  1. Can anyone provide a link about permanent residents and international travel? the only thing I've seen is: http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-green-card-granted/international-travel-permanent-resident which doesn't say too much. I looked up canada on the dept of state webpage and nothing is said about US permanent residents

  2. So, I use Whatsapp to chat with my husband and viber to call him regularly (atleast twice or more in a day). I see an option to print message history from viber but not call history ...does anyone know how I can get a call history from viber and a chat history from whatsapp..? Thanks

I can give you the instructions for android... I'd guess iOS instructions are similar. Open the app, click and hold on the contact you're interested in. The last option in the popup should be "Email conversation". WhatsApp will email you the log

  3. *** My apologies for posting country-specific info on here, but Chile doesn´t have its own forum and it´s NVC-related ***

I know there are a few other Chilenos on here, so a quick heads up regarding the IV documents:

I´d heard in the past about NVC document reviewers rejecting the birth and marriage certificates from Registro Civil because they´re not super fancy, so when my husband went to get his certificates he specifically asked the RC worker if she could add an extra stamp or something to make the typical paper they give out look more official. The lady said she´d heard of problems in the past with the unofficial-looking official documents, but that they had worked everything out.

Welp, guess who just got a checklist because "the document you submitted is not an original or certified copy of an original issued by the appropriate government authority."

I sent an email to NVCinquiry copying the Santiago embassy, and will call NVC tonight and the embassy tomorrow when they open. I´ll let you know what happens, but OJO con eso. Any suggestions are welcome!

Though I'm not going through Chile, I had a similar problem with a marriage certificate. Request a supervisor review (and if needed talk to one) and it should get sorted out; i do recommend getting a certified copy and sending that in just in case though (and add a letter describing the situation)

  4. nice!! :dancing:

Okay, he said they kept his pp and the intrvw was like tens mins. Five for four ques amd five to go and make a copy of an original paper. He would not take the copy my husband brought.
    The ques:
    1. Where does she live?
    2. Where does she work and spell it please
    3. When and where did you meet?
    4. When did you first meet in person?

He said the workers were making jokes, saying that our case is the biggest they have ever seen. This is bc I had included 600 pages, (that were originally 900, before I stretched the margins), of our conversations up to the I-130 application submission. And when my husband tried to give them the additional 2,000 pages, they were like, um, no, no more papers. Lol. He said they were laughing about it though.

I think his comment about, we will know in two weeks, is his way of not jinxing it.

So, we wait until visa in-hand before telling family. :D

    Thank you guys!!!!

    ❤️??.
I am doing this, too. ?. So happy!!!

You know, without y'all, I would have been so clueless and lost for so much of all this process. Still will be when we get to each next stage. So, I will be here to stay for a while. :D.
