    sooo i was reading in the guides about the types of visa and i was comparing the k1 and the DCF one! and the DCF one only takes 3 months?!? i guess it would have been better to go with that one...or am i wrong?

      yes but that is only available if you lived in DR for two years and a bunch of other requirements.
