  1. vermont advance you think a bit more than California in recent months, I am in almost five months into the process and anxious to receive my NOA2, how much longer we have to wait for those of us in the office of Vermont, is long expected, but I hope in God my approval soon, everything is in the hands of the almighty.

I am July filer also i am hoping it will come soon.... I was praying i would be lucky and get some good news today seeing its my birthday..lol I wish.:)

  2.

A lady I work with came here on a K1 visa from India and said it only took her 2 months. She said her son married someone and did the same thing. She said it was this quick because she used a lawyer.

Is this true? I'd never thought it was necessary to hire a lawyer for this if you can do the paperwork yourself. Why is there such a vast difference in processing times?

I'm majorly frustrated because I can't even start this process yet...am still suffering through custody battle/divorce hell. It'll likely be another year at least before I can bring my fiance here. : ( Anything to make it go faster once I'm free to apply is what I'm hoping for.

Having a Lawyer does not make the process any faster at all you still have to wait it out like everyones else. Good luck
  3. With the exception of a few who I feel for deeply, would you say that vsc is generally speeding up?

I noticed the majority of noa2 dates of recent weeks were only 6 months flat. Also there are less petitions on vj for april and may than there were for jan/march/feb. IS it dumb of me to hope maybe mine might be done end of December early jan? 5.5-6 months instead of end of jan 6.5 months?

Some guy made some awesome lil graphs showing that vsc was speeding up but that was a couple months ago. I wish I knew how to make graphs so I could add recent approvals. You guys might lol at me for even having this hope but march is our anniversary and I'd love to be with him for then

When we filed in july i thought we'd be together by nov  , then after vj i thought jan/feb, now i don't even know if it'll make march

I am a July filer also and i hope it will be by march.....Patienlty waiting

  4. Hello Everyone!!! So happy to see so many have come to play with us in our sandbox of waiting!!

I don't know if any of you remember Madlibs? The game where you put in random words and then the end result story comes out totally hilarious!? I found a website for it....so I thought if we wanted to, some people could fill them out (be a funny/dirty/silly as you want) and then post your result. I think it might be a tad better than play8ing games on FB hahaha. Who knows?

I might be on and off over the next 16 days as my love is here with me (yay!). It's been 4 months...so we have a LOT of catching up to do!! :)

So....for fun....let's all try to share the CRAZIEST or most creative thing they've done on skype to pass the time. Naturally, I know where most of your minds have just gone... but try to keep it KINDA clean if you can LOL

Wishing you all a day FULL of funny distractions to keep your mind off of the wait!

All of our best, Denise & Andrew xx

We have date night we do dinner and a movie and we also leave skype on all night so its like we are sleeping next to each other (better than nothing) and sometime we go shopping together ill put skype on on my phone and he travels with me....

  5. The waiting is a slow form of torture...! It really is quite upsetting to see CSC people blowing past us :( They really need to even it out a bit. For now...I will keep hoping and praying VSC speeds up! Here's hoping you hear something ASAP! In the meantime, feel free to hang out here where we plan to keep each other entertained and laughing for the coming months!

It surely a form of torture.....I work in retail so these next couple of months will be busy for me and will go by fast so we are going with that lol... hoping to get to see him Jan or Feb for 10 days... some days my heart aches bc we are apart but in the end it will be all worth it... Thank God for skype.... :jest: :jest:

  6. I'll join this party. Received NOA1 on July 12, 2012 and 'patiently' waiting but the extended processing times at VSC are making me anxious and I can relate to everyone's frustration. I'm lucky enough to see my fiancé by visiting him every 1-2 months for a few days but it is costly and we just want to start our life together.

you and I have the same Noa 1 date.... good luck

  7. So what will be your wedding song? Any recommendation? My wedding is less than 2 months. I will be putting down a $1,000 deposit when my fiancee lands in POE October 5.

What will be a good song for a mother/son dance? Let's share some ideas.

either Broken by Seether and Amy Lee or Cant help falling in Love by Elvis Presley

  8. Hi. I was wondering how long it was since anyone has met up with their bf/gf and how they have being coping with the separation?

5 Months... we skype daily and we also have date night dinner and we will watch a movie together.. lots of texts and always try to send pics whenever we do something with friends or family. and we also leave skype on when we go to sleep so its like are sleeping with each other (better than nothing ) lol.. but it will be all worth it in the end..... :D

  9. In my case took me 6 month and 15 days since the moment we filled until I had my visa in hand. Took me 4 month to get the noa2 or aproval. Compare to cr1 (petition for a foreign spouse) up o 8 to 12 month. My processing time is the average, but depends on every case and if you got an RFE or not. But usually takes 5 to 11 month (rare cases). When I started my journey a year ago( exactly today), we talk to a lawyer and only the k1 proces was near 2,500dls (last year) and for the AoS another 3000. We decide to followed the guides ad we had and amazing journey without rfe or dlays. Now im waiting for my EAD nd my greencard interview. So far so good. No lawyers

i had an attorney do paperwork for me for the K1 process bc i was afraid i wasnt gonna do it correctly then i found this site... MY question is.... is the AOS application difficult does it require alot of paperwork we are not at that point yet i was just curious Thank You
