Congrats to everyone on approvals, interview dates, and EAD's
I woke up this morning to check my uscis and nothing new, so I decided to call and see what info I could get about my EAD since my interview is only 2weeks away, only to be told im still within the 3month time frame and to wait
I took a small nap, woke-up and checked again....EAD in production!
Im ecstatic! Ill run to the mailbox for the next couple of days. Although its on its way, I dont think I'll have enough time to do anything with it for the interview. What do you guys think? Should I wait for an approval until after my interview to head over to the SS with hopefully a GC on hand, or should I just go right as soon as my ead gets here?
Im asking because im not sure what the difference will be with an ead issued ss# card, and a GC issued ss#. I guess its my ocd kicking in.... I rather have a normal ss# card than the ss# card stamped with the "for work only" I think id find myself right back at the office after receiving the GC
You should definitely wait. Had I waited I'd not have to make another trip to the SS office. Sigh it's always crowded in there and they're terribly slow
-
Lol that was funny. Indirectly tell him to get with the program
-
Congrats to you and our wife
-
I would advise against combining the amounts of the checks. Make two separate checks in the amount of $420 (I-130) and (I-485) $1070
-
Good for you. Congrats

Did you guys got his SSN already? You can add him to your bank account with the SSN and same for license.
What bout you, any updates on the rfe response?
-
Same here, I haven't received text notification. I was actually in the middle of checking out drivers license info for Gesi and just decided to check and viola!! Congrats on your EAD!!
Congrats Kim I am so happy for you two. Soon as I get home I'm having a drink for you guys lol. About his SSN you have to go back to the SS office and have them change it soon as you receive your GC
-
Omg I am so happy for you and Gesi. Congrats

Our local office is Sacramento, CA. My husband (non USC) began getting nervous today. I on the other hand began relaxing as my nerves had me on high the last week!! We shall see tomorrow..
Same thing happened to me. The weeks leading up to my interview i made myself sick with worry(literally) and my husband (USC) was fine. 10 minutes before we got to the USCIS office he was a wreck. When we got called in he looked pale as a ghost and sweating like he was in the desert. You need to stay calm cause like i was told the "burden of proof" is on the Non Citizen. Everything will workout. Best of luck

They didn't say much except for the letter that they to remind me of the date I need to remove the conditions. She mentioned that we'd have to file 751 together and submit proof of our continued relationship. Also, they won't remind us to ROC. That's pretty much all she said on the subject

Good story!!! Phew!!
Congratulations!!
Lol you can imagine what it was like for me having to listen to all of this. Thanks
-
Let me join in on the congratulations. Does anyone know who (which locations) get assigned to this Holtsville location and which to Federal Plaza? Crossing fingers here for Holtsville based on the fact that it seems "less strict." We're in Queens, NY, by the way.
Thank you. I'm in Hollis.

I used to say the same thing. I want kids but I don't want to give birth to them. I ended up pregnant with twins and I had a c-section. Giving birth is not bad at all, I had a c-section and a week later I was doing normal life. Is just a few days of being in pain/annoyed, and trust me, you will forget everything when you have a baby (or more) to take care of.
I'm 30 and Sean is 38, he always wanted kids. Me, not so much...hahaha
Lol I'm not sure if its gonna work for me. I was in the delivery room with my both my sis and BFF when they gave birth and I passed out. It was too much for me. And me and pain aren't friends. I bump my toe and the sky is about to fall lol
-
Sean's BC is a shame. It looks like a Katrina survivor. I'm wondering if we could get a new one...
Lol lol he can get a new one from vital records
