  1. Congratulations! That gives me some hope!

I came back from Poland yesterday. My re-entry was horrible! The line to the CBP was soo long but that's nothing. Of course they directed me to secondary control. The room was full of people but I figured that they just need to double check me becuase I only have the AP not a GC. However after one gentleman told me that he has been there for 3 hours I got worried. Mu husband was supposed to come pick me up and there was no reception or a pay phone in that room. I understand that they have to do their job but don't treat me with disrespect! The officers yelled "Put your luggage by the wall and sit down!" I didn't want to leave my bags unnatended so I kept standing next to it and one of the officers approached me and said "What part of 'sit down' you don't understand?" ... They even had a citizen there, an Army veteran who came back from a business trip. Go figure... Well, eventually they let me out after 3 hours, frustrated and exhausted :( But it feels good to be home with my husband and pur puppy :)

  2. I applied for the SSN in 2011 when I was in the Us for the first time, now I just wanted to change the name on it and its status since I got my EAD. I filed the application and the lady told me that it would take 6-8 weeks to print a new card!! I called them after 10 weeks and it turned out that my application was never put in the system. I went to the SSA office to file for it AGAIN. The guy was really nice but he told me that the system rejects my EAD probably because I am still in the process of AOS and he recommended coming back with the GC, he just gave me a confirmation that I do have a SSN ( I needed it at the DMV). So yea, it's been a bumpy road for me.

I'm in Denmark now, waiting for my flight to DC. The lady at the airport in Poland asked me "Do you have eeeee a green card? Or.... Something?" :D She scared me a little bit that she didn't know about AP but well... It's Poland :D

Good luck with driving :) I've been driving for 5 years no and they wanted to give me a learner's permit too because they didn't have a Polish translator at the DMV to confirm my Polish license. So I got an international one when I was in Poland. Now they will have it in 7 languages! I hope they'll be able to pick one :D

  3. Thank you for the links, I will go through it later tonight.

I am visiting my family now in Poland. I hope I will mot have any problems with re-entering on my AP. All this process is so stressful! A friend of mine travelled to Germany and she had no problems at the POE. But I am just so unlucky :( I don't even have my driving license yet! I've been to the DMV three times and every time they make something up. Love Virginia!! Haha :) Instead of a SSN card a have a printout from their system confirming that I have a SS numer... Please have mercy... But I'll get there, sooner or later :)

I read somewhere that people with receipt numbers starting with MSC have problems witch checking their case status. Does yours start with MSC too?

  4. I have an update from USCIS: After 6 months of waiting, they sent me a letter telling me that I got picked as a potential Interview Waiver case, and that due to "workload reasons not related to my case" adjudication of my case is delayed by approx. another 6 months. I will be waiting a whole year for my Green Card, after waiting 9 months for my k1 visa. Isn't it hilarious rofl.gif

Hi everyone! I am back on visajourney :) I am exactly in the same situation as you HK12: 9 months for my K1 visa any I got the same update on August 2. I don't know what's going on. I can't even check the status of my case because it says that it cannot be found. I called the USCIS but they say my case is ok, pending.. I just want it to be over, all this Immigration mess... Oh and I love your avatar! ;)

  5. Thanks Kaaha... and I see an arrival on the 17th, and you'll be together at Christmas ... that's so great !!

Yes. I am going to Warsaw (airport) tomorrow and will spend the night there. I'm flying on Monday. But as Tigerflower said, it;s so hard to express happines here when you guys are hurt :( Believe me or not, but I think about you every day, hoping that it's gonna be over soon.

  6. Guys a question... what did you put in ds-156 "1. how long do you intend to stay in the us? 2. what is the purpose of your trip?"

I'm having problems with scheduling my interview online. It asks me for DS-160 confirmation number which we didn't have to file. I called the embassy and the woman basically told me I am stupid cause no one has had problems with that so far... I chose K-1 option and it does ask for DS-160... I'm literally scared of calling again
