I am so happy for you!!!!!! I just spoke with my husband and he is APPROVED! God, it has been nearly a year since we first submitted everything and now I get to see my husband in a few days
relief.....RELIEF!!!! I can finally relax....we're going to be together again.
To everyone waiting....it is worth every second of doing things the legal, and hard, way. I know waiting is hard when you have to be away from the person you love but it will pay off in the end. I'm so happy

WHEW I'm getting butterflies. His interview is in 4 hours and I know, even after reading all those interview stories, that evreything will be fine but we have waited for this moment for SOOOOO long. Nearly a year. This website has helped us out so much and every post that someone makes, no matter how small, makes a difference. Thank you to everyone who contributes here.

Lol that's alright! Thank you all so much!

Ok that's what I thought! Whew that's a relief about the $230 because I knew I already paid and thought they needed more! Lol. Thank you so much!

I just figured that after the application fee, affidavit of support fee of $88 I paid then on top of paying the IV fee online (I think that was $230) then the medical exam that I was done with fees.....

I thought we only had to pay for delivery of the visa. There's another $230 we have to pay after the interview? It's for a cr1 visa

I'm so excited his interview is tomorrow! I'm nervous too tho! Any tips? He is going to the London embassy and I wanted to know how much he has to pay once he gets it approved tomorrow. Thank youuuu!

And thank you for the detail in the info you posted on your timeline. I ordered a tax transcript from the IRS and will provide copies of my wage stubs for my husband
I already sent everything in but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. He has a photo book that I made online that he is going to take in to show them in case they ask for pictures. Did you get asked for pictures at the interview?
-
Ah I see. That makes sense about the taxes now
Thanks

WOW! That's fast! How was your interview????
I read your timeline info but was sort of confused when you mentioned that the woman asked for your spouses tax info. I already sent that in to the NVC so should I send more copies to my husband?

Called yesterday and I was informed that the case was complete at the NVC and we should expect an interview with the London embassy. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an interview date? I have kept my timeline updated whenever I get news and have looked at similar timelines to mine but my question is still unanswered. Im so excited to be with my husband again!

After waiting around 5 months and 10 days I finally got the NOA2!!! So excited. I am an August 2012 filer! Just updated my timeline too

I am leaving for england tomorrow for 2 months and I would like to fill out those NVC forms in advance. What forms do I need to fill out? I already sent my last 3 years of IRS transcripts with my I130 app. What else do I need. I am trying to crunch everything into these last few hours that I have to get ready.
Thank you!!!!!!!

what's 'touched" mean? Mine sent on August 8th. On August 16th,We got email and text.Said our case is routing to VSC. That's it.Never transfer to somewhere.Never said touched. Our case statues now is Initial review: On August 13, 2012, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Is it normal? Will my case next step should transfer to somewhere or touched before waiting for NOA2? I waiting to make baby. Can't afford to wait. Will be too old.Plus i miss my hubby's nice sexy and warm hairy chest.
LOL!!!!! Just don't say that at the interview!

I also have a copy of my home owners insurance policy since I really would rather not bring a copy of the deed to my house/property. Thank you so much for your response tho. I don't know why I get so nervous! It's stupid, I know....but I guess I have always been a nervous person and it just about always turns out that I was nervous for no reason.

Well I have one more week to go. Should I bring anything other than my NOA1, letter from employer, bank statement, letter from school saying I am a current student and on the deans list, itinerary with return flight information, my business license. Anything else or do you think that would be fine?

My husband had a hell of a time getting into the US but border patrol in Seattle was very nice and we even had a nice conversation about London over the phone, talking about the places he still wanted to go and my favorite places to travel. Maybe he was supposed to talk to me about that stuff but either way it was a casual conversation and he was a very nice guy. About 2 more weeks before I leave for England for 2 months!! I can't wait. I guess I shouldn't really sweat it anymore, I plan on telling the complete truth regardless so I suppose there is nothing I can do about it, lol. They either like what I say and let me thru or they don't and I get pulled aside. I mean, Im not traveling with anything illegal and the alcohol I'm bringing in is well below the 1 liter limit so I'm not too worried
Not too worried until I get there anyways, lol. I do enjoy hearing stories about personal experiences, so keep 'em coming!!!

I filed Aug 13th. Still no NOA2. A mass approval would be great! lol, but highly unlikely. I'm just praying we get our NOA2 soon, same as everyone else
-
Ah yes, so I am picking on you now? I just don't appreciate someone who makes assumptions is all. Get off your high horse. Thanks
-
I get to spend 2 wonderful months with my husband in only 20 more days! I know its hard. I love my husband so much and it tears at me to be away from him. I hope i get my noa2 soon, but just remember that everyone is in basically the same boat as you. So you are not alone

Actually 'left coast lady' you do not have to be a resident of a state to get married in it. And yes, I do know what I am talking about because I had my notary license in Michigan and that is not a requirement. Just because I didn't get married there does not mean I don't know what I am talking about...Thanks
-leftcoastlady--Also, please do some research before assuming one doesn't know what they are talking about.

Your passport is good enough. You don't have to be a resident of the state of Michigan to get married there. That is what the state i.d. is, is just showing you are a resident of the state of Michigan. Your passport will be enough documentation. Don't worry, I had to go thru the same thing in Idaho
What to bring to Port of Entry (other than sealed packet)
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
So my husband and I will be reunited (and it feels so good!) on Wednesday (TOMORROW!!!) and I want to know if there is anything other than the obvious that he needs to bring with him when he goes through the port of entry (seattle). Obviously he needs his passport and the sealed packet but is there anything else? Thank you
