I'm having trouble formatting!

Can someone please update me??

Today (4/13/09) we recieved our Notice of Action that my husband is approved for the 10 year green card!!!

I didn't think we'd hear something until July so it was a nice surprise today!!

Has anyone ever had any problems coming back into the USA with an expired green card and the one year extension letter? My husband and I went to the UK a month ago to visit friends/family and had no problems coming back. He went back to the UK for 5 days without me and coming back in thru JFK they pulled him aside - in a nasty way and questioned the heck out of him! They even went as far as to question his extension letter saying it could've been fake. They kept him about 20-30 minutes. Good thing he had an hour and a half layover! Is there anyway to complain about how they treat those that have all of the proper documentation?? He's afraid to travel anywhere until the 10 year green card comes - and that's probably not until July at the slow rate they are moving!

We recieved my husband's Biometrics letter today! It's scheduled for 8/21/08!

Yay!

We just recieved my husband's Biometric's appointment letter for 8/21/08. Does this mean we won't have to re-interview? How long after biometrics is the 10 year green card received?

Wow! Glad to see other North Carolinians here! I moved here last year from Florida, and we're in the process of lifting the conditions for my husband. So glad there's an office closer than Charlotte!

I haven't been on these boards in quite a while, and I'm shocked and saddened by the news of Kezzie passing. The letter she wrote was amazing, I have tears coming down my face as I'm sitting here in my office.

Congratulations!!! I'm glad to know there's a Durham office. I moved here last year from Florida. We've just sent in our I-751 to lift conditions for my husband. Who knows if we'll need to have another interview or not.

I have the packet to send out today, but forgot a copy of my husband's passport? Is this a requirement?

Also, I only have 1 notarized affidavit from a friend.....is that acceptable?

The same thing happened to my husband. His EAD card was correct, but his green card had UNKNOWN (he's from the UK). We sent it back, made an infopass and got the stamp in the passport, and a few weeks later recieved the corrected green card.

Thanks everyone. What is interesting is that on EAD card the place of birth is correct. I think someone just messed up the green card. Do you think I should make an infopass appointment and at least get my passport stamped before sending the card back and requesting the correction? I just don't like the idea that I have to send it back and not have a proof of status in the meantime.

That is the best idea I can think of. THis way you shouldn't really have any probs with crossing the border for a visit back home.

My husband is now a Permanent Resident. We've moved to a new state, and we filled out the AR-11 and submitted it online. Are we supposed to recieve notification that they have received it, and do I also need to submit a change of address form being I am his wife (I am a US Citizen). Any help would be appreciated!!

I had my interview in Miami. I have to say it was a very pleasant experience for us. Our interview lasted between 5 and 10 minutes. Our interviewer just went thru our file and asked a few questions. He asked my husband what was his address, phone number. He asked to see joint statements, pictures, and that was it. The only thing that wasn't pleasant was we were still pending the FBI Clearance. A few weeks later my husband finally received his Welcome To America letter. Just be calm and prepared! Good luck!

As excited as we were to get our welcome to america letter....and the envelope from Lees Summit with the green card....it had an error on it! So it's been sent back. I hope they move somewhat quickly on correcting the error!

Well....we did put UK instead of United Kingdom. His EAD card came back to us fine...no errors on that. The country on there is listed as United Kingdom.

Oh well...I have it being sent priority mail today.....as long as I get the receipt for the I-90 we can get his passport stamped.

Just when I thought everything was going smoothly....we finally receive my husband's green card in the mail. My husband is from the UK...and where it says Country of Birth...guess what it says...UNKNOWN. How is that possible that they can mess that up?

So now I understand I have to fill out the I-90 form. Does anybody have some helpful information on filling this out?? Any help would be appreciated!!

I was checking my e-mail...and had 5 of these e-mails! I will be checking the mailbox every day like a nut case i'm sure!!

Ok, I'm filling out the AP application and in Part 1 it asks for Class of Admission. What is that? Anybody know?? Any immediate help would be appreciated!!

Well...I'm here to join this thread! We had our AOS interview this morning in Miami...and of course approved pending the FBI check. From my understanding there's a law that states the FBI check needs to be completed before the interview. We'll give it some time, and then see what kind of action will need to take place in the coming weeks/months.

Well...we had our interview this morning in Miami. I was extremely nervous but very well prepared. The officer that interviewed us only asked a few questions to my husband. He asked him to verify our address, his birthdate, and phone number. He asked for my 2005 tax return, any joint accounts we have together, original and copies of birth certificates, and kept a handful of photos. He then told us we were approved PENDING the infamous FBI check. He told us it could be tomorrow, a week or 10 years. Although he did laugh when he said 10 years. I am hoping it doesn't take that long....we have a trip to England booked for December. Our lawyer is going to go ahead and file for AP just in case we don't have the greencard in our hands. Thanks to this website I was prepared for the interview with all of our supporting documents.

Today we received our interview letter! Our interview is scheduled for August 24th at 9:30 am in Miami. Today was 190 days since we filed for AOS. Any advice...or did anyone else interview in Miami??
