I also had status update on the 11th but so far no status update today. The embassy will close in 30 minutes I will check the ceac website again. Sometimes my status doesn't update until the embassy closes for the day.

Did the US embassy call or email you that your AP is over ?

no they only call you if they need some documents before issuing visa..but if every thing is fine than they issue the visa and mail it to you...

AP is over..with the thanks of ALLAH almighty after 1year 1 month and 17 days in dark hole of AP my status changed to issued today....

result..221(g)AP CO said that waiting time is 3 to 6 months.

average updates for first 5 months was 4 per months
in 6th month got call from islamabad embassy that have you ever travelled to middle east i replied no than person over the phone said send your previous expired passports with explaintaion letter which i did on same day,in the same month 8 updates back to back including sunday.and the last one was 28th of march and after that long silence no update than for about 8 months and few days.contacted white house no help same answer that its in AP,contacted senator reply was same AP but embassy asked for fresh medical only via senator,which i mailed to embassy end of august received by embassy on oct 04, emailed to embassy on oct 25th replied by embassy on 28th oct that still pending in AP.|
only submitted fresh medical requested by embassy and embassy never asked for frsh ds-230 or fresh pics.

sudden updates on nov 4th and 5th
than again on 9th and 11th which was public holiday but still it was showing AP,
This morning i checked it went straigh away from AP to issued,and status never went to ready.

during this time emailed embassy only 6 times
white house 1 time
senator 1 time.

Aisha i know its really hard when you are in AP and no clue what is going on in your case..never trust islamabad embassys website which states that cases in AP are resolved in 60-90 days it is totally wrong.

i am also in the same situation i have completed 13 months in AP at the end of interview CO told us that you will get your visa in 3 to 6 months but i have crossed the mark of one year and keep going and the last update when they worked on my case was march 27,so i am also in a real pain so please just pray from ALLAH ,me and my wife tried every where from senator to white house but no one is there to help,there is only one who can help us with his miracle is ALLAH so please keep praying and ask from ALLAH to help all of us who are in AP....

I am USC by birth and my husband was in AP for 22 months. There is nothing that anyone can do to supped up this process. So you just have to wait ....

Oh yeah and I would like to add .... My husbands case never got updated unless I would send a emai every month.

any way is your husband is still in AP or his visa is issued?

bro soccer.player this is not fair that they are targeting some applicants for nothing.if they have finished working then why they dont just make a decision why they kept the file in a side or pending?i think they are just digging our files that something may come up but only we can say that they are just teasing us and wasting our time in AP.but you are still lucky that they reply to your e-mails but in my case they dont bother i sent them medical on august 30 th to confirm that did they receive the medial e-mailed them on sep 17th no reply from there side yet not even update after getting medica.

soccer.player bro why dont you just ask them that please make a quick decision because if been over 3 years your case is in AP.in my case i spoke to a lawyer he told me to wait till complete 15 months in AP and thats suffiicent time as i have completed 13 months in AP and than i will file the writ against embassy....

guys you are still lucky that you are getting some updates on your cases even once in a month but in my case i have completed 13 months in AP and the last update on my case was march 27 and after than whenever i inquire date changes otherwise no work has been done.embassy only asked for fresh medical via senator office which submitted end of august but still no update on ceac site,they always have same answer that your case is pending......................so nothing we can do just waitng for embassy to work on the case or miracle from ALLAH...........

Anyone who file outside USA to chicago lockbox or anyone from Pakistan who send bank draft, is it acceptable by USCIS? Please elaborate me its so confusing for me. Appreciate your response. Thanks

dont worry about that its not a big deal.i also filed my i-130 from pakistan and we sent money through western union to one of our family friend and he made draft for us over there and submitted and its was approved without any problem.so i will suggest you find some one(family friend or relative)over there send him your i-130 file and later when he receive the file send him money through western union.

i know its really hard to get darft done from pakistan it takes ages to USCIS to cash it,so dont waste time on trying to get one from pakistan.

i got email to resubmit medical right after one year..... im just studying it...if do these people got resubmission request right after one year? or 2nd time? or more then 12 months being in AP?

mohsin334...i also got e-mail from embassy last month after completing one year in AP,that submitt fresh medical only.i submitted it in first week of september but still no update.but iam worried now that why they only asked for fresh medical only not for fresh ds-230 or rest documents.if you have any idea about that than plz share with me.

it means they are working actively on your case and your not far away from getting your visa may be day or weeks...keep us in your prayers iam waitng from one year in AP.

I feel the same way we have been seeing a lot of 2013 applicants being approved. I am very happy that embassy is doing its job, however its sad how interviewers from August 2012- Dec 2012 are stuck in the same situation. I guess apne apne kismaat ke bhaat hai.

sam7076.i agree with you ki apne apne kismat ki baat hai lakin,they have no proper system.they have to deal it from 2012 not from 2013 and let the 2012 and old ones wait and wait when we get time than we will touch your file other wise wait untill you can,they are working like pakistani system that late come first serve.

Hi Virgo2012. My husband's case is in the same situation He will get his medical turned in next week. The embassy only requested the medical. I hope they pick up on our 2012 cases.

no update so far...m still in AP.last time they worked on my case was in end of march after that no work done on my case...i guess they dont want to work on old cases,they only like to issue visas to 2013 applicants.

I got online statusupdate which just said refused for no reason its form isl embassy i now commit suside because uscis reaffirmed and nvc forwarded to embassy but they refused.

the best thing is to wait for there response,or involve your senator to investigate that what is going on with your file beacuse with the us embassy islamabad they will never give you the accurate information,they are just keeping us in dark hole.waiting in AP years and years is abusing the 221g in pakistan but nothing we can do juust everything is in there hands,no one is there to ask them why they are doing this to pakistani immigrants...

I am optimistic because 4 months ago the embassy asked for fresh documents, medical and my husbands passport. I don't know why it's taking so long for them to issue

i have no idea how the islamabad embassy works.all the old cases from 2010-2012 are still waiting in AP without any update and the recent onec in 2013 are getting issued with a very short AP duration.i am happy that atleast our pakistanis are getting visas but its unfair for those who are waiting for years and years,its not justice,.

after completing one year in AP on august 23rd i got e-mail from embassy that they only need my fresh medical and i emailed them back to find out that they only need medical or other documents as wel like ds-320 etc,but they said only fresh medical so i done medical and sent them on 30th but i think they didnt botherd to put in my file cause only last update on my case is on 23rd when i got email from them,

i think bacause they only asked for medical after one year my case is still pending and far away to get clear,and also any one know how long it take them to put receivd documents in the system.?

francengland.....I had my interview in sep 2012 and got 221g AP in march 2013 got call from embassy for travell history in form of previous expired passports and which i mailed them on the same day,than i realized my case was updated evey single day continiously for about 3 weeks xcpt sunday and the last update was on my case march 27 and after that nothing and iam stuck on 27th march i dont know whats going on?from sep 2012 after my interview till march 2013 my case was updated more than 80 times but still in ADMIN PROCESS.

just pray from ALLAH that help all those who are stuck in AP.the thing i realized i that they are working only on latest cases of 2013 and they dont bother to work on old caese...beacuse alot of visas are issued those who had interview in 2013 not those who had in 2011 or 2012....ALLAH help us...

It simply means that they only require fresh medical only. U r near to get ur visa.
