Sounds like my wifes medical- more than one day- i am reading some others that get it all done in one day? can you enlighten me on why some are in one day and others in multiple days? or anyone else want to chime in?

Well since its only my wife then for TB they do a chest x-ray, on top of that they do a blood test and the results are sent to the doctor of choice a couple of blocks away from the lab. Then the docs performs the physical and shots while the X-rays and blood test comes up and is deliver. This is all done in one day. For children, the TB test is performed differently and i believe it takes 2-3 days.

Also this is in south america, i don't know which is tour consulate, it might be different

Not gonna happen. She has been paid and will execute. Yes VJ is helpful, but I am the type of person that if I need stonework done? I hire a Mason. I know what my strengths and skills are and leverage others to their expertise and experience.

I agree 100%. There are benefits to using a lawyer. I was just venting because like everyone else, we want what we want and we want it now! hahahaha

Not all lawyers are scams. Like any other industry or trade you must do your homework and research. Here is a good rule to live by, don't go cheap on lawyers and doctors. I did not pay through the nose and got someone who is quite experienced. I was just venting because I wanted the paperwork completed before the long weekend. You can not generalize like that, too many people generalize or lump certain people into a group. I am sure you have experienced this or are sympathetic to this in some form.

So frustrated by my lawyer....

I took a trip to Colombia to see my wife for two weeks. We spent one week in Bogota and then we went to the little town where her parents live and where we got married for a week to visit and get the missing docs. The local notary required that I bring my original docs less than 90 days old, notarized and apostilled. The flight was DC-Panama-Bogota-Baranquilla-4 hour car ride. about 6000 miles? I return to the US with the exact docs. I get the docs translated and notarized immediately and then FedEx them overnight to the lawyer.

Mon Email...The docs are enroute. NO response.

Tues Email...They were delivered, did you get them? NO response.

Tues Email...AoS and IV fees showing paid, Did you get the packets mailed? NO response.

Wed Email...Did you get the docs/packets mailed/260? NO response.

Email...Please provide status before the long weekend. Her response: "I am vacation...I will get to it when i return on Tuesday."

In addition...It was hard to call the NVC and wait on hold for 30 minutes from Colombia, so I didn't. She got an email on the 20th that the AoS/IV fees were ready. She forwarded to me on the 28th! 8 DAYS LATER!

Like we haven't waited long enough? She has had all of the documentation for months (about 3 inches thick). She only needed 3 things from me. I do not get any sort of prioritization from jher. No urgency. Poor communications. She works at home. In the beginning she told me "about 6 months." Piss poor customer service, I tell ya.

Seriously? My grandmother is from Sicily and my wife is from Colombia....does she know the heat we could bring on her! Luca Brasi? hahahahaha, i know its a bad joke but I gotta vent!

You have to know when your petition is shipped. I doubt very serious if that is yours and this is his. Keep checking. I know fridays is the usual send out dates.

Have you called NVC to ask when your petition went out or if it has or not?
