months since the day I received the 1 year extension of my green card. Is there anyone here who filled ROC on June and don't received anything yet?I am just worried and this is not helping with my situation rightnow. Please I'm calling all the June ROC filers to share your journey.Thanks
